Disney Pony Merchandise?

Celestial Wish

Recommended Posts

So I went into target tonight and picked out some collectibles that I've started buying...

I stumbled across this puzzle tin box.. I walked over to the price scanner and it registered as Disney Puzzle collection...

I walked up to one of the associates and asked them if it had been mislabeled... they said nope and I just stood there with "Wut" all over my face.

Isn't that.... bad that it was labeled under Disney?

If it becomes a big enough thing yea. As disney doesn't own MLP in the slightest, and Hasbro has been known to be quick on the guns with the C&D's and legal teams.

But it was most likely just a store throwing it in an area with other related "girly" objects.

I almost contacted a manager because that's selling under false pretenses.

whaa...Good lord, I think yall might be going a little overboard on this....It's probably just keyed in wrong into the Target computer; so it's probably targets fault not Disney. I bought this same puzzle tin at Dollar General and it didn't come up as a disney product on the dollar general computer/receipt.

It probably is just that. And seriously people. You're overreacting. Hush it isn't true and even if it was I don't see the big deal really.

And this is one C&D I will whole heartedly support. I don't want Disney having their name within 500 words of ponies.

500 doesn't even cut it. Try multiplying that by 9000 and then maybe we get a bit closer to the actual number.

Actually one of the downtown disney stores used to have a build a pony section during G3. They had special outfits that were disney inspired characters and you could choose a G3 pony and an outfit and accessories. They also did this with I believe it was Mr. potato head.

I also have a boxed set of special edition G3's that was a collaboration between Disney and Hasbro...

There is a connection but disney doesn't own MLP, I think it's more of what they do with G4's, licensing deals with other companies to produce and/or sell pony stuff.

Although Hasbro DID produce a line of G3 MLP Disney princesses. Here's pinkie pie as Cinderella:attachicon.gif$_3.JPG

Yep, that's one in the set I have :)

Personally I really don't like the previous generations. Tried to watch all of them and they just don't appeal to me at all. Honestly I wouldn't even give G1-G3 merch another look. Most of the merch Hasbro sells for G4 is like brush'ems trying to look like past ponies. I really want some real good figures that look just like the show I can display. I'm not into brushing really. The mane needs to look neat sure but I wouldn't fret over it.

You are well within your right to not like whatever you want. Nobody says you have to like previous Gen. I and obviously others were giving some history on MLP and the disney connection from G3. Everyone is free to take that info or leave it.
