The possible results are: Democrat, Hardcore Democrat, Republican, Hardcore Republican, Libertarian, Hardcore Libertarian, Moderate, Traditional Democrat, Neoconservative, and Collectivist.

 

I got Moderate, which isn't surprising to me, I have pretty moderate political views lol

I was moderate, however I always consider myself independent simply because I don't think voting for a party because they are your party is a good idea. I vote based upon what I think the solution to the issue is, not what party I like, that's politics by popularity contest.

So... I'm a Republican. Not hardcore, but I'm that. I answered maybe for most of them because I have no idea on stuff like the Patriot Act   ; I'm Canadian after all!

My views were lumped in with Bill Clinton, John F. Kennedy, and Jimmy Carter, classifying me as a Hardcore Democrat. I should note, of course, that while I almost always vote Democrat, I consider myself an independent liberal rather than a true member of the Democratic party.

 

Specifically, in each of the four categories, I am: 

• A social progressive - Agreed.
• A social capitalist - Agreed.
• Libertarian - More or less.
• Pacifist - Kind of. I recognize that historically war has sometimes been an ugly necessity, but I feel it should be avoided at all costs.

I think the quiz is a bit too specific and doesn't truly cover the full political spectrum, so while I can see some resemblance to myself in these results, I do have questions about this quiz's veracity.

Explains my views pretty well. Even though I'm somewhat a pacifist, I do think military is important, but war should be avoided as much as possible.

I just enjoy taking these things, even if it isn't targeted towards my own country. I got hardcore democrat and the categorical breakdown really isn't much news to me. The one thing that caught me off guard was that it put me towards authoritarianism because of my stance on guns. I've never been pushed into that area before.

 

(but yes: Social Progressive / Social Capitalist / Pacifist, I can agree with.)

Accurate for me at least. There is no way to measure how intensely one feels about these issues though, so its not exactly all that comprehensive; someone can have an opinion but not necessarily feel as passionate about acting on it over another issue that means more to them or affects them more directly.

It is not perfect but it is a lot more accurate than most political quizzes I have seen, as the results show I am a libertarian. But while I still do not fit firmly into the far right or the far left I am quite a bit more radical than the results of the test show. Ron Paul is the closest I am too of the people it compared me to and I am proud to say that I supported him for president but I am even more radical than Ron Paul in some areas and I am not ashamed to say that because while I don't claim to know or be right on everything sometimes it is the people that are viewed as crazy that are the ones that actually have their heads screwed on straight.

I value privacy, against censorship of Movies/Games/ETC. by the federal government, and I am against abortion (Unless it could kill the mom).

I mean, why would somebody want to be blocked from seeing gore, and swearing by the federal government? It just shelters people from real life. Citizens are smart enough to make their own decisions!

I always thought of myself as a conservative, but I guess I was wrong.

 

I noticed that many of the people who claim to be democrat on this thread seem to think the test is wrong. Maybe Americans actually do think similarly but are blinded by lies from politicians. I think parties are a waste of time. That was George Washington's rule. "Parties will just split America apart". Look how right he was. Many Americans are fighting over really tiny things and it is just because they aren't in the same party. To me, parties mean nothing.

I got Republican. Well, seeing how my family is ultra conservative, I'm almost guaranteed to be wired to think that way by default. :/

 

A lot of those questions had me scratching my head thinking for all possible solutions which made it hard to pick a side, and I'm just rather ignorant about other issues in general so I don't feel as if I can answer certain things, so I'll take the results with a grain of salt. More often than not I can see the points from all sides but I do have a tendency to lean right.
