1. This certainly has been a surprisingly good premiere, it provide the show with an over-arching story, and made clear that Twilight has been given no real practical perks from her alicorn transformation outside her now being able to fly. That's obvious that the cast and crew are really upping their game on this show! I just wish the premiere did more to cement the things Meghan McCarthy said were going to happen, like didn't McCarthy say that Twilight was still gonna live in Ponyville? oh well, I guess I'm not bothered with that not being shown in the premiere, if only because at the start, the first part did state that Twilight will make time to be with her friends as frequently as possible, and maybe in a later episode we'll see Twilight going back to living in Ponyville. And the premiere must be doing something right when literally the only this; Who's supposed to be watching the Golden Oaks Library if Twilight's working in Canterlot? The show already revealed there was no one running the library in her place, and apparently Twilight forgot to lock the door cosndiering her friends seemed to have been able to just go right in, and they even apologized for going in without her permission. I don't know, but even then, if and when the show cements the Twilight-still-living-in-Ponyville thing Twilight will likely move right back in the library. Also, speaking as someone who at first disliked Discord in the Return to Harmony two-parter, but softened up to him when he returned in Keep Calm and Flutter On. I have to say, I actually enjoyed his appearance in the season 4 premiere, he was very funny and he subtly made clear that he genuinely has been reformed, if still into annoying others. But bottom, great premiere, looking forward to the next episode with genuine optimism!

gaming Fallout 4

This will probably be the only next-gen game I'll be looking forward to playing thus far. I just hope Bethesda learns from the feedback they got from Fallouts 3 and New Vegas. 'Cause one way I can imagine Fallout 4 becoming basically perfect is if they combine Fallout 3's depressive and bleak atmosphere, more widely open world, and the huger scale with New Vegas' refined and balanced combat and the addition of Hardcore Mode.
3. Yeah, the skirt-thing is weird, but to be fair, Hasbro wanted to use this movie to advertise for their toys. In fact, making toys from their TV shows is something they've been doing since the 1980's, and they've been doing well because of that, so you can't really blame them for sticking to what they know. They're not like Saban Entertainment with Power Rangers, where they can just mostly take whatever appears in the Sentai footage they adapt, make a toy out of it, and wait patiently as either grade-school aged newcomers or 20-something long-time fans empty shelves faster than you can say; "It's Morphin Time!"
4. I think there's more evidence to suggest this might be a flashback, notice the background on this pic? it looks like the scene takes place in the same castle ruins where the mane 6 fought Nightmare Moon with the Elements of Harmony. Seems abit beyond coincidence, no?
5. Why do I somehow get the impression from these screenshots that the Season 4 premiere plans on deconstructing the suddenness of Twilight's coronation? Think about it, Celestia and Luna go missing, the kingdom suddenly is faced with a serious supernatural crisis, and Twilight ends up the only active political figure around to help keep order. This would be a truly great way to put Twilight's leadership skills to the ultimate test; having to balance solving a crisis while assuring the citizenry that they can put their faith and trust in her. And by the end, she either succeeds, or becomes overwhelmed with the sudden large and complicated amount of responsibility that was suddenly brought upon her, and end up crashing and burning under the pressure. Anyone else think that this might make a great way to start the season premiere?
6. Okay, speaking as someone who's been watching episodes of Mighty Morphin for months, and just got up to the third season, there's a question I have for those of you on Escapist that did watch Power Rangers. What Power rangers show did you like most? I've taken up re-watching Power Rangers on Netflix mainly so I can properly catch up, since despite the fact I loved Power Rangers growing up, I could hardly remember much of it. Though it probubly didn't help matters that the first show (I.E, Mighty Morphin) came out when I was 2. but as a kid, I did somewhat remember liking Lost Galaxy the most, I guess that show stuck out in my head the most because it was the first time I've seen essential members of the show's cast killed off (Scorpius, Magna Defender, etc). Also, it was the first Power Rangers show, or the first of any show for that matter, that got me hooked mainly because of the villain, Trakeena, I thought she was interesting and I found her genuinely sympathetic, I think I even shed tears when I saw her with her last moments with her dad, Scorpius. And I was an 8 year old boy when I saw this!
