Shouldn't the theme song get a bit of a makeover?

For four seasons, we've experienced almost the same exact song. My Little Pony, My Little Pony aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.. for about 99 episodes. Why? Shouldn't they change it up after so long of MLP? I think they should make a My Little Pony theme song with a mild increasingly high dubstep.. noise. What's it called? Anyway, after that happens, they record their voice and whisper ''My.. Little.. Pony..'', then they do that aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa from right now, then turn it into a scream, and turn the entire song into a dubstep and rock combined along with a complete, full out screamo. What do you guys think?

I think now would be as good a time as ever. The intro is going to change up anyway because of the new castle and such so they might as well update the theme song along with it considering so many fans have been asking for a change up.

I adore the current theme song. Its iconic to me, but I wouldn't mind a change, simply because I tend to lean towards a  "change just for the sake of change" mindset a lot of the time.

 

I'd love for the Equestria Girls theme to be the show's official theme, or at least something similar with altered lyrics.

I don't know. I mean yes, I think they should change it, but they probably won't. Any show no matter how many seasons doesn't usually change the song. They might change the animation or scenes that go with it according to how the show has changed as we saw with season 4 but changing the actual song? Highly unlikely. I'd love to see that happen though.

All of my experience watching anime is telling me no here, because for some reason when if comes to anime opening music the song they pick for the first season is always the best one

 

I mean, I like the current song. It's cute, I can sing along to it easily, I already know all the words. I don't think a change would be horrible, and I liked the intro theme for EQG a lot, but I have no burning desire to fix what isn't broken

I'm torn on the idea of a new intro. On one hand, the current intro has received only slight modifications over the years and a new intro would feel out of place, or would at least take some getting used to since the intro has been used since the start. On the other hand, it isn't particularly remarkable and most language dubs just have re-dubs of the original intro while Italy and Japan have their own distinct intros that stand out and give their dub some identity. I could go either way on this one, but I am going to assume the only thing that will change for the season 5 intro will be the footage, and that does need to change given the events of the season 4 finale.

I don't think it is necessary. It is unlikely they would change it because most american shows keep the same theme for their entire run, which is fine with me.

 

I would not mind a change in animation however. As though the theme became bigger and better with these next two (likely final) seasons.

While I don't really like the current one, I don't think it's a good idea to change it. After 4 seasons, we're too used to that song.

If I had to choose a new genre, orchestra would be fine, pop too. (dubstep? xD)

They should keep it in the same style, but extend it to about eight minutes long.

 

For the extra length, they should add some new lyrics about how being rainbow powered makes you more popular, and use animation of rainbow powered ponies interspersed with live footage of seven-year-old girls putting on brightly coloured make-up (which is now available from all good toy shops).
