What's wrong with heat season? It'd make sense for ponies to reproduce that way since real life ponies do. Lauren stated that Equestrians reproduce via normal mammalian reproduction, so it's entirely possible that they'd go into heat.

1. I swear, it's like Tommy Wiseau or someone takes over a lot of these.

2. I've seen some Tyrant!Lunas (Post-NMM!), and they're just as facepalmworthy as the Tyrant!Celestias.

Yes, a lot of the gorefics tend to be overdramatic, which is why they're most hated.

* Any fanfiction that 'labels' Rainbow Dash as a lesbian (which I consider cliche) and wastes time explaining she only likes mares. If you want her paired with one of her friends or another mare that's fine but please don't go with a stereotype.

 

* Any fanfiction involving the idea of the Solar Empire and Lunar Republic, especially Celestia's made out to be the villain and a tyrant.

 

* Any fanfiction that feeds the ideas of Tyrant Celestia or Trollestia, and Molestia if actually used for Celestia.

 

Any fanfiction that involves Discord being a misunderstood good guy, made him friends of Celestia and Luna, or pairs him up with either of them as a couple... expecially Celestia.

Also I must agree when it comes to having an alicorn OC. There has only been a single exception to this, the only current example of an alicorn OC I actually like and believe was done well.

 

Nyx of Past Sins, partly because technically... she's not in OC. There is actually more to it than that, such as the author successfully selling such a character to me. His explanation for her existence was acceptable to me, unlike most where such a character is related to one of the royal sisters or an alicorn 'just because'.

Hah, I've actually seen a story that was the direct opposite of this. In it humans were naturally as gifted with magic as unicorns, but earth was totally drained of magical energies. Get one of those humans into Equestria though, and they could be a wizard with effort.

One thing that quite annoys me. Making Mane6 shipping with themselves. C'mon, they're just friends. I also have group of close friends. Is it necessary to ship us cuz we're close friends? xD

Equestria is a giant world. There are some stallions that could be shipped with someone from Mane6. You can create an OC and ship him with f.e. Applejack. Shippings like TwiDash, ApplePie are quite... unoriginal and nonsensical for me :V .

I also don't like term "lavender unicorn" used for Twilight Sparkle. But it's just mine little and weird objection ^^.

Especially when the anthros have sex. I don't mind generic looking OC's with normal colors etc and ones that actually have a background. But all these horrible emo OCs just make MLP depressing and dark.

1. Dark edgy pasts, it seems like everyone and their mother had their parents die, their village burned down, and they have some kinda curse.

2. existing for the sole purpose of "interaction" with show characters, I don't mind stories about background pone, but your OC+rainbow dash in some sort of love escapade is not only very common, but not even entertaining to read.

3. universe crossovers, unless it is done VERY well, and seems like it could fit with the shows cannon (ie someone from Faerun void walking into equestria by accident.), they always seem like a hamfisted LOOK I LEIK DOCTUR WHUUU! type crossover. 

4. stories designed to generate "feels", like my little dashy, you could see the ending from the title alone, and the human in the story did not learn anything, nor did he have any character progression. The whole thing felt like some one took a green text story in a feels thread, and made it into a mini movie.