7. All Discord did in that brief scene was state that he needs more popcorn, that could mean anything. Saying that scene is an indicator that Discord is gonna be evil again is like saying Bowser from the Mario franchise is plotting something dastardly just because you saw him order a pizza.
8. McCarthy already said as much on her Twitter, this merely cements already confirmed infomation. And I don't see the problem with keeping most of the intro, almost all the different Power Rangers shows use the same intro and theme music, only slightly changing the intro when something major has changed such as a new Ranger entering the team, or a new actor replacing someone, and I never heard anyone complain when one of the incarnations of Power Rangers uses the same theme music throughout the show, heck, I've been watching Mighty Morphin on Netflix for months and have just gotten up to the third season, and I never complained about the intro and theme music. And even if you're tired of the intro, you can simply fast forward to the episode if you're watching on Netflix or Youtube, and if you're watching on regular TV, you can simply mute your TV and close your eyes for 10 seconds or however long the MLP intro is.
9. Even before Twilight became a princess, the citizens of Ponyville already seemed to turn to her, as well as her friends, for most of their problems, and I don't think Mayor Mare already does much of anything outside making public announcements or maybe some mundane political actions we never see because she rarely has much relevance to the story. It's like how (shockingly) the city of Angel Grove from Power Rangers has police and military, yet it's the Power Rangers that save the city from evil on what is practically a daily basis, the police and military are still here, they're just greatly overshadowed by people who are, for unique reasons, far more capable. So bottom line; the things Twilight usually does in Ponyville actually don't change that much from her being a princess, if anything, it probably merely makes what she does have more official light to it, if you catch my drift.
10. You're, again, either forgetting, or blatantly ignoring the fact that MLP:FiM is first and foremost a kids show, it's not meant to be taken this seriously nor is it meant to be 'interpreted' in such needlessly complicated ways. your idea of Celestia being some manipulative villain will never happen in the show's canon 'cause one of the things even most kids would call fowl on is inconsistency. And that's cause if characters are suddenly derailed or made unlikeable, especially if the reasons for it are never explained, it will confuse children and make them lose interest in the story. Which is why Celestia never has been and never will be an actual villain, tyrant, or any of the sort. 'cause both the show and comics portrayed her as a genuinely wise and benevolent, if slightly eccentric, co-ruler of a nation. And whatever nitpicks some 'fans' give out as filmsy excuses to pretend she's a villain are not gonna change how she's portrayed in the show in any way.
11. What is up with some message boards and limiting the length of topic titles? but I digress. Okay, I kept hearing only good things about one of the Wii U's first games, Nintendo Land, which was a game set in a Nintendo-themed amusement park where you played the mini-games based on Nintendo's various game franchises. And whether you consider the game good or not, I think this does obviously raise an interesting idea; what if Nintendo decided to build a real life theme park based on the games and characters they created? What kind of rides or attractions do you think you'd like to see? Here are afew things I have in mind; 1) F-Zero G-Force One thing I have in mind is placed an F-Zero themed motion simulator, which, if done correctly, could give out a very close simulation on what it would be like to ride in an F-Zero racer, from the super-high speed to the intense turns and maneuvers, making such a ride I think might be difficult, but not impossible. 2) Metroid: Wrath of Ridley The ride will consist of 4 different colored 1-seated pod, And each pod will have one mounted light cannon of the same color as the pod that the rider will be manning These pods would ride sideways in a circular track, constantly facing a huge animatronic Ridley, who throughout the ride would be seen constantly either turning, moving his arms, flapping his wings, and opening his mouth and projecting an orange light to pretend he's shooting fire blasts. The objective involved in the ride is to aim your light cannon and fire at Ridley as many times as you can until the ride is over. The ride could go on for around 3 minutes until the Ridley animatronic gives a dying shriek to declare he has been defeated. When the ride ends, Samus Aran will be heard from a pre-recording on a loudspeaker, she will congratulate the riders for defeating Ridley, declaring them honorary bounty hunters and that she will 'See you next mission'.
