  1. The have trains, as well as flying contraptions like hot air balloons and blimps (as seen in Apple Family Reunion). Did we ever see how the floats in One Bad Apple were powered? Also, water skis are canon as of Spike at your service, so I wonder how they use those...
  2. Okay, you are correct there. I was wrong in how exactly it happened. In that case, let me revise my statement. "Seriously, to blame Fluttershy for almost trampling the ducks when it was Gilda bumping into her and scaring her that made her back up into them is ridiculous." The point still stands that Gilda was rude in bumping Fluttershy, and it was because of that that Fluttershy almost hit the ducks. You say Fluttershy was being careless, however the opposite is true. Fluttershy was very focused on keeping the ducks safe. However, when Gilda bumped her, all that focus was shattered because she was overtaken by the fear of this big and unknown creature behind her yelling at her. Fluttershy is afraid of her own shadow, and you expect her not to lose her train of thought and try to back away when a big griffon in standing right in front of her yelling at her. Also, Fluttershy getting mad at the dragon was a completely different situation then this. In that case, she got mad because this dragon had hurt her closest friends who are basically her family. In Gilda's case, she gets mad because an innocent pony accidentally bumped into her, an incident which Gilda herself could've very easily prevented. They're two completely different situations.
  3. Scootaloo has a wing deformity which makes her unable to fly. Sweetie Belle lives with her parents. We see her house in One Bad Apple, which her dad fishing outside of it.
  4. First of all, I like to think of bronies as a gender-neutral term. I think you can be included as a brony, whether female or male. I see no need to separate between bronies or pegasisters or whatever you wanna call them. To me, a brony is just someone who considers themself a brony. It doesn't matter how much of the show they've watched, how many t-shirts they have, how open about it they are, or even their age or gender, anyone can be a brony, but only if they wish to be considered one.
  5. All the ignorant people in the world just need to watch My Little Pony instead of FOX News. I think we could all learn a little something about the friendship of magic.
  6. - Fav mane six: Pinkie Pie (though it changes a lot) - Fav background pony: Octavia - Fav CMC: Sweetie Belle - Fav princess: Celestia - Fav location: Cloudsdale - Fav episode: S1 Winter Wrap Up, S2 Dragon Quest, S3 Magic Duel - Fav song: Becoming Popular - Fav season: S2
  7. I think it could make for an excellent episode. I really hope they can pull it off right, I believe in them. I'm just not sure if they can do it completely with no major holes in a 22 minute show...
  8. I'm in total confusion over your post, and cracking up over the replies. What. What. What...? This is the first post I've read in 2013...
  9. At first I read this as "it was amazing with some of the based gods," and I thought "huh, didn't know Pinkie was a Lil B fan..." These are just so much fun!
  10. At first I voted Shining Armor, but then I realized that Fancy Pants is the spiffy motherpony in all of Equestria, so I changed my vote.
  11. Well let's see... Season 1's musical highlight's for me were Winter Wrap Up, Art of the Dress, and At the Gala. Season 3 has had good songs so far, but the only GREAT song was Bad Seed. Season 2 on the other hand, just blew me away! I love almost every single song from this season, and could listen to them over and over again! Find a Pet, Becoming Popular, Flim Flam Brothers, Perfect Stallion, Smile Song, BBBFF, This Day Aria, and Love is in Bloom were all amazing songs! Season 2 just took it far above and beyond from anything I've ever seen in a show for kids, so that's why it hands down gets my vote.
  12. I'm really confused on what you're saying here... You summarized the whole episode, but can you explain better what your actual point of all that was? Seriously, you're blaming Fluttershy for the duck incident? She's doing her best to try and clear the way for the ducks so the DON'T get trampled by traffic. If she's walking in front of them, carefully keeping them in line, any sensible or polite person would've just walked around her. Seriously, to blame Fluttershy for almost trampling them when it was GILDA'S ROAR that made her back up into them is ridiculous. I think you're stretching quite a bit here to defend some of Gilda's actions... Whoa whoa whoa, where did that some from? Why are we suddenly comparing Pinkie to Discords species? You totally lost me there... I recommend trying to summarizing everything you just said in that massive wall of text into just your main points so it's a little easier to understand.
