  1. I'd be an eccentric billionaire and travel the world in a blimp. Mind you, not just any blimp- no Goodyear mediocrity here, kiddo! I'm talking about the most tricked-out airship you can imagine; kitchen, bath, bedroom, personal library, the whole bit. It'll even be steered by one of those old-fashioned wheels that you see on ships. My engineer, Smitty, will wear an eyepatch and always tell me how "the old girl" (meaning the blimp/zeppelin/airship) can tackle anything thrown at her. There will be a scientist named Gustav, and his sister Lois will be the cook. Fiona is the witch; an actual, real, honest-to-goodness witch, with potions and spell books and all, and she looks exactly like Neko Case. Rounding out the crew is the orphan boy/pickpocket Pip. And together, we'd journey the world on our endless quest against crime and injustice. So basically, we're like Knight Rider, only no leather jacket, and an airship instead of a car. Now honestly, am I asking for too much?
  2. I procrastinate a lot. I can be really impatient when it comes to work. I'm extremely conflict-avoidant. I'm also terrified of being around people, despite the fact that I love being around people. Good luck figuring that out!
  3. Yeah, I know, it just really blindsided me. I guess I just never thought of the '70s as terribly long ago. Hearing the '80s referred to as "oldies" is even more jarring, since I remember that (well, the late '80s anyways.). I'm really gonna lose it when I see Nirvana called "oldies" for the first time.
  4. Wait, '50s-'70s are now considered "oldies"?!? I thought this was gonna be about Glenn Miller or Count Basie or something! I must be really out of the loop!
  5. I'll be 31 this March, but I honestly don't feel any different than when I was 21. Here's hoping things stay that way! But I've been told I act like a retiree, so go figure.
  6. I was more banned from certain channels (MTV). But I do remember that my parents couldn't stand You Can't Do That on Television. I'm not fully sure why.
  7. 1. Applejack can't bluff, Fluttershy would feel bad about beating other ponies, Pinkie Pie would be too distracted, Rainbow Dash's ego would undo her, and Twilight would fall for a bluff. Rarity's the best choice because she can get in somepony's head (see "A Dog and Pony Show"). 2. Rainbow Dash does have a kinda short fuse... but I still heart her. 3. That's a bit odd to think of, but Applejack just seems to make more sense for that. I really can't explain why. 4. Twilight missing her brother so much leads me to believe that she'd be the most likely to move back to her family (either her parents or her brother.) 5. "Green Isn't Your Color". 6. That's really morbid! I kid, I kid. But Pinkie just seems like she'd do something very irrational. Like, break the fourth wall, enter into our world, and have Judge Doom put her in The Dip. Aaaaaand I just realized that I picked a different pony for every answer. Is that supposed to happen?
  8. .Band: Wire .singer: Tori Amos .type of music: anything not boring .album: Laughing Stock by Talk Talk .song: "Heroes" by David Bowie .quote from a singer: "I walked into your dream, and now I've forgotten how to dream my own dream"
  9. Yeah, Littlefoot's mom dying was pretty bad, but Artax's death was more creepy than sad for me. Watership Down is just pure nightmare fuel. Oh crap, now I'm being bombarded by all the feels in existence.
  10. Hello Lyra! So what do ponies in Equestria think of humans? Are we seen as cute? Scary? What do ponies know about human history? Also, am I the only one that thinks Trixie really needs a hug?
  11. -I'm planning on going to a cabin in Vermont on the Wednesday before, spending an extra long weekend there. Should be fun! -I don't know... does the above count? I guess a picnic would be my next choice. I'm kinda sappy and stupid like that. -I'm not sure if I really have a "dream date" at all. Pretty much all she has to do is show up. -Yikes, I don't know if I can talk about her and make it quick! She's short, she snorts when she laughs, she's a black belt, she says "Jeez Louise" a lot (no kidding, she never curses), she's from Iowa, she keeps joking that Rarity's actually Cary Grant's daughter, she looks at me funny whenever I say "taylor ham", she cooks so well that I actually eat the vegetables, she bites her lower lip a lot of the time, she tries to get on my nerves by saying she likes Reggie Miller, she seriously thought I was just pulling her leg when I tried to explain who the Sex Pistols were, and she has amazing red hair. Oh, yeah, she also saved my life. Nearly forgot that.
  12. My niece watched it a bit, so I really didn't have a choice. At first, I was just relieved that it wasn't Doc McStuffins again (that show is like every fever-nightmare I've ever had.). But with every twitch of Pinkie's tail, I became more enraptured. Three episodes in, I was hooked! And my fandom did ring from every mountainside!
  13. Actually, I've been thinking about it, and I think they may do it, but only as part of a cliffhanger. Or they could always play the Dallas gambit: "It was all a dream." Either way, I have a feeling that it wouldn't be permanent.
  14. It wouldn't make me stop watching the show, by any means. But doesn't the idea of forcing one of your main characters to change who they are send out an awful message?
  15. Fact: Sir Isaac Newton invented matches.
  16. It goes like this: "next Tuesday" Twilight has to travel back to see "original" Twilight, otherwise "original" Twilight can never become "next Tuesday" Twilight. If Twilight never travels back to see herself, she'll never set off the chain of events that causes her to find and use the time travel spell. If she had instead not gone back to try and warn herself, she would never have done all the things that caused her to be in the Starswirl the Bearded wing of the archives. I could also say that when Twilight travels back in time, she actually ceases to exist and is replaced by a duplicate of herself that continues on from there. But that's less like My Little Pony and more like Primer, so forget I said that. What I always wondered is why she couldn't just have somepony else go back for her. Oh! And also: Twilight has ice cream in her house? I can't remember seeing a freezer in her house. In fact, I can't see any electrical at all! What gives?
  17. I eat a lot of cereal because it's impossible to get bored of. Other than that, it's anything spicy. As in unmercifully spicy. If it can't take the paint off the walls, it wasn't spicy enough. I also drink tea, milk, juice, or water.
  18. Welcome! I'm sure you'll like it here, so relax and have a good time. Everyone is so nice here, it's like a big happiness party! So where are you from?
  19. Or perhaps Rainbow Dash's and Fluttershy's parents live somewhere other than Cloudsdale? Maybe Cloudsdale has something like a boarding school, perhaps?
  20. Ponybusters! Rainbow Dash as Venkman (Bill Murray) Twilight Sparkle as Ray (Dan Aykroyd) Fluttershy as Egon (Harold Ramis) Applejack as Winston (Ernie Hudson) Rarity as Dana (Sigourney Weaver) Pinkie Pie as Louis (Rick Moranis) Spike as the secretary (Annie Potts, I think) Trixie as Mr. Peck AKA "that annoying guy that ruins everything" (don't know his name... he was also in Real Genius) Discord as Gozer Ursa Major as the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man Derpy as Slimer
  21. Welcome, welcome! It really is wonderful here; everyone deserves a hug!
  22. Am I the only one that wants Pinkie's polka march in MP3? It might work on my niece and nephew, right? But I always wondered, if Twilight could use a spell to make the parasprites stop eating the food, couldn't she just use a spell to make them stop eating altogether?
  23. Hello! I'm new here too! And I don't think I know what I'm doing! But anyway, hi! (Also, you're definitely not nuts.)
  24. I could literally go into the thousands with this! So I'll try to limit to one album per artist. In no order: And would ya look at that, I went over 20! And I'll probably think of others that should be on there!
  25. I did read A Tale of Two Cities a while ago; I just finished reading The Pale King by David Foster Wallace. And marshmallows and chocolate are two of the four food groups, right?