12. *sigh* I've brought this up before and I will bring this up again, Meghan McCarthy herself stated that Twilight ISN'T going to outlive her friends. Also no canon sources have given anything to indicate Celestia training an heir or even needing one, if Twilight will be given any royal duties at all, the most logical thing it would be is that she'd likely be helping to govern and protect Equestria alongside her friends and the other Alicorn Princesses.
13. For those that didn't know this, I like KND, it's a really good show with a great cast of characters, great writing, high quality voice-acting, and really good artwork. But the show's so-called conclusion, OP:INTERVIEWS, was an exception to this. Personally, I hated the ending, most of what we thrown in felt like it was slap-dashed, it give out more plotholes than it fills, the live-action scenes with the adult Sector V Ops seemed out of place, and the overall plot of the episode though concluded the show, did so in an arbitrary fashion even by KND standards (a scavenger hunt, seriously?). And given I thought KND was decently well-writen, I am, even today, not convinced that Mr. Warburton couldn't do a better job at wrapping up the plot. Granted, I learned that Warburton himself apparently found the part where Nigel said goodbye to his friends and family before leaving for the Galactic KND. But even after several years I still can't get why, that moment was one of the most contrived attempts at a tearjerker moment I've ever seen. And I personally completely refused to consider OP: INTERVIEWS canon to the KND storyline, immature of me? maybe, but I've so far been happier for it. Am I the only person that feels that way about Operation: Interviews? Chowder was lesser well-written cartoon than KND was, yet I thought it had a better conclusion than KND did with OP:INTERVIEWS.
14. I think we should send this to McCarthy and convince her to verify this document, at least to confirm whether or not this is a leak or a hoax. though if it is a leak, what's up with this one episode stating Scootaloo has smaller-than-normal wings? every other pegasi filly and colt I've seen in this show (aside from possibly Featherweight) seem to have equally-sized wings.
15. Say Spike, what was it like living with Princess Celestia and Twilight back in Canterlot Castle?
16. Well, oddly enough, the thing about Twilicorn that peaked my interest is how the dev team has chosen to portray Twilight's status as Princess and Alicorn in such a paltry matter, actually not being immortal (though Celestia and Luna aren't officially confirmed to be immortal, so something else might have allowed them to live so long), not being separated from her friends, etc.

Which, to be fair, might already make sense, as the Elements of Harmony can only be used as long as Twilight and her friends are together with them and as long as remain friends, So obviously if Twilight had to do anything that would alter her relationship with her friends, it would have undesirable consequences, but if there is another in-universe reason for Twilicorn being downplayed in Season 4, well, let's just say I'd find it interesting to find out.
17. I'd have to agree it's fake, the list was obviously written with a complete lack of professionalism and some of it comes across as mild trolling. It's quite clear to me this was typed by a fan with no official sources to back it up, presumably for self-indulgent reasons. I've seen this before when some Pucca fans in different websites at one point listed what they claimed were upcoming episodes but refused to present proof of their so-called 'findings' And since we've heard no new info on Season 4 since IDW comics declared their plans for additional comics, I think we can safely toss aside this list
18. Okay, since you already got Twilight as the Red Ranger, I'd like to pick Green Ranger Rainbow Dash.

19. Say, Fluttershy, believe it or not, there was a recent poll online that has voted you as most favored Pony. It case you find that doubtful, check this link out; http://www.hubworld.com/hubworld/specials/mlpfim-fan-favorite/ any thoughts on that?