  13. I did Apple Family Reunion! This is what I'm doing with my time instead of finishing up all my homework that's due in a few days...
  14. shed.mov But honestly, I would start them from the very beginning. There's so much character building and development in the first two episodes, that you really need to see them before you can fully appreciate anything else.
  15. I got several packs of trading cards, a Rainbow Dash shirt and a Fluttershy figurine from my sister, and I bought a Friendship Express for my little cousins who I've gotten interested into the show! And I gifted to myself one of the "Cloudsdale set" on figurines with RD, Gilda, and the Wonderbolt Surprise.
  16. Well when you're a creature that feeds off love, you're rarely going to be viewed as a friend by others outside your own species. I don't think the Changlings are explicitly evil, nor do I believe the ponies were wrong for defending themselves. The Changelings were simply doing what their nature and what their Queen tells them, and the ponies were just defending themselves, their friends, and their home. However, I do wonder if there are any Changlings who wish they didn't have to feed off love, and that they could get along with the other ponies. They've been shown to have at least some sense of recognition for pony emotions and actions, such as when one was showing off its powers of transformation for Pinkie in the big battle.
  17. 1. It's explained in Baby Cakes that pegasi and unicorn traits can stretch back several generations. 2. She has a deformity 3. Zecora lives there, and I think most of the Mane 6 have learned that as long as they're careful there isn't too much to fear. 4. For Applejack I might guess Braeburn? 5. I kinda doubt it, it'd crush all their personal belonging, kitchen, etc. 6. I'm guessing 2-3. 7. They're probably hard to exterminate or something, and they don't want them spreading to other fields, so it's easier to just leave them there. 8. I think they're about the same age...
  18. First of all, I don't believe we actually know that everything was peaceful before Nightmare Moon. It's an interesting theory, and usually I'm the one overthinking things, but this time I really think you're looking into this a little too much...
  19. Interesting topic! I had not thought about those "bat ponies" you mentioned before! I'll have to go back and look at them! A possibility for Sombra, he could be a normal unicorn, but after being trapped in a non-pony form for so long, he's lost some of the original characteristics (a la Voldemort). His body could've also changed because of his dark magic.
  20. Spike was wrong with this episode. The rest of the Mane 6 were spot on in character, but Spike was just a bumbling mess who screwed up simple tasks that we've seen him complete with ease before (cooking, cleaning, etc), but then can stack a perfect tower of odd shaped rocks. The Dragon Code came out of nowhere and contradicted previous episodes where he'd had his life saved. There were lots of smaller details that were good parts of this episode, but Spike, the main focus of the episode, failed for me.
  21. As the fandom grows, you'll get more and more varying opinions and views on the show, video game, or whatever it is. My Little Pony is no exception. Personally, one of the things I love about this fandom is that you can get into such intense debates about minor details in a show meant for little kids, when you're probably all overthinking it anyways. It's fun to try and delve deeper than even what the creators were thinking and decipher it. Besides, if you don't like the arguments, it's really not too hard to ignore them.
  22. I liked Over a Barrel... Could you explain why you think it's awful? See my above post... The message was not supposed to speak against critical thinking and reason, it's just been misunderstood. Also: http://mlpforums.com/topic/41798-this-episode-is-terriblewhy-it-isnt-2-feeling-pinkie-keen/
  23. I think it's good that they're experimenting with different elements and animation styles to add into the show, but this seemed a bit too out of place for my taste. It was interesting to see, but I'd rather they not try it again.
  24. The message at the end of Feeling Pinkie Keen was kind of jumbled and vague and could be interpreted (by myself as well originally) as supporting faith-based religions. This is Lauren Faust trying to clarify:
  25. Princess Celestia is an Alicorn. Alicorns have both pagasi wings and unicorn horns and magic. Celestia, Luna, and Cadence are all Alicorns.
