Well it's easy to do, so yes I do it everyday for this. I spent a year planning this event, so I wouldn't want anything to go wrong with it because of an oversight. Sides, it happens once every 4 years.

But it was actually a life-long dream to play with tables and tally up scores and assign points to winners and losers and to proclaim a winner in any tournament really. And I'm very happy it came to life through MLPF. That's why I host it, despite this, the 2 RPs I have to keep up with (both I enjoy deeply), my summer job at my lab for my Masters program, and playing the piano and violin.

I was there for the whole rest of the way, and there was no vote changing. I refresh every 20-30 seconds. So there wasn't any hooliganism at the very end of the game between Fluttershy and Luna.

What about those who look at the results before voting?

I can't control that unfortunately. There isn't an option for me to hide "show" results before you vote. Of course my moderation isn't perfect because I have limitations as a member. That's why the mods help me. 

 

The way I see it, someone seeing the results before voting is like me telling the scores live to everyone. So it's not a problem.

vote for Rainbow Dash!!!! She's the Pegasus that helped all the Mane 6 find there hidden talents, resulting in their cutie marks. Without Dashie, Twilight wouldn't have become an Alicorn, no one in the Mane 6 would have their cutie marks, Twilight would have never have come to Ponyville, Celestia wouldn't have a faithful student, and just no MLP in general. Vote for the mare with the gorgeous rainbow mane, rose eyes, blue coat, that can do a Sonic Rainboom, and will certainly be the second princess in the Mane 6!

Ladies and gentlemen,

 

It is with deepest regret that the moderators have told me of a voting fix. There was a member who created 8 duplicate accounts for the sole purpose of voting in Princess Luna for the World Cup semifinal in her quarterfinal encounter with Fluttershy. As you all know, the final score of that encounter was 114-108. Because 8 of these votes are fake, I will have to subtract 8 of Princess Luna's votes to compensate for the fix. As a result, Fluttershy, NOT Princess Luna, will be heading to the World Cup semifinal against Rarity. 

 

The moderators are currently checking further for any other discrepancies that may have arisen during the World Cup Quarterfinals. Rest assured that so far, they have NOT found any other issues with duplicate accounts. I will continue to alert you to any other updates. 

 

Keep in mind that characters who are victims of vote fixing will NOT be disqualified. We will just remove the duplicate votes from the tally and use the modified score for the results. 

 

As of now, Fluttershy has won 108-106 and will face Rarity in the semifinal TONIGHT.

D'oh!  I just KNEW that someone went and made 40 fake accounts to vote Twi.  Everything makes sense now...
