  1. See! But at least you could get into pubs and such without ID. Not that I condone that behaviour of course!
  2. Meh, I'm okay with looking younger that I am, being youthful is fun!
  3. Don't tempt me! Plus I look younger than you so meh
  4. It's Back! WOOOO! Definitely looking forward to Guns of Icarus, I'm sure our competence as a team will lead us to glorious victory! Also since when did we RP, that will be, interesting.......
  5. Yeah, might as well post on here. I literally only have two photos that are recent that weren't taken at a music festival at 1 am, so here you go! Enjoy?
  6. I'd like to think that I do, however sometimes I can't help myself to certain things. This mainly applies to food though and not much else. I believe that I can control my temper very well and I am inclined to reserve judgement of somebody until I get to know them better. I genuinely feel I'm a pretty patient person. Especially so when it comes to buying things, I don't often buy on impulse.
  7. I usually end up saying "It'll be fine" a lot being the optimist I am. Even when it's really obvious that it won't actually be "fine" I still say it anyway just to reassure myself. I've also recently been saying "avante!" a fair bit.
  8. This topic seems to be related to a television series, therefore I have decided to move it over to the Media Discussion section.
  9. No need to feel bad, It's an easy thing to do! That's what we're here to do is to help and make sure threads get placed in the right areas Anyway, before we go off topic I think it's pretty normal to feel an immediately sense of liking towards someone if they have similar interests to you. I think it may be emphasised a little as well seeing as you're less likely to find a brony compared to other interests.
  10. This thread appears to be related to the My Little Pony franchise and/or the Bronydom in general. Thus, it has been sentenced to Sugarcube Corner. This is an automatically generated message, by the way.

    HI!

Hello and welcome to MLP Forums! We hope you enjoy your stay here! It's always good to see someone join and get active immediately.

  13. Definitely going to have to go with the Roman Centurions, out of all of those types of soldiers the Romans were by far the most successful. The Roman armies were a huge machine that just battered their opponents and especially with the Marius reforms the legions were almost unstoppable. As for the whole discussion on the Knight vs Samurai, while individually skilled warriors the Samurai weren't particularly good against armies. Also western Knights and especially those from Medieval England/Europe were incredibly effective not only as individuals but in groups. Source: Playing a lot of Total War games
  14. I wouldn't mind being immortal in the sense of never ageing, but I expect to die if it were of other causes. Although the concept of living through all of your friends and families deaths, you would also have the chance to watch your family grow, along with making new friends and depending on your beliefs, new families. You also get to experience all manner of new things, new technologies and new activities. You'd never run out of them as they are ever changing and evolving.

This is the main reason that I skipped University, asides from having little interest in further education. Had I have gone to Bedfordshire it would have been a 3 year course for around £9,000 a year, totally up to a £27,000 (around $41,000) debt after the three years. That isn't even including living costs! We have a system in the UK means you don't have to start paying back until you're earning a certain amount, but some students are not paying off their loans until they're in their 40's! It's pretty ridiculous, I can't understand how University used to be free. I'm very happy and fortunate to be in a stable job I enjoy, but many of my friends will be in the above situation.

  17. For those 1 or 2 Football fans, GO ON CHELSEA :D

The thing about Arsenal is they always try and walk it in.

  18. Asides from being outright disgusted by it? Shocked, horrified and embarrassed by the fandom. The fact that there are people in the community who are willing to go to such extreme lengths to voice and opinion is absurd. Sure, not all of us aren't enthralled by Equestria Girls but who cares? In fact the people that did this do not even have the right anymore to be a part of the community and deserve to be shunned by everybody. The reaction to EG has been questionable at least but this is just ridiculous. I just hope those effected by this are not too hurt and that we as a fandom don't receive a backlash from this.
  19. I go to my local paintball arena fairly often but I have yet to buy any of my own equipment except for a pair of gloves and my own face mask. Good markers can be quite expensive and I wouldn't recommend that you buy one unless you are regularly taking part. As Dawn said it would be best if you talked to the stewards at your paintball centre first about equipment as the gear they provide is often good enough to use. My arena even provides upgrades for a small amount of money, although I'm not sure if every place does this. If you can, I would recommend that you get a set of gloves as some places don't seem to provide them for you. Believe me when I say there is little worse than being shot in the hand on a very cold day. They're normally pretty cheap and you might even be able to buy them from your centre.
  20. Just decided, the Patriots in Bioshock Infinite sound like Space Marines.....yup

  21. The Derpy issue itself is over a year old now, I think we're all past that. As for the issue on death threats themselves, well you cannot blame the fandom for them. It's an individual choice to make those threats against somebody else, it's a fallacy to say that the Brony fandom are the cause of those threats. Also are we still going with the whole "this fandom used to be....". You'll always get morons who do stupid things like this, regardless of the fandom and how long that fandom has been in existence. It's a problem with certain individuals, not bronies in general.
  22. Key Gear, DawnRider and Akita-Ken. Purely so that I at least have some entertainment while fighting off the zombie horde. They really do make me laugh. I suppose because of the variety of explanations that manage to fathom such an example of said woodchuck chucking said wood.
  23. When I first heard the news that Disney had given the Star Wars license to EA to make core games, my first reaction was "OH NO WAY!" However, after calming down and doing my weekly bashing of EA I realised that actually, it's not as bad as people are making it out to be. Now I'm not one to defend EA, their recent DRM antics and a few unnecessary quotes from some of their higher staff members have been very silly and quite anti-consumer. This is something we saw a lot of during the Sim City launch. However we know that EA themselves will not be making the games, one of their development studios will have that duty. One of the games that I (along with most gamers I feel) have been waiting for is Battlefront 3. Surely this would be a fantastic opportunity for DICE? Say what you want about the constant DLC's the game itself is a pretty solid shooter and a lot of fun. Bad Company 2 was also a great game. I personally would like to see them have a go at Battlefront 3, even if they use another developer to create the single player and space combat aspect. Also, Star Wars 1313 was supposed to be a third person action game. Bioware seem to be the prime development studio for something like that. Mass Effect was brilliant story-wise with solid combat. Again, I'd love to see Bioware have a go at this, if they keep their good character development and a universe to explore then don't know another developer would do a better job! They also have some good experience with Star Wars already. LucasArts haven't produced much good content for a long time, so perhaps a third party working on Star Wars titles. Yes EA have made some pretty abysmal business decisions recently but I'm not sure they can do much worse and after a fall in profit this year they'll be looking to regain some consumer confidence anyway. What better way to do that that release some fantastic Star Wars title. If they give DICE the chance to make Battlefront 3, I'll buy the game now!
