My favourite main character is Applejack, my favourite secondary character is Starlight Glimmer, my favourite CMC is Applebloom, and my favourite background pony is Derpy Hooves. I can't decide between the young six though.

For Applejack, I don't usually like earth ponies. But I consider Applejack very special! For Starlight Glimmer, she represents a very interesting experience of my life. I consider Applebloom very cute, and Derpy Hooves cute and funny! For the student six, I don't really know, but I think I will go with Sandbar because he was the one brave enough to save his friends and spoil Cozy Glow's plan in the season 8 finale.

Good ol' Twily. She just seems like the most real and relatable personality to me. I guess it makes sense since she's the main character.

For many years it was Rainbow Dash. She was the first character that brought my interest towards my little pony and I related to her being being fairly athletic myself. 
Then for about two years it was Soarin, because he's my favorite wonderbolt and felt he should have been treated better in some episodes. Also helps that Matt Hill was a voice from my childhood. 

But now my favorite pony (and it's looking to stay this way) is Applejack!

Applejack to me is the perfect example of the pony I feel like I can relate too. Her character is simply too hard to ignore and I admire her being the pony holding the element of honesty. Being truthful and transparent has been something I emphasize myself as I don't like to live under a false image or tell others without the need for attention. And If someone asks for the truth, I ain't sugar coating it.

Applejack is also a prime example of hard work and serving for others. The one thing she doesn't display too often throughout the series is the appreciation toward oneself. She'd rather help the family and her friends first and then reaching towards herself. I myself take that to heart as someone who believes the greatest gift is to give. Holding value towards family is very important to me and seeing it displayed throughout the show makes me think of my family. 

 

And last but finally not least...She reminds me of working hard on the farm. My maternal side of the family are mostly farmers or work in agriculture so seeing some of her hard work on the farm reminds me of me going out to the ranch helping out activity with livestock, or having fun with friends riding dirtbikes or shooting some guns.
Plus she got countryisms like there's no tomorrow! 

So Yeah. Applejack is my favorite pony!

Fluttershy, in my opinion! She's so kind and caring... I love her. Also, Bright Mac, Braeburn, Princess Luna, and Yona. I have my different reasons, but it's either I liked their character designs or characters.

For the mane 6 , I would have to go with either Twilight or Fluttershy. Both have amazing personalities and so it's hard to choose a favourite. 

Starlight would be my favourite secondary character, as I can relate a lot to her and the character development that she goes through is a meaningful one

Honestly Twilight is underrated because she's the main character. She is sooo realistic and makes mistakes, and her personality is so incredible.

Maud. She's funny and my bio dad's a geologist. So her being a petrologist has a special place in my heart.

Other than her, I also like Big Mac, Apple Jack, and Derpy. And she doesn't really appear in MLP: FIM but I also really like Minty.

Princess Luna is my favorite pony. Her design is beautiful, and I find her very relatable. Plus I'm naturally a night person, and a lot of my other favorite characters are associated with the moon like Luna, it just feels right.
