What if a villain got ahold of the Elements of Harmony?

What do you think would happen if a villain stole the Elements of Harmony from the Tree of Harmony? Would the villain have so much magic that he's unstoppable or would the Tree of Harmony lose magic. And is it possible to remove the elements from the tree?

I don't think anyone can use them unless they embody one of them like the mane 6. Because I don't think we'll see a villian master kindness, generosity or any of the other ones, I don't think we need to worry about that.

 

I think the tree would lose its magic if one of the elements were removed, though. That could be a potential threat. Maybe they should post a guard there.

Well we already saw what happened when Discord got them, but I think the biggest threat would be Teirek. The Elements use the Magic of Friendship and that guy inhales magic. If the elements can take out all the villains power, they must have a lot of magic for Teirek to feed on. He probably wouldn't even need alicorn magic if he had that kind of power.

Well, it might be like the crystal heart. Sombra couldn't use it as it embodied love; whereas Sombra was the exact opposite, and he was destroyed by it.

 

I have this feeling that the Elements would be likewise.

I think he could use the elements, just like Celestia in the season 4 premiere.

The tree would lose its power, and the vines would come back.

The princesses have removed the elements when they discovered the tree, in order to use them against Discord, so it's indeed possible to remove the elements.

 

Discord had them in his possession when he escaped his stone imprisonment the first time, but he didn't seem to exploit their power and instead opted to hiding them away while executing his plot to brainwash the mane 6. Sunset Shimmer got a hold of the element of Magic, while she used it while in another world, she did gain power, wings and a crazy looking demonic appearance. I think that then it's entirely possible to use the elements to draw some of their power, but that power can't be used to harm those attuned to the elements, namely the mane 6.

 

As for the tree... it's hard to say. We know it started losing it's magic once the elements were removed, so perhaps they act as a charger while they are in place. How much magic then did the tree of harmony restore is a different question altogether.

The Elements of Harmony chose the Mane 6 to carry them. Equestria Girls showed the elements knew who their bearers are and will resist any attempts of having their powers used against their bearers.

Um, nothing would happen. Watch season 2. A villain had possession of the elements but they're worthless to those that are not destined to personify/ponify them. As for the tree, the vines would not come back. They were destroyed. It makes me wonder why they don't just reclaim the elements unless the tree has to recover for a thousand years or something.

^ If that is the case, I guess any unicorn or supernatural creature could use the Element of Magic. The other elements are based on sincere feelings, while Magic is more like a form of energy like Heat, Electricity or Light.

 

In Equestria Girls, Sunset Shimmer once used the Element of Magic crown to become a demon, so there is a possibility.
