Tempest smirked slightly. "Bad move." He said. "Drago, use attract followed by tackle." The trainer assumed that JigglyPuff had taken a large hit from the fire fang, so he needed to attack fast.

As soon as the trainer gave the command, Drago lunged out of the ground behind Jigglypuff at a high speed towards said puffball, before using attract.

Lurele blinks and tries not to laugh during Scraggy's dragon dance, placing a hand on her Torchic's head and trying to point the hyper fire type at the Scraggy.  "Torch, sweetie, looks like it's time for a battle.  You ready?"  "Chick chick!"  "Alright then Torch...  Use Peck!"  Torchic chimes up again before her beak starts to glow just a little, and the hyper fire Pokemon rushes at Scraggy in an attempt to jab it with her beak.

Espeon obeys firing a stream of stars at the cat. "You can keep going, I've got this under control." Cilla says to the girl. "This Glameow won't be bothering anyone else once I'm done with it."

Revvy had gained a smug look on his face. They didn't seem to realize he could manipulate the attack from this distance to hit him in the back. But that look the Koffing was giving him... The Gastly started drifting closer, allowing the combo attack to dissipate, much to the dismay of Locke. However, this closer proximity gave Revvy a perfect chance to use Night Shade. His body gained a larger, ethereal form surrounding him to make him look more intimidating as he became surrounded in a red light, which would subsequently send a nearly invisible, red-black beam at the Koffing.

@@Leafeon,

The curled up sandslash bounced backwards upon contact with the croagunk. Rather then attempting to reverse direction back towards the enemy, Warden continued in the opposite direction, picking up further speed. The rolling rodent out-paced the croagunk's attempting to counter-attack.

"Don't just keep away from it, Warden!" Cecil advised, and the sandslash responded by setting itself on a curved path, making a return trip to strike the enemy with greater speed than previous.

Croagunk nodded to itself. Now seemed like a good time to use the attack it had been saving up for the perfect time. As Sandslash came closer, Croagunk braced itself for the hit. It's fists began to glow red, then it's entire body began to glow as well. When Warden had come close enough, Croagunk used one of it's fists to block the move, using Counter. Though Croagunk still took some serious damage, it was still more or less fine to battle.

Jigglypuff spun around to be confronted by hearts and a Gible about to tackle her. "You call my moves bad?" Cheren asked, sarcastically. "Use Dazzling Gleam!" Before any of the hearts actually hit Jigglypuff, they were wiped out by a sudden flash of bright, pink light. Drago should be hit by said light as well.

Though Scraggy was hit by peck, which was super effective, it did not move. As Torchic continued to peck at it, Scraggy suddenly hit Torchic with it's head, throwing it a way off. Scraggy remained in the position of having it's head somewhat down for a few seconds, before jumping back up and taunting Torchic to come closer yet again.

Oh bother... Aw crap! Locke had been too absorbed in his thoughts and the Assurance attack hit spot on. The sandslash was hit fast and far by the croagunk's Counter, nearly smacking into Cecil, who just barely dodged out the way. He turned to face the croagunk, giving an impressed whistle, "got to hand it to ya, that was a nice move." A smirk crossed his features, "all the more reason I should add you to my team!" He turned around towards his sandslash, still spinning and rolling around the area. "Yo! Warden, you holding up?"

The curled up sandslash bounced off a speedbump in the road, and uncurled itself mid-air, responding with a "sand!". Before it hit the ground again, it curled back up, and continued rolling around.

Cecil turned back around to face the croagunk, "unfortunately for you, it is quite difficult to deal any serious harm to my Warden when he is curled up. Sorry, but fisticuffs just won't cut it."

The sandslash curved around for another pass at the croagunk, barreling towards it with tremendous speed.

Revvy was launched upwards out of the purple gas and a red light surrounded him as he returned to his Pokeball. Crap this thing's strong! Clarion definitely couldn't take it, but Vera's inexperienced... Ohhh... Vera's still probably stronger. "Alright Vera, get ready for your first battle!" Locke threw his pokeball into the Smog, which was promptly dissipating thanks to all the activity going on inside it. It had cleared enough for Locke to see the Koffing, as well as the Sentret that had come out of the Pokeball he threw. As it came out of the Pokeball, the Sentret rushed at the first thing it saw, which had almost been Roxie herself. But the Sentret saw the Koffing floating in the air and jumped at it at a blinding speed, intent on tackling it almost back into the gym leader.

