    Yes. I have trouble tolerating bright light these days.

    I've left forums for various reasons over the years, the biggest one being I never felt I belonged or could make a meaningful contribution to the community at large. I'd usually end up coming back, then leaving again when the same doubts kept raising their heads. So, basically it's more of a 'me' thing than anything to do with the forums themselves. I think now that I'm on more of an even keel that won't happen any more.

    I'm feeling a whole jumble of emotions that I can't adequately put into words. Gonna try to sort it all out as the day goes on.

    It's been a few years now so I can talk about it. More than a "few" years, actually. My experience in high school was mixed, at best. It is where I learned some valuable real-world skills, and there were some good times. What I hated about it was being bullied, marginalized, physically abused, and if I had to do it all over again, I don't know what I'd do, because the alternative would have been ten times worse.
