Should Trenderhoof return in season 5?

Pretty random question, I know.  Just been so thirsty for analysis, I had to come up with something.  Should Trenderhoof make a return appearance?

 

I'd like to see him again.  We didn't get much time to find out about him, since he spent most of his time following AJ like a sad puppy.

I wouldnt mind him making a re appearence in season five. Some of us would like to know how hes doing since Rarity re assured him that you shouldnt change for somepony else and try to impress them because too much change is a disaster and ponies question you.

 

Id like to know the result of his writing after the small town shiek event in ponyville and see if it got popular to attract new ponies to ponyville.

LOL!! I don't have a teeth-grinding grudge against him like some people.

 

But I really don't care about him in the least. He was just kind of annoying.

Which was okay for that episode, because that was kind of the idea. But getting to spend time with him and having to hear him talk about his "exotic and exciting life"? I'll pass.

Seriously though, there are other characters I'd rather see back but a cameo would be nice if they could find a reason to bring him up again.

Why not? I actually sort of like Trenderhoof. I'd love for him to come back and not act lovesick. Maybe we'd get some much needed characterization for him, too. That'd be nice.

I didn't really find him that interesting of a character since he seemed to be pretty 'one-note' with his infatuation-even if that was the point of the episode, I don't think he should return and even if he did he would probably just be following Granny Smith around instead this time, if the end of 'Simple Ways' is any indication-essentially making the episode more or less of a 'rehash' just with a different Apple family member.

Personally, I wouldn't be too keen on the idea.

 

To put it as nicely as I can, Trenderhoof just... wasn't a very memorable character for me, at all. I mean, to the point where his name slipped my mind - and I'm usually good at remembering characters.

 

Like others have said, there are other characters that I'd prefer to see brought back rather than him.

Trend was a one shot character.

 

One shots becoming two shots take at least another season but trend was a bit too soon and was basically being used. He wasn't the main focus.

I'd say no. It's better to keep one shot characters in a field where they can be portrayed correctly, Trenderhoof came off as an eccentric guy who has the ego the size of the moon. Frankly, give him more of a personality then we'll see.

He was a horribly boring, one-dimensional character who was just outright creepy and totally negligent to those around him, by showing no concern for Rarity's feelings and shoving her aside to irritate Applejack and, no matter how obvious it was she wanted him gone, he wouldn't go.

 

Seriously, I'm just disappointed AJ didn't kick his jaw in during Simple Ways. I know I wanted to :okiedokielokie:

 

If he comes back and nothing horrible happens to him, I'm going to be THOROUGHLY disappointed in the writing staff. He was an awful pony. Worst pony.

It wasn't very good; kind of struck me as being against what Faust had envisioned the show to be about, honestly. Just a goofy love interest that created a triangle.

 

However, the fact that he blatantly ignored my waifu's fandom over him and treated her like dirt while harassing my 2nd best pony to no end would've irritated me regardless. He was really scummy to the two characters I care about most, and for that, I want to hurt him.

Eh, I don't really have an opinion on him. It would be nice to see a call back to season 4, no matter what it is. He really seemed like a 1 note 1 episode character, him making a return would be good continuity. I'm for it, but not really for an episode entered around him. Background or one liner would be best.
