What is your favourite insect?

2 lined spittlebugs and crickets (either field or house crickets)- I have great memories of myself and my friend in early elementary school on the playground catching and observing them.

Any kind of mantis, or a stag beetle. Dragonflies are cool too, actually.

Disclaimer: while I think all of these insects are really cool, I really wouldn't want to have any of them on me, and if one would fly directly at my face I'd run away screaming, probably.

I like spiders for the most part. If there's one hanging out in a corner of a room and not getting in the way I usually just let it be. But I don't like to kill them. If a spider is in the way or my cat might try to eat it, I'll take it outside and set it free. But I prefer keeping them around because of what they do to other pests that might enter my home.

(I use a variety of One Direction albums to keep ants out of my kitchen.)
