Hey I play ukulele!

I also have a dulcimer and a psaltry I pluck around on sometimes  :P

But I was wondering if anyone here plays other stringed instruments or knows of some other pony instrumentalists =]

My main instrument is guitar, which I've been playing for about 5/6 years, but I also play violin (8 years), string bass (9 years), and mandolin (about 4 years)

I really like learning to play string instruments, so I think my next purchase will be either a sitar or a banjo.

I own a guitar. I'm going to try to teach myself how to play eventually. (I've already owned it for a year, and I've barely touched it.) :derp:

Awww that's a bummer. I wish I had more time to learn my other instruments. But I hope you pick it up sometime soon :)

A Sitar would be super unique, but I've never played one before! But a banjo is a blast as well if you enjoy fun finger picking patters! And a mandolin is such a nice sounding instrument, along with the violin :)

I don't play them, but I love how they sound :P

That. Was. So. Epic!!!!! /)^3^(\

Those guys were rockin it, they remind me of David Garret too!

I'm an avid violinist/violist myself. I'm no pro though, it's just a hobby. I wanted to pick up the cello as well but I never got a chance.

I desperately want to play guitar too.

Technically piano is a string instrument >:3

But anyway, I play ze bass a little, though not very well, and I tried the cello because my sister used to play it. She still had a lot of books left and since I can read notes I could learn to play it quite easily. It's not anywhere near good, but the noise is recognizable!

How would you walk, how would you talk if you thought: "Three percent of the population likes classical music, if only we could get it up to four percent we'd be back in business and all our problems would be over." How would you walk, how would you talk if you thought: "Everybody loves classical music! They just haven't found out about it yet!" It's an entirely different world. It's what you make of it that counts.

I found an easy way to find out if you've inspired someone. If their eyes are shining, you know you're doing it!

I started playing bass about 20 years ago, when the regular bass player started being unreliable. My main instruments are acoustic guitar and drums-haven't really played much bass recently, but it's fairly easy to pick up again due to it's proximity to guitar. Once you've got the technique down, you're off and running.

I've never heard of Mighty Boosh-at this point I've lived in New York for nearly 20 years, and although I  keep up with some of the stuff from the U.K, that one's gotten by me.

Thanks for the friend add btw-pleased to meet you. :)

I play the viola for my school's orchestra. I guess I'm fairly good for my age, although I've only been playing for four years, so it's not like I'm a pro at it. I'm also trying to teach myself guitar, but I haven't gotten that far yet.

David Garrett sounds like such a cool dude to be around. He plays the violin amazingly, I loved his rock covers.

I play cello, I'm not great but I'm.... average for someone who has only played it for 2 year.

WHOA! You're from the Uk? Do you know about winegums? They're my favorite candy and I first tried them at a shakesphere festival in Oregon. But yeah, do they sell them there? Because if so, I can order them from there or something?

Yup-Winegums. Made by Trebor iirc. I always liked them and Fruit Pastilles. I bet you can get them online.

There's a site for a store called U.K Gourmet, where I buy my tea and Prawn Cocktail crisps. They'll probably have them.

Hello [ChuckinBrony]!  Just so you know, I have moved your thread to the General Discussion section, as the Fan Music section is used to share your musical endeavors with other members to both enjoy and provide their input and opinions on your work.

And while I am here, I will say that I just picked up playing the violin not too long ago.  I have always wanted to play it since I was in the fifth grade but my mother did not agree with the idea for one reason or another.  So, now I finally have the chance to pick it up and see what I have been missing.

Not me! My mom has a couple of violins, but... I think I play enough instruments as it is, and all of my love needs to go for wind instruments!

Still, the other day in orchestra, I noticed one of the cello players using her instrument as an armrest, and I wish I could do that... xD Oh well.
