They really did go out of their way to exclude any Disney references, with only the mouse ears on the Keyblade

I seen a comment saying that the final character should have been Sakurai himself. Not gonna lie, that would have been kinda cool. Like this full on meta thing that basically celebrates him before he retires because he seems to be preparing for that. Obviously it would have been weird but also kinda heart warming.

The original premise for Newbie Dash
SpoilerThe episode was actually supposed to be about RD actually getting into the WB, and her learning what it means to be a WB. In the original plan RD was called up not to be a WB(yet) but to see the tasks the Reserves will have for this. Instead of flying with the WBs, she was originally planned for crowd control(which embarrasses her). The impressions scene is still there, as she's hoping to get to fly with the WBs, but fails. During the show, RD avoids being around her friends out of embarrassment, and admits she's not flying, just doing crowd control. In an attempt to raise RD's spirits, Scootaloo decides to cheer from the highest bleachers, but loses her balances and falls off. RD sees this and rushes in as fast as she can to save her, causing a Sonic Rainboom( instinctively performing impressive maneuvers in the process without knowing) and actually ruining the show. She saved Scootaloo, but now she thinks she's gonna be kicked out, but this was actually enough to impress the Wonderbolts, and the episode ends with her getting in(and Spitfire pulling a Spitfire and has RD getting her ointment for her hooves, which she's proud of)
I really wish I didn't find out about this. To say I'm livid with this is an understatement. This actually sounds like it could have been amazing.
On the bright side, I now have a version of the episode I consider the canon one now

Spoiler
Most people I have talked to about "Newbie Dash" (usually split down the middle of people loving or hating it) mostly had a problem because they thought the Wonderbolts were jerks and that RD was being "cringy" and not funny. So these are the two big issues that make the episode, to a lot of people, bad.
That original plot idea sounds extremely boring. There's nothing new or interesting about it. Newbie Dash actually explores a moral that I find believable within Rainbow's arch. I also have a defense for wonderbolts seeming like jerks (them seeming like jerks is nothing new, being a small point) and also find the humor in the episode to be rather spot on and not cringy, but that is personal taste at that point.

Spoiler
This version of Newbie Dash is one-hundred-percent better. Yeah, it might not have been interesting, but it did a few things way better than the final product.
- There’s no Rainbow Dash torture porn and especially no “Rainbow Crash” taunt that haunted her throughout the episode.
- The impersonations make better sense. In the original premise, Rainbow Dash changes personas on her own volition, not from taking bad advice from Rarity and a Twilight literally.
- In the final product, Dash asks Scoot to help her take part in a really reckless stunt, a very out-of-character action. That doesn’t happen here.
- The lesson idea in the original premise is a lot better sound. Rather than suggesting that one should just brush off hazing because it’s part of the culture, they’re proud of her for doing the right thing even if it’s against code.
This idea still has some of the persistent problems of WB episodes at the time. The WB are still unlikeable; that “fitting in” culture from the final is there. The impersonation joke goes too far. And in this one, the lesson idea is there, bout the lesson in itself should be clearer, though that could’ve been ironed out.

While I don't legitimately hate ND, the premise itself definitely indicates a far more substantial and atmospheric (particularly the way that Dave Rapp's initial treatment dedicates time to building the scale of the event, whereas the climax of the finished episode kind of just happens due to its significantly smaller scale and lack of tension) plot against the sloppiness of the episode proper, which is aided by the episode's more unique use of character and location to build a more fully fleshed-out story (whereas the final ND focuses on slamming down Dash at the detriment of everything else (particularly the reactions of the other M6, which are simply kind of glossed over hastily), which always gave the episode an uncomfortable air of being semi-unfinished to me).

In this status update, post things you never expected characters to be into
Like Yoga Dash
What I love most about it is that, while Pony RD would probably be too embarrassed to admit it, EQG RD fully embraces it

Remember the weird colored purple ketchup, or the green ketchup that was used to promote Shrek

Okay, lets settle this, which movie was worse:
Attack of the Clones or Rise of Skywalker?
- Show previous comments 4 more

Riss of Skywalker. While Attack of the Clones has terrible writing and some horrible acting, it at least had a story that was going somewhere, it still had some kind of purpose in its trilogy.
Rise of Skywalker was peak Disney. The end of a terrible trilogy that had no idea what it was doing, because Disney doesnt care. It wasted every opportunity it had and brought back Palpatine to exploit nostalgia and because they didn't know what else to do. Not to mention Rey was a Mary Sue incarnate. Oh yeah, let's also not forget the exploitive constant fake deaths that had no impact. It hits all the checklist points for being a soulless cash grab.

