You should check it out! The episodes are on YouTube in full HD. http://www.youtube.com/user/MrHowardSands1/videos?view=0 The animated series Jem follows the adventures of a pop star named Jem and her band, the Holograms. Determined to use their fame and fortune to help others, the group runs a home for runaway girls called Starlight House. They have a secret, however, in that lead singer Jem and the band's manager, Jerrica, are actually the same person. Jerrica's late father, a brilliant scientist, created a super computer called Synergy, into which he programmed the soul of Jerrica's late mother. Jerrica remains connected to Synergy by wearing a pair of specially designed earrings that can communicate with the computer through no more than a whisper. When she needs to don her Jem persona, she says the magic phrase "Show time, Synergy!" and through the use of holograms, she is instantly outfitted with the pink hair and outrageous outfits that make her no longer recognizable as Jerrica, even to her boyfriend, Rio. Unfortunately, the band's secret makes them vulnerable to the mean-spirited rival band the Misfits, who are always out to ruin the lives and careers of the Holograms. Jem originally ran from 1985 to 1988 and retains a cult status, especially among its original audience. The flamboyant 1980s style of the clothes and music featured on the show make it a favorite among those with a taste for all things retro.

Haven't picked up a pencil in a while, but recently got back in to it. Here's a couple of my things. This first one of the cast of Jem I did when I was in high school back in 1998. FINALLY finished coloring in last night. Only took me 14 years, haha! Unfortunately, I was a dumb kid and folded it and therefore there's a permanent crease. Boo! Hiss! This one here I did last night of the Misfits.

The opinion of a hater should never factor in to what makes you happy. It would be like letting someone tell you what your favorite color is. Only YOU can decide what is right for yourself. Why waste time with topic after topic devoted to things that don't matter? Just do your thing and don't worry about the rest.

Glad to see so many other fans of this amazeballs show! Some of the words Fin and Jake use crack me up so much. I love everything about this series.

How come? I actually thought it was cool when I turned 30. I still feel the same, look young, and am technically still a young man. I embrace my age fully. I've learned and become who I am today thanks to all those years that came before. Youth is awesome but I would never want to return to my teens or even early 20's, because I was so unsure of everything back then. I like being a confidant, pony lovin' adult.

Very scary. I'm so glad he has pulled through but he has a long way to recovery. He's lucky to be alive at all. It just goes to show how quickly life can change. In a heartbeat, literally.

I absolutely would give my life to protect the ones I love. That's what love is all about - caring more about someone than you do for yourself.

Do you belive cats are able to have feelings for humans?
Jemboi replied to Vicke's topic in General Discussion
I'm a owner of many dogs and cats and I can say without question that cats are perfectly capable of having strong bonds with their human owners and expressing loving attachment. They think and feel just as any other mammal does, just not the same as us humans. That's our problem, we try to humanize everything. Are cats more independent than dogs? Most of the time, but even so I have known some very clingy cats. It's really all up to individuality, because just like with humans, animals differ wildly in personality. I've always felt cats get the short end of the stick when it comes to love and appreciation in the pet owner world, and this topic helps demonstrate that. To the topic creator, if you met the right cat, I have no doubt your perception of them would change. -
I kinda want one. Sorta. They get old quick tho. At first I hated the eyes but it adds a lot more character once you see it in action.

What was your first week as a brony like?
Jemboi replied to Akemi Homura's topic in Sugarcube Corner
I kept hearing and seeing things about this show. Memes were showing up EVERYWHERE. At one point, Gagadaily (a big Lady Gaga fan site) started using pony emoticons. I simply had to check it out so I downloaded the entire first season. It was currently in an off season before the second. I fell in love and was so impressed with the animation and most importantly, the characters and world in which they live. MLP was successfully rebooted and vastly improved itself over its former incarnations. That's not an easy feat. So, in other words, I was super happy and enjoying the pony ride. Still am to this day. -
I am not a hardcore drinker but I do enjoy the occasional drink or two. My fave is Midori. That stuff is like candy but has a rather high alcohol content. And it's such a pretty green color. As far as taking shots or anything like that, I have personally come to the conclusion that whiskey is the only way to go. Vodka doesn't settle with my stomach very well when I shoot it and it sits there like a foul tasting rock whereas whiskey does it's damage and quickly leaves my taste buds. Hennessy all the way.

I have plenty of things that bother or annoy me but mostly ignorance because it's what leads to all the evil in the world (bigotry, etc). Know-it-alls, rude, hypocrital, pushy, snobby and materialistic people bother me to no end. As a gay dude, homophobes who hide behind the old and out of date bible to which no one can live up to and use religion as a weapon to hate and discrimate SUCK ass! The list could go on and on but I choose not to dwell on it too much because negativity is also something that bugs me. This world has far too much negativity. The internet is especially filled with it. Those internet types that hate on everyone and everything and act as if their own poo doesn't stink really sets my buns on fire. So yeah, that's about it I think in a nutshell.

Nope. I am me. Always. That sometimes gets me in trouble. I'm very open and honest about things and typically unafraid and unapologetic in my opinions. That doesn't always work in my favor and can rub people the wrong way. Even so, I've learned it's always best to be yourself. I don't want to make it sound like I'm a hardass, because I'm not. I'm generally a very nice and compassionate person. It's just that I refuse to put up with BS or be treated unfairly by ANYONE.

I do. I do some light weight lifting but it keeps my arms defined and looking nice. I don't wanna be a mucle jock or anything, just healthy.

That is all kinds of awful. Holy cow! Why would anyone who clearly doesn't have the talent, even attempt it? Honestly, leave it to the professionals.
