More mythical races? Yes or no?

For example how would you feel about goblins in FIM?

 

They wouldn't have to be a terrifying force, nor overly ridiculous but yes they could be both things.

I think ponies are missing a mischievous race in general to be apposed by.

 

A race that wouldn't share the values of friend ship,

but unlike changelings would literally need to be exterminated,

for practical reasons.

The Diamond Dogs that Rarity had to deal with reminded me of goblins.
I think there is a chance they could put in more races but they probably would have MLP's own spin on them.
The classic look of the most well known fantasy races wouldn't really fit in with the show world I don't think *shrug*

Yeah I'm not a big fan of "throw in the kitchen sink" writing or crossovers. The show has enough pandering and they need to deal with the other beings already on the show.

it's 4 seasons just for griffins to catch up with back ground ponies.
