it happened to me tro cry sometimes... i hate it.. after that i feel like an idiot, i should not cry, what is the bloody point of crying? i hate it when i can't control myself and let myself go.. i don't think it is a sign of weakness... but for myself it is, because crying means being sad, and i can't afford to be sad

Considering how much I have been crying as of recent, I would say it is not.

 

Crying shows that something is seriously wrong to those around you. That you need help.

I have to admit, while I am by no means fragile, I cry very easily for a man my age. I don't often bust into hacking, uncontrolled sobs, but I get teary eyed often during emotional moments in my favorite TV shows. Yeah, it's lame, I know, but I can't help it no matter how I try.

I say it's both depending on the situation. When I'm depressed I cry because of weakness, but in other situations, I cry because I'm getting up from being depressed.

That fully depends on the situation and circumstances. Showing your emotions while society or your peers or whatever usually frown on that, that's strength. Having a crying fit because your favorite sweater isn't dry yet, that's weakness.

I think it differs in context, if it's a mild situation it's probably a sign of weakness but if you're in WWII and got captured by the Nazis then it's probably a sign of strength