The fact that the error could occur is just down to how caching work, until we know just how the caching mismatch was triggered has yet to be confirmed, until it is, I'd say it's far too early to be blaming Valve.
Sure, they could have acted sooner, but websites generally don't have a button to press that takes it offline, and I don't know how long it was before they had the information to judge the taking down of the website as being necessary- it's hardly surp...

Lets be honest, Cloud's infamous "emo and brooding" reputation only exists because of nearly every appearance of his outside FF7 itself

@Nuke
Yeah, most of the blame falls on Advent Children, though I'd also say it was also Kingdom Hearts. In the original game, he was cocky, battle-hardened, and a bit of a smart-ass. He has his emo moments late in the game, but considering what he was going through at that point, it was actually understandable

@Sparklefan1234 Lauren never said that was her goal for Twilight, to take over Celestia's place, as far as I can remember. That felt very forced and abrupt to me. I don't think Rainbow Dash helping the mane 6 to get their cutie Mark's caused Twilight to take over for Celestia necessarily. Honestly, I don't exactly like the direction the show went after Season 8ish, but oh well, it is what is. Might as well enjoy it.
And if you want to talk about a pony who thinks they are the better than everyone else, more than Dash, look at Trixie. She is worse.
All of the Mane 6 have flaws, but it is what makes them relatable and understandable. AJ can be too blunt sometimes, Rarity can be a drama queen sometimes, Twilight may freak out and be socially awkward at times, Fluttershy can be a doormat sometimes, Pinkie Pie is too happy and crazy at times, and Rainbow Dash can be think too highly of herself at times.
That's why this is my favorite song from the show:
Again, I am not saying you are wrong for having the opinion that you do, but I do want to at least show you the other side of the coin, and hopefully you might take it into consideration.
I still like you and you're awesome!

SpoilerRD reveals from the beginning to the cheerleading team that she doesn't like Cheerleading or wants to be coach, and wants to coach the main team instead. Instead of RD half assing her job or skirting responsibility, most of the episode would have been spent on the cheerleaders trying to get her to like it and reminding her that they're as much as part of the buckball team as the sports team. At one point RD decides to train them like the main buckball team. They eventually challenge the Buckball team and get their butts whooped. Instead of shitting on the cheerleading team, she decides she's just not cut for the job and steps down, letting Snips handle it even though he's not good at it. Even with the practice full of repeated botched moves, they're enjoying themselves, and RD becomes impressed with how much athleticism it requires, eventually deciding to coach them again. Then during their first game they actually amaze the crowd and the SoF are inspired enough to win

The moral wasn't "cheerleading is great", I believe it's that "they're just as much as part of the buckball team as they are"
Honestly, even if its original premise episode was doomed to fail reading this and what we got, it just felt like they actively wanted to push the worst possible episode out instead
-
I mean I don't think that's a moral as it can't be applied things outside of buckball. Also I don't think RD needed to learn that, like it doesn't develop her character other than yea cheerleading is a part of the buckball team.
Also it doesn't seem like Dash was failing on this "moral" beforehand. Need something that will develop her character as opposed to just, "sleeping on a silk pillow is better than cotton."
The final episode, though down executed horribly and also destroys RD's character and her continuity, actually has a moral that can be applied to a number of things.

@Misscellanio I'm not too familiar with Hailee Steinfeld, but I'm generally hit and miss when it comes to human characters in Transformers, and I was really surprised at how much I liked her character.. The ending with both her saying goodbye to Bumblebee and her finally fixing the car she was working on in the beginning actually got me
QuoteIt's the best Transformers movie by default, but it's also a really solid family flick.
While I agree that it's the best Transformers movie, I think a case could be made for the 86 movie
