music Who's been to a Concert?

Freeze-Frame

Recommended Posts

I've been to more concerts than I can even think to start counting. But I would have to say that my favorites to go to were:

  • Sing It Loud
  • Slipknot
  • Korn
  • Tegan and Sara
  • Ed Sheeran
  • Asking Alexandria
  • Warped Tour
  • Bamboozle
  • Disturbed
  • Dropkick Murphys
  • Sublime with Rome
  • Macklemore

And I can't even think of the others; I did recently get Katy Perry tickets for the summer and I'm more than excited about it

I feel like i had a really good "introduction" concert, with that i mean my first ever real concert.

I went to see Iron Maiden on their latest tour with my dad and uncle. Now THAT, was a concert!

It think it was the best moment of the summer, and the opening act was really good too! Both Sabaton

and Voodoo Six made really good "hypers". And i also had the luck to get a picture taken with the drummer of Sabaton, a good

kinda "idol picture" for me, also being a drummer myself :P

Overall a perfect concert!

The first concerts I've ever actually been to and liked were three at Aquire the Fire in Denver. Actually, four. One in 2012, for Tenth Avenue North, and the other three in 2013, for We Are Leo, Rapture Ruckus, and Disciple.

Then there was a concert at our church for The Rhett Walker Band.

After all these concerts (minus the Tenth Avenue North), I collected ALL the autographs!

Being able to capture a great show and have a recording is a wonderful way go one step further in appreciating and collecting music. Seeing or hearing a band live is so much different then hearing the same album for the 20th time. If anyone wants to trade their pony swag for some great recordings of old shows lemme know. You just might twist my arm. :P

@@Freeze-Frame,

OH YOU LUCKY LITTLE... -GRUMBLES-

I went to see the band Dr. Hook at my local college. (They are indeed famous.)

I've seen Muse in Cleveland (Good show, but there were people singing and shouting so you could barely hear the band itself...)

Going to see H.I.M., or His Infernal Majesty in Cleveland at the House of Blues. Hoping to get up close to Ville Valo. My sis is taking me. She's a concert vet. (Been to mosh pits 'n' junk.) I'm fifteen. I'd LOVE for Led Zeppelin to go on tour again next year. I just wanna be in there when the drums to "Rock 'n' Roll" starts. It's mesmerizing to go to a concert. While I was at the Doctor Hook show, it was a small outside stage, so you could get right up close to the band. And you'll never believe this, when I took a picture of Ray (lead singer), he posed and pointed at me. (That phone's broke and I am SO mad.) Concerts are fun. If I ever have a kid, they're not listening to pop. They're listening to the rock that I was raised on.

Off the top of my head, I've seen Assemblage 23, Dreams Divide, Agalloch, Alcest, Wodensthrone,Dornenreich, Eastern Front, Iron Maiden, Global Citizen, System FX, futurefrenetic, Murderdolls, Deathstars, Black Veil Brides, Kamelot, Saxon, Children of Bodom, Def Leppard, Whitesnake, Slipknot, Rodger Waters (Pink Floyd), Dragonforce, Machinehead, Arch enemy and quite a lot of other bands which I can't really remember.

I was supposed to get tickets to see The Cure yesterday, but they sold out of affordable tickets almost instantly.

Just dug up a bunch of concert tickets. Apparently I've also seen Clan of Xymox, Velnias, Calatrilloz, Phosgore, Doro... Lily Allen... Umm.. okay... Nicko McBrain's side project, and a whole bunch of other random Industrial and Metal bands I'm too lazy to list.

I've also seen a whole load more bands and acts where I never actually got a ticket, but the only ones that spring to mind at the moment are Alien Vampires and X-RX.

I've been to, like, 3 concerts in my life. I've seen Korn and Rob Zombie together, BNL and the Trans Siberian Orchestra. I'm really not a big fan of concerts. Being packed with thousands of other people in a bright, flashy and very loud stadium isn't my idea of a good time.

I saw Flogging Molly live in February of 2013. It was amazing holy crap! It was my first and probably one of my favorite concerts I've been to so far. I remember crowd-serfing lol.

My first concert was a local band at small venue near my house that my Uncle took me to.

It wasn't anything too spectacular but to me it was absolutely amazing. I'll never forge it.

I've since been to see many many many concerts & they just keep getting better.

Some of my favorites have been:

- Camp Bisco '06 (Infected Mushroom & Sphongle wut wut!)

- Phish (they are always amazing)

- Roger Waters on 10/10/10 (insane)

- Merlefest '12 (nothing like this fest, super chill!)

- The Steel Wheels '13 (not a big name, but a favorite band of mine by far!)

- Hot Augsut Blues, Oregan Ridge Park (Grace Potter brought me to tears!)

- The Horrorpops @ the ottobar (I think this was in 2004?)

I love music, I love live music, and I go every chance I can afford to.

Nothing like it really.

I've been to several symphony concerts in my life, does that count?

The symphony is great! Totally counts.

Three times I've been to Weird Al concerts. The first was in 1996, the second was around 2000 (I think?), and the third was in 2008 or 2009. Bronypalooza, a concert that happens annually at BronyCon, I attended at BronyCon last year, but skipped out on in 2012.

So I've been to a total of four. I'll be making my annual pilgrimage to BronyCon this year and this Bronypalooza will make my fifth concert.

By the way, I've moved this thread to the Media Discussion forum and tagged it as a Music thread.

I've been to five pretty wicked cool concerts so far!

I went to see:

  1. Sir Paul McCartney - This one... What can I say? It amazed me, and when the Delta Police Pipe Band? You can garunTEE that the concert was f*cking AMAZING. It surpassed how amazing I would have thought it would be. 10/10!  ^_^  :yay:
  2. Metallica - This was about a year after the KISS concert, which was in August 2012. That concert pretty much rocked.
  3. The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses - This was the second greatest concert I went to see; being a Zelda fan, every single song was PERFECT. VERY worthy of being in every respective remake of the Zelda titles, for sure! :D
  4. Star Wars Orchestra - This was also flippin' EPIC. And with Anthony Daniels narrating in between songs? This makes it one of *the* definite Star Wars Symphony, EVER.
  5. KISS Ok, I dislike the band to no end, but I have to admit, it was fairly enjoyable. My dad had to drag me to see them, since he told me he'd waited "32 flippin' years" to see them. So I grudgingly went along! This was in 2011.
