  1. Does anyone remember a particularly mediocre 1994 Phillips CD-I game called "Zelda's Adventure"? If so, this track should be very familiar to you.
  2. I cannot speak to modern day cartoons as I really do not watch any of them. However, I do not believe them to be any more mature and / or violent than older cartoons. I grew up watching cartoons like Ren & Stimpy, Rocko's Modern Life, and Tom & Jerry, and I highly doubt that today's cartoons are as mature, perverse, and violent as cartoons from the 80's and 90's.
  3. I am not a creative person. Sneasel has always been my absolute favorite Pokemon since Generation II, and its shiny form is awesome.
  4. Here are some of my favorite boss themes that have not been posted yet: .hack//Infection - Skeith Theme Pokemon HG/SS - Lance & Red Theme Sonic The Hedgehog - Boss Theme
  5. I might be more compelled to take the time to type out a proper response to this issue if not for the OP's holier-than-thou attitude. Instead, I will treat this just like I treat Jehovah's Witnesses every time they come around.
  6. Crash Bandicoot 1 and 2 have not aged very well, and are probably not worth going back to play after so many years. However, Crash Bandicoot 3 (Warped) is easily one of the greatest PS1 titles ever released, and is still very much an enjoyable experience today.
  7. Marriland has released an update regarding the previously revealed Pokemon with a connection to Mewtwo, as well as more information and speculation about Sylveon. Check out the video below. As it turns out, Mewtwo will be getting a new form in X & Y, tentatively named "Awakened Mewtwo".
  8. I think most people tend to remember the Teen Titans cartoon a little too fondly, and overlook that it was a very hit or miss series as a whole. Put simply, one could describe many elements of Teen Titans as fairly one note, and I do not see that changing with Teen Titans Go! Personally, I find the new choice in animation to be questionable, and I cannot shake the feeling that Teen Titans Go! seems better suited to be a web mini-series as opposed to a full length television series. That being said, the idea of focusing on the non-heroic aspects of being a super hero is very intriguing, and I will at least give the series a try before I dismiss it completely. Sam Register is listed as the executive producer of Teen Titans Go! His prior works as executive producer include Thundercats (2011), Young Justice, The Looney Tunes Show, Transformers: Animated, Hihi Puffy AmiYumi, and various other DC Comics works. He was the executive producer of a few episodes of Ben 10 and Teen Titans as well.
  9. One of my favorite underrated bands is The Heavy. They are a UK based group that combines elements of neo soul and indie rock to form a very powerful and unique style of music. If you have ever played Arkham City or Borderlands 2, you may recognize The Heavy for the song " ". Fun fact, The Heavy is the only band to date featured on the Late Show that was ever asked to perform an encore by David Letterman, twice on two separate occasions. Enjoy.
  10. Here is my current Black 2 team: My team has not changed much since Generation II / III. Crobat, Magneton, Sneasel, and Starmie were all regulars on my team from Leaf Green, and have been with me ever since.
  11. This may just be because I am a South Korean and a little more informed about Korean pop culture than most, but I feel the need to clear some things up. 1. Please, please do not refer to PSY as a one-hit wonder. He is a well established artist in South Korea and has been for over a decade. I understand that the rest of the world is just now discovering him, but that does not discredit nor does it undermine his prior success. 2. The dance you see in this video. which PSY refers to as the "arrogant dance", was first used by the group Brown Eyed Girls in the song " ". 3. I have seen a lot of comments about how in the video PSY acts like a jerk towards women, and how some people have found it to be distasteful and/or hypocritical. That is exactly the point. Most of PSY's modern day M/Vs mock the established stereotypes of popular culture. Gangnam Style highlights the almost Beverly Hills-like qualities of the Gangnam District, whereas Gentleman ridicules the popular "bad boy" image that many young men buy into. Obviously, the quality of the music itself is completely subjective. I just wanted to clarify some common assumptions and misconceptions about PSY as an artist and entertainer.
  12. These songs are not so much "weird" as they..."foreign" to most. Nonetheless, I love them very much, and wish to share them with you all.