"Alright, Koffing! Use Taunt!" Koffing began to taunt Vera, making an odd face and blowing out more brown coloured smoke than usual. "Assurance!" Koffing began to barrel towards Sentret. It was going rather slow, though, so the move would be fairly easy to counter.

"Oh my...I'm so sorry I thought you were in trouble." Cilla says, her cheeks blushing. "I'll just erm...Move along, come on Espeon." As Espeon follows Cilla she notices Glameow's claws glowing. "Esp..." the Pokemon says quietly. Her tail quivers as she waits for the right moment to strike.

As Cilla and Espeon turned to leave, Glameow suddenly struck, pouncing on Espeon and using Fury Swipes (or at least attempting to do so).

"Tsk." Cecil uttered in frustration, standing back up and readjusting his scarf. "You're an adamant little ruffian, I'll give you that."

The poison sting hit the sandslash in the torso, but the little prick hardly phased it, though it'd been surprised. "slash?" The sandslash walked up toward the croagunk, clearly more concerned than ready to continue the battle. Cecil looked down at his sandslash, "sorry, Warden. Prideful thing doesn't seem to want to back down quite yet. You don't have to continue fighting it, if you don't wanna hurt it more." Cecil paused, and then said, "or, if you just want to take a break."

The sandlash nodded, "sand..." and backed away from the croagunk.

Cecil beckoned his growlithe to come. "Alright, Scout, you know what to do." "Grow!" The growlithe ran up to the croagunk, sniffed it, and then proceeded to bite one of its arms with his Fire Fang.

Cecil fumbled around his pack for another empty pokeball, clearly not concerned as to whether his growlithe's attack connected, given the croagunk's handicapped maneuverability. He grasped one firmly, "alright, now stay in this time. I don't want to rush you in to emergency care because of your stubbornness!" He tossed it towards the croagunk.

Croagunk's natural weakness to fire types certainly wasn't doing Croagunk any favors. When Cecil through his next pokeball, Croagunk had no chance to resist. The pokeball shook. One... Two... Three. The pokeball stayed shut. Croagunk has been captured.

Lurele had smiled as she caught the Scraggy, though a look of shock crossed her face when he burst back out of the Pokeball.  "Umm..."  She walks forward to pick up the Pokeball, crouching down in front of Scraggy.  "Uh...  Welcome to the team?"  Her Torchic had run back up to her side and was watching curiously as Scraggy...  Stared at them...

After what seemed to be an awkwardly long pause, Scraggy looked at the Pokeball and gasped.  "Scraggy?"  Laughing quietly at the Pokemon's...  Impressive...  reaction times, Lurele reaches out to pat the Pokemon on the head.  A flash of red light and Scraggy was back inside the Pokeball again, and Lurele also withdrew her Torchic to be safe.  "Well that was...  Interesting, to say the least."  Putting both Pokeballs away, Lurele turns to try and find her way back to the Pokemon Center.  It was a good thing Castelia had so many maps posted around with directions...

...

After leaving the Pokemon Center, Lurele started to follow the signs directing her towards the Gym.  We're going to challenge this one for sure.  As she got closer though, she noticed the Seeker's Building not far from the Gym's entrance.  The trainer's mind drifted back to what she'd encountered so far...  Comet giving her a Pokedex, Stella's opinions on the Seekers, the one that had tried to rob her that supposedly followed Kyurum...  Her curiosity was getting the better of her.  So with a glance towards the Gym, she nods towards the building as though saying wait there, before walking up the steps to poke her head into the Seeker's building.

"Umm...  Hello?  Anyone here?"

Lurele's entrance was immediately greeted by a panicked looking young girl. "Who are you? Are you from Nimbasa?!" She asked. Her panicked expression showed off in her speech as well. "Wait... No you're not. Lady Reshiram isn't ready to see people today! Please come back tomorrow. Or in a week. I don't know." As the girl was saying these words, she began to push Lurele out the door.

Tempest smirked slightly, and shook his head. "I don't think so. Cynder, use ember." He said.

Fennekin jumped off of Jigglypuff's head, but fell asleep before she could pull off the attack.

The trainer sighed, as Cynder fell to the ground. "I should've saw that coming." He thought to himself.
