Pre-Order for Fluttershy and Dr. Whooves Vinyl Collectibles
Jemboi replied to Aurum's topic in Merchandise
I just became aware of this while searching for Derpy paraphernalia and I have already ordered the first pair (Dash and Derpy) and will be pre-ordering the new set this weekend (payday). Anyone have any idea of the release date? I too hope I don't get the rare sparkly editions. Also, thanks for the codes. It's a great help. You essentially get two for one, which is awesome. -
How do you feel when you're buying MLP stuff in a shop?
Jemboi replied to Szmeszek's topic in Merchandise
I have a fairly decent pony collection going and do admit to sometimes feeling awkward when browsing the pony section BUT I am a firm believer in not caring what others think. We can't live our lives for anyone else, so why waste time on worry? More often than not, I live by that motto but sometimes society gets the best of me. Just gotta keep fighting the good fight! Live YOUR life and be happy. We can't help what makes us happy and so long as it doesn't hurt anyone, what's the big deal? BE HAPPY! -
Why Twilicorn Works: Insight on the Supporting Side
Jemboi replied to Zennistrad's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
Twilight is my favorite character and part of me thinks it would be really cool to have her become an alicorn but the other part of me fears the unknown - all the possible ramifications. I am going to trust in the writers and producers of this wonderful little show, and hope for the best. They haven't steered me wrong so far. I think the best thing to do is to keep a positive outlook and wait to see what happens before you declare doomsday. -

mega thread Your favourite pony and why?
Jemboi replied to Twilight Sparkle ✨'s topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
My favorite is Twilight simply because she's purple, super smart, and has powerful magic. The rest are sorta tied for me. I love Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy equally. They are my second go-to ponies. Can't separate my love for them to rate. I also adore Luna and am now developing an affection for Rarity (that gorgeous purple mane *favorite color*). -
Will MLP get a 100th episode?
Jemboi replied to Pony Of The Month's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
I do not see MLP getting to 100 episodes. Maybe it can, but this is Hasbro we're talking about so who knows. Part of me hopes it does because I love it so much, but then again, shows do tend to lose quality as they go on (inevitable) so maybe it wouldn't be a bad thing to end sooner rather than later. Also, if we're going to continue with short seasons it's highly unlikely to reach that feat. I guess only time will tell. -
I see it completely different but I respect your opinion. I think AJ has developed MORE over the seasons and been given very adequate screen time for a "unpopular" pony. She has a distinguished personality and a fleshed out family. What other ponies have that? I think it's becoming a sort of "poor AJ" bandwagon as of late around here and it's not justified whatsoever. AJ fans should be incredibly happy. It's Rarity and Fluttershy fans who should be complaining incessantly. Just my two cents. -_- Excellents points and even further establishes my belief that AJ is the most developed of all the ponies, even Twilight. My opinions seem to be controversial around here, but it is what it is. Thanks for this great post.

I don't think anyone is saying that AJ doesn't deserve the screen time. She does. I think AJ is a great character and very integral. However, I do believe those pointing out she is often the focus (not so much season two) is a legit statement. It's nothing against AJ, but she by far has the most episodes of the mane 5 (not including Twilight). They're simply spaced out after season one where she dominated. I feel like I must be watching a different show, because the one I've been watching since 2010 has had more than enough AJ (and that's not a bad thing). But go on with your bad selves.

I don't understand how anyone can make such a claim without tongue in cheek. As stated before, Applejack has had more character development than even Twilight Sparkle. Outside of Twilight (the mane mane pony), AJ without a doubt has gotten the most attention (devoted episodes). This especially applies to season one. Seriously, to all those crying about poor AJ not getting focus, re-watch the series because it couldn't be any further from the truth. I am currently converting my husband in to a brony and he is the one who pointed out to me just how many episodes are AJ-centric. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against AJ or her hardcore fans. I'm also not saying that she has too much screen time. I've never been bothered either way. Truly. So please take no offense. I'm simply stating the truth as I see it. I just don't get it (the claim).

I have nothing against AJ but I am currently re watching the past seasons and the only ponies who have ever felt neglected here and there are Rarity and Fluttershy. Applejack dominated the first season by far and got adequate attention in the second. If anything, she's over exposed in comparison. Twilight doesn't count because she's the focal character the show is based around. Sorry to all the AJ fans out there. Again, I mean no harm. It's just how I see it and I have no bias either way. Also, my husband has started to watch the show after catching a few episodes with me and asked me why AJ gets so much focus. I told him I hadn't noticed it before. Re watching the past seasons brought it to my attention and seeing this topic saying the opposite is kind of ironic. I really don't understand how anyone could feel she's ever been neglected. After all, AJ is actually one of the most developed characters and has an entire fleshed out family. Again, no harm meant.

Sexism and ageism are both huge components in the discrimination of harmless bronies. We're all supposed to play our role in society. Stay within the bubble. Don't break the mold. Different is dangerous. A boy watching MLP? Scandalous! A man watching MLP? Dangerous and creepy! I am 31 years old and a proud brony. Sure, I don't look my age but I digress. I be rocking my pony swag whenever I go out. I'm not ashamed nor should anyone else be. It doesn't matter what's between your legs or how old you are. If it makes you happy and doesn't hurt anyone else, then that's all that matters. To hell with the rest. I think it's very sad that our community spends so much time on the haters. They don't matter and shouldn't receive so much of our attention. This is a place to celebrate the fantastic MLP FIM with our fellow bronies, without fear or prejudice. Let's get back to that. And the truth is, there will always be ignorance and no amount of dissection will ever make sense of it. Stupid is as stupid does.

Art is obviously subjective but they're based on real people and made to resemble and emulate them, so you'll have to take it up with those the ponies are modeled after. LOL!

I owned the iPhone 3&4 and they served me well, but once the Galaxy SIII came out, I was too entice and so jumped ship. I don't regret it. It was a bit of a change to get used to, but I picked it up very quickly and love the new found freedom I have. How my phone looks and functions is up to me and I love that. Don't get me wrong, this isn't an "I hate Apple" post. I've just been there and done that and moved on. iPhones are still great phones, I just feel Apple wrongly gets credited with innovation that's been present in Android phones for years.

I started something up on Facebook and Instagram without really intending to, but it has a life of it's own now and can't be stopped. It started with me turning myself in to a pony via drawing aka ponyfication. After that, my family and friends started requesting become "ponyfied". I obliged and it's become a big hit and is really fun for me to do. The drawings have evolved since I first begin, being that the first couple started out with simple crayon and then I moved on to colored penciles and later adding the MLP logo and font. Here's a couple examples of my work.

Thanks so much to you and everyone else who have paid me such nice complements. Much appreciated. These latest are from 2012. I did them within the past week or two. Most within days. The cartoon's animation and style progresses over the course of the series. You'll notice a stark contrast by episode 6 in visuals. It's a really wonderful series and one that you will get heavily invested in if you keep watching. I warn you though, you WILL fall in love with the characters and the Jem universe. Once Jem hooks ya, she never lets go. Here's a sketch I did today and only a true Jem fan would appreciate it or even comprehend. Totally for the hardcore. LOL!

Added some text to the Misfits drawing and did a few new sketches. I've started a new "Duets" series of Jem drawings. "Duets" instead of "duo" being that Jem is musical.
