  1. The Wii U's problem is not its power. The problem is games. Power doesn't sell a system, games do. Prime example being the first couple of years of the PS3. All that power didn't mean much without games. And the Wii U's game library is incredibly weak right now. It has some gems, like Super Mario Bros. U, Lego City: Undercover, and....uh....well....actually....as far as titles you can't get elsewhere, that's about it. And that's the problem. Yes, there are games coming out later for the console, but we're going to reach its first anniversary, and you'll be able to count the number of top notch games on the console on one hand. Here's the other problem. The controller. Now I've played a Wii U, and I have to say that the Game Pad really isn't that bad. It doesn't feel awkward in my hands. That being said, several high profile developers have already said that they have no intention of working with the Wii U because of the Game Pad. It's too different from what they're used to, and the extra work that it would take to make their games work with it won't pan out to increased profit. Therefore, it's not worth it. So they're getting hit in the games department again. I love Nintendo. I grew up with Nintendo. I still have my gray brick Game Boy around here somewhere, and the darn thing still works. But now they have a system that is very under-powered AND works so differently than the other consoles that they're having a hard time keeping the third party support that they actually managed to scrap together near launch. As someone whose job it is to sell games and game systems, I can tell you. I'm sitting on a stack of Wii Us in my stockroom right now. Haven't sold one in months. That's bad. Very bad.
  2. As previously stated by others, the mighty Meghan McCarthy has already told us that Twilight will not outlive her friends. Which is a very, very good thing. As far as what exactly that means, I don't know. My personal headcanon right now is that Celestia and Luna were born alicorns, and that is why they are immortal/exceptional long-living. As Twilight was not, she will still have a normal lifespan. Who knows if that's actually correct. I sure as heck don't. But it's what I go with for now, since we really don't know much about it yet.
  3. Haters that are THAT passionate about it have issues of some kind. Nothing they say should be taken seriously. Think about it. Someone thinks you should cease living because of a cartoon show that you like? That hardly sounds like the thought process of a fully-functional, sane person. THAT is why they should be ignored. Their hatred has no basis in logic. It's simply mindless hate. And anyone who mindlessly hates anything has issues they need to deal with. Not our problem.
  4. It's basically a brony meme. And that's all any meme is, really. At least quote-related ones. It's something that was said once with no intended significance, but it caught on for some reason. That being said, people who say it CONSTANTLY are annoying. But that has nothing to do with the phrase itself. Anything said constantly gets annoying. Well, everything except "Applejack is best pony". That can never be said enough.
  5. I still love watching cartoons. I also still love watching Power Rangers. I maaaay have bought the Legacy Morpher today....and by "maaaay have", I mean I totally did.
  6. Wow!!! You're got some amazing art there! And you do commissions, eh? Hmm....I may have to ponder that. I enjoy getting commissioned art of my OC. And I always like to support talented artists like yourself!
  7. *may or may not have just bought the new Legacy Power Rangers Morpher* >.> <.<

      Well played, sir!

  9. I may or may not have downloaded the song to my phone...and my tablet...along with a video clip of the song...and listened to it on repeat....for a few days in a row.... >.>
  10. Agreeing to disagree is a perfectly acceptable way to end a debate, in my book. And I think you make some valid points, which I will ponder. A pleasant day to you, good sir!
  11. STORY TIME! Okay, this was actually a friend of mine that did this, but it's my favorite sleep-speaking story EVER. So, a couple of my buddies were at a summer camp. This was back when we were all in middle school. They're sharing a bunk bed. My friend on the top bunk, Boyd, had forgotten to bring a flashlight. So my friend on the bottom bunk, Drew, said he could just wake him up and borrow his if he needed to go to the bathroom or something. So in the middle of the night, Boyd wakes up to the call of nature. He hops down and nudges Drew. Drew mumbles something. Boyd nudges him again and says "Drew, wake up." Drew then turns over and says, "I know, I know, but I just don't think androids are a good idea! They require maintenance every four hours!" Boyd looks at Drew and says ".....what?" Drew then blinks, looking at Boyd and says, "Oh, Boyd. I thought you were Geordi La Forge." Drew's a big Star Trek nerd.
  12. It doesn't matter though. It has been stated very clearly in the show that destiny is an active and absolute force in the world of Equestria. Twilight's destiny was to be a princess, and now she is. Seeing Celestia as manipulating her is, in my own opinion, reading too much of our world into theirs.
  13. But that's the whole point of the CMC right now. They don't get that. They don't understand it. They "want it nooooooow". They don't yet understand that it's a part of who they are, and it will happen, but it simply will happen when the time is right.
  14. It says it's a cartoon show for young girls, my friend. That's how their universe works. And we have yet to see a single pony that dislikes their cutie mark. Look at the CMC. What does everypony keep telling them? To search for it by doing things they already love to do and are good at.
  15. The reason that there is such a great love for Derpy (at least in my opinion) is the very story you just learned about. She's become something of a symbol for the fandom. Not only did she get unfairly silenced, which most of us are against, she was the first (and probably still the biggest) major shout out to the fandom itself. Derpy was never supposed to be what she is now. Her eyes were an animation error that didn't get corrected for her first appearance. And the fandom latched onto her, so the error became canon. And we're the ones that named her Derpy. Her name was originally Ditzy Doo, but we all named her Derpy, so the writers changed her name to Derpy. It's not just the pony, it's everything behind her and her story.
  16. Two words for you, my friend: ALICORN MAGIC. Seriously, she's got some crazy knees going on there...it must be some kind of freaky magic.
  17. Let's see....that would be...uh, actually, Equestria Girls. XD Before that though, I'm pretty sure the last movie I watched was Wreck-It Ralph.
  18. No, because as evidenced by "cutie marks", in the land of Equestria, destiny is absolute and inevitable. And as Celestia pointed out, this was Twilight's destiny. Twilight was always meant to become a princess. Celestia was simply playing her role in what was destined to happen.
  19. Hmmm....let's see....well, I guess I'd have to say Diamond Tiara...she's a serious b-word. Buuuuut....uh....I really....like her mane? Yeah....let's go with that.
  20. I hear ya! And how would you like me to request the comission? On your other thread, or maybe a message? I want to put the request in tomorrow!
  21. Well work that good deserves compensation! And I have been there, my friend...college life can be rough. Just hang in there, and you will have real food again!
  22. Oh, and I beat Tiny Tina's DLC last night. DEAR SWEET CELESTIA, THE FEELS. I HAD SO MANY OF THEM. Seriously though, that DLC is AWESOME.
  23. As a 26 year old brony, I can speak to that. Yes, I have more money that I can spend on stuff. However, I also have to use that money on bills. On gas. On all sorts of things. I can go where ever I want. But I have to go to work. As far as who I can watch the show with, that has nothing to do with your age. That's a personal thing. Either you care if people know you're a brony, or you don't. Me, I don't. Being older can be nice, but I can't just do whatever I want, whenever I want. All that extra money and freedom comes with more responsibility.
  24. I am an "uneducated Southerner", as someone called it earlier (although I'm guessing/hoping in playful jest), so I normally say 'coke'. However, that's just in normal conversation. If I'm ordering a beverage from someone, I have the presence of mind to call it by its proper name. Like, "I'll have a Dr. Pepper." or "A small Pepsi."