  13. I work for an Internet-monitoring company. We work with various bank, government, and law enforcement agencies to monitor and identify potential security threats against our clientele. I have been with the company for almost four years now, and primarily work nights.
  14. This scene from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air may not be the single most sad thing I have ever watched but it certainty hits close to home.
  15. Brian Jacques is my favorite childhood author, and I've red most of the books in the Redwall series. I believe I stopped right around Rakkety Tam, and I would honestly love to pick right back up where I left off and finish the series. Brian Jacques deserves that much from me at the very least, may he rest in peace.
  16. I honestly could not really get behind the Teen Titans cartoon. In my opinion, it was incredibly shallow and most everyone lacked any real depth of character. To be perfectly frank...Raven's leotard was the best part of the cartoon.
  17. I personally was not a fan of this political quiz, as I do not believe 10 generic questions with limited answers can really give you a good idea of where you stand on the political spectrum. If I may, I would suggest taking THIS political quiz instead, as it is much more detailed and asks some pretty difficult questions. There are also many more practical answers available for each question, instead of the simple "Agree", "Disagree", and "Maybe".
  18. Haha, at this point I am not sure if I joined an MLP forum or a Pokemon forum. Thank you again for the welcomes!
  19. I'd just like to throw in my two cents regarding my observations of X & Y thus far. The starters for this generation, Chespin, Fennekin, and Froakie, appear to be dual-types based on their known moves revealed in the trailer. Each of them use an attack that reflects their known type, as well as a second attack that alludes to their second type. Chespin uses Solar Beam, and what looks like either Feint Attack or Night Slash, suggesting Grass/Dark. Fennekin's second attack is clearly a Psychic type move, suggesting Fire/Psychic. Froakie uses a Fighting type move, indicating Water/Fighting. This is interesting in that it creates a second triad in terms of type effectiveness. After five generations of Pokemon, we know that Grass beats Water, Water beats Fire, and Fire beats Grass. With X & Y, the assumed second types of each starter actually creates a second triad. In this instance, Dark beats Psychic. Psychic beats Fighting, and Fighting beats Dark. This suggests that no matter which starter you pick, you will be at no real disadvantage against your rival's starter. I have seen a lot of debate concerning Sylveon's type, and at this point I believe it to be a relatively safe bet to assume that Sylveon will be a Flying type Pokemon for numerous reasons. First off, ever since Espeon and Umbreon were introduced, players have been asking for a Flying type Eeveelution to complete an all Eevee team while still having access to Fly. Second, Sylveon is the lightest of all the Eeveelutions. Third, Sylveon's English, Japanese (Nymphia), French (Nymphali), Spanish (Sylveon), and Italian (Sylveon) name all support the theory of it being a Flying type. In each of their respective mythologies, Sylphs and Nymphs are generally depicted as air elementals and fairy-like deities. The last topic I would like to touch upon is the prospect of a new Mewtwo form. I highly doubt that this actually a new Mewtwo form, but rather a new genetically engineered Pokemon similar to Mewtwo and Genesect. Game Freak and Nintendo have both stated numerous types that this is a new Pokemon, so I do not really understand where the assumption that it is a new form comes from.
  20. Thank you for the warm welcomes, everypony. I am glad to see a fair number of fellow Pokemon fans here as well.
  21. The wild Sneasel used Introduction! It's super effective! Greetings everypony! The name is ShinySneasel, and I shall be joining you all today. I am a 24 year old Korean-American living in Northern Virginia, part time college student studying criminology, and a full time technical analyst and supervisor of an Internet-monitoring company. My interests include cooking, gaming, graphics design, music, and wilderness exploration. As my name suggests, I am a big fan of Pokemon, and have been since 1998. As for My Little Pony, I first caught wind of Friendship Is Magic on 4chan back before it exploded as an internet subculture, and have been following the fandom ever since. My favorite pony is Rarity. If you have any questions, I would be happy to answer them. The wild Sneasel fled!
