  1. So I assume relaunching it didn't work? Try going into "Wacom Preferences" (not the file utility) and switch to the pen tab, and just check around there to see if anything is amiss (I am not familiar with the Intuous tablet, since I just have a bamboo :C) And maybe trying other programs would work, try a free one like GIMP or something just to see if the pen pressure works, so you can pinpoint the issue (either if it's with Sai or the tablet itself)
  2. Also, your signature, Warriors as in the book series? I loved that series xD
  3. Have you relaunched the drawing software since you reset the preferences? You may need to relaunch it 1 or 2 times after you reset it.
  4. Have you tried resetting your preferences? Search your computer for the Wacom Preference File Utility, launch it, and under "All User Preferences" his remove, and see if that does anything. That's generally a cure-all I use to fix any issues with my tablet. Otherwise, I'm not really sure. Have you tried googling the issue? Just by the way, the preference reset usually fixes pen pressure as well.
  5. I could try, I'm not incredibly good by any means but if time allows it I will. One thing; what's her personality, or haven't you decided? I just mean in simple terms, like compassionate, brave, etc. It isn't necessary but it helps slightly when deciding a pose.

  7. Wow, this is spectacular. The emotion portrayed through the intricate weaving of the lines, as well as the contrast between white and black, create a true tone of the chaos going on inside the miniature equine. This is further supported by the beautifully drawn phrase beside the pony, "Kill me," which just further drives home the convoluted emotion. The spastic style of the lines fully characterize the idea of discord and entropy that inhabits this small, monochrome pone. Truly a piece of art. I would definitely recommend what Shardikku said. You'd be doing them a favor, what, attracting millions from over the world to reflect upon this masterpiece.
  8. There are very few grimdarks that I enjoy, though there are a few. Anything pertaining to the rainbow factory, I.E rainbow factory and Pegasus Device, are my favorites by far. But full out brutal fics like cupcakes and stuff just don't entertain me at all. I'm not one for in-depth gore and such, but I more so enjoy, if not love the aspect of physiological horror, in which case rainbow factory comes into play. It's why I prefer games like Amnesia: TDD for horror games, as it focuses so much on atmosphere and emotions, while still having its fair share of straight up horror and jumpscares. But that's just my opinion
  9. An honest day's work is, in my opinion, a phrase used to imply that you worked honestly, as in you worked for your living instead of just stealing it or something, I.E deception. I don't think the phrase is supposed to be literal, but instead just vague to portray the idea of honesty without literally meaning not telling a lie, etc. As far as the actual definition of honesty, one of the official definitions is, "Free of deceit and untruthfulness; sincere." From there it's fairly straightforward, it's simply the act of being truthful and sincere. This means no deceit, no lies, no satire, etc., what you mean is what you say. While I've never really liked Applejack's element, as it really isn't shown a whole lot except for upfront examples, it still holds true. I don't want to give any spoilers, but there are a few episodes which clearly show her realization to tell the truth outright. That's my two cents, though I'm sure other people have other variations, no matter how slight.
  10. Yea, it turned out really well done. But as said, for critique, the neck is a bit thick, the chest is a too big, and the may be slightly too long. Other than that, great work.
  11. This purple pone, if you couldn't already tell.
  12. I'd have to know in detail how each one worked, but honestly I'd go with either Darkness, Time, or Physics/Reality. If I didn't know exactly, I'd probably go with Reality just because that seems like the safest bet.
  13. If I am really trying I can consistently hit around 120 WPM without any mistakes, but I usually type somewhere around 90-100 WPM. I didn't really take any classes, I'm sure I could improve if I did, but for the most part I just spend way too much time playing games and talking on forums (like this one).
  14. The will for me to contribute to the fandom wanes over my head every day, but I've no way to do so. I just cling to my vague ability to draw and hope that one day I'll be good enough to effect someone positively. Maybe do commissions, stuff like that. I suppose that we all start somewhere :)

    1. Kothen

      Kothen

      You and me both.

  15. It's really pathetic to see people so ignorant to other's feelings. That, or the alternative, where they mean to inflict harm upon the person, which is even worse. People like this are the only ones that I can truly say I dislike. This is why I try to spend so much time in the life advice section, because I'm tired of seeing stories like this where complete idiots drive people to suicide. Never should a person be insulted to the point where they deem it necessary to take their own life. Hopefully everyone affected by this event can make it through, and may Adam rest in peace.
  16. Amazing job guys. Awesome to see that a community can come together and raise so much for those who really need it.
  17. Well, I'd have to say I've never thought about it this way before!
  18. I have been thinking about this for a while, and I am just wondering on what your guys' opinion on it is. When I say humans in Equestria, I mean as if someone in our world created a dimensional transportation device, and we were in their world. Another question that could be debated is, how would Equestria (the land, ponies, etc. included by this term) look given these circumstances? Would it remain how we see it in the show, or would it take on a more realistic, possibly SFM pony style look? Clearly this is all subjective, I'm just curious as to what you guys think it would appear to be. Personally, I have no idea. That's why I'm asking here. I just don't think a human would "fit" in the equestrian world, however then you could also make a point that MLP is really made out to be 2 dimensional in a sort of way, so it may just be potentially difficult for us to imagine how 3D beings would appear in a 2D based world. Anyways, I digress; what are your guys' opinions on this?
  19. I've done a bit of thinking about this topic. I think the issue is that most anti-bronies make a negative comment and get a bunch of hate, which they then proceed to use to generalize the entire fandom, with something like; "you guys get all defensive," and stuff like that. The issue is, the smart bronies who aren't like that usually ignore the conversations, because they know they will probably just add fuel to the fire. The anti-bronies never get a chance to see the good side because the good side is too smart to involve themselves in such a petty conflict. That's my take on it at least.
  20. Well what I did to get started was essentially find a cool picture I liked and tried to recreate it. For instance, one of my earlier practices was rainbow dash in a sort of flying position. Honestly, all you need to do to practice is try as many different poses as you can. Your goal is to nail down the 'anatomy' of whatever you're drawing. Ponies, for instance, can be easy in some poses, but it takes practice to learn how to fabricate those poses. To fully be capable of doing so you have to learn how each part moves, etc., generally by just practicing with different poses. Hope this helped a bit
  21. HAH, thanks for pointing that out. That's actually an error on my part, when I removed one of the sketch lines I forget to fill in the spot with the fill, so instead it is just showing the background. I'll fix that asap Also yea, lately I have been trying to nail down my understanding of anatomy by dropping the use of references unless I am completely stumped, then I just ask for any criticism, and fix it from there. Thanks for your input
  22. You did this on a mouse? Wow. But yea, I would highly recommend a tablet. They're pretty amazing xD
  23. Any better now? I made a quick adjustment to both things you mentioned.
  24. It works now And that's really good. If anything, the neck may be a bit long, but I am not the best at anatomy so who knows
  25. Something I have been working on as a possible avatar for a while... I would appreciate any criticism on it, besides broken/jagged lines, which I am currently slowly working out. I just want to make sure there aren't any major anatomy issues in case I have to move stuff around and such. EDIT: This is now done I believe, thanks to all who helped EDIT V2: Moved the mane a bit to make it more natural