20. topic is self-explanatory. My two younger sisters enjoy the show pretty well, one of them is actually in her 20's like I am, which might've made her a Pegasister if she actively participated in the fandom like I do, she actually watched the show for a while but at one point stopped watching it at the middle of the second season 'cause she got interested in other stuff. My youngest sister is 7, so she's actually part of the target audience, and she enjoyed watching all the episodes as much as I did. I've even occasionally read to her some of my favorite fanfics, so she knows about the Brony fandom My Dad knows I like this show, but he's been mostly indifferent about it, though he does respect how I have different interests and tastes than him. I've tried to get him interested in MLP-FiM, but no luck so far though. But the fact I got him to sit through around 5-minutes of the 'Green Isn't Your Color' episode could only mean either that there's hope he can be persuaded to get into it, or he was just too tired after a hard day's work to get off his chair while I was watching it on Netflix.
21. The show gives nothing to indicate any of the Mane 6 cannot make any more friends nor would the Elements of Harmony would be affected if they did. If the Elements would be affected, the show would have told us as much after telling us the Pinkie Pie is friends with literally everyone in Ponyville. If anything, as long as the Mane 6 consistently maintain the friendship they already have for each other, they all can make as many new friends as they dang well please.
22. I agree, and even if a character should be given further development, there are ways to do so while still keeping the key qualities that are liked about said character. One great example is Elizabeth from Bioshock Infinite Without wishing to spoil anything, Elizabeth undergos a lengthy and strong character arc throughout the game, she starts out being naive yet highly intelligent, very nice and friendly, and carries a strong uplifting air about her that you more commonly see in most Disney princesses despite being in an M-rated video game. Yet as she learns more about her past, combined with learning more and more about the city of Columbia's darker side and the bond she forms with Booker Dewitt, she develops accordingly. By the later half of the game, she continues to kepp her intelligence, yet her naivete becomes gradually replaced with her forming a more realistic point of view, She always desires to do the right thing in a situation, yet comes to understand how things aren't always that simple, and as Booker (and by extension, you, the player,) starts to become more attached to Elizabeth, she, in turn, becomes more and more fond and appreciative toward Booker (and, again, the player by extension). Or heck, if you want an example from MLP, Rainbow Dash during the 'Wonderbolt Academy' has shown that she has learned in previous episodes how being too reckless and overconfident can have serious consequences, and while she still remains the thrill-loving pegasus many of us know and love, she has shown in some occasional yet vital points to now know when there moments where one should be cautious.
23. Yeah, I think the dev team for the show already more or less said the same thing regarding Alicorn Twilight. It's quite evident that Twilight will likely have only her wings be the only appreciable perk she gains as an Alicorn and the show seems to be planning on down-playing her staus as a princess, if it will truly come into play at all. This does make me look forward to seeing if Season 4 gives an in-universe reason for this. That sort of approach is indeed the right way to go for several reasons, the foremost being that since this is a show about friendship, having one character (even the main heroine) overshadow the rest of the true companions too much might mess with the premise.
24. Well, having finally watched the movie well around a month ago, I guess the reason the whole 'Spike as a dog' thing got the backlash it did was because they were taking it way too seriously. granted, I also used to be in the same crowd with those that didn't like that choice, but I cooled off when it occurred to me that the writers likely didn't mean for Spike to be considered downgraded or bellow the rest of the cast as a dog, this was quite evident with Spike still being able to talk and still possessing the same intelligence he had as a dragon. That combined with how he's helped Twilight several times throughout the movie makes it quite evident to me that the movie itself doesn't consider Spike downgraded as a dog. And while I still want Meghan McCarthy to explain her choice to make Spike a dog over making him human, the clear bottom line of it is this; the movie didn't take making Spike a dog seriously, so why should we?
25. Okay, there's something I want help with understanding. You know how Pinkie has this dark 'Pinkamina' side to her that first appeared in 'Party of One'? you know, the side to Pinkie that, in stark contrast to the actual Pinkie, who's always idealistic, cheerful, friendly, and fun-loving, 'Pinkamina' acts mean-spirited, angry, cynical, and miserable. Pretty much acting like everything Pinkie is NOT. Yet, despite that, I keep seeing 'Pinkamina' frequently appear in fanfiction and several pics of fan art on DeviantArt. The only reason I can see for this is that there are those in the fanbase that actually like 'Pinkamina'. Can someone help me understand the reasons behind this?
