    Honestly, I just figure that in this world the earth is flat; as our world was believed to be back then. Especially sense it was believed that Tartarus existed at the edge of the world.

    Perhaps they are like locusts in the sense that they are easily impeded by wind. In that case the wind would be keeping them away (perhaps the pegasi could contribute). Of course a strong shift could easily bring them back . On that note, the life span of a locust is 3-5 months so maybe it could be the same for the parasprite. And, of course, locusts tend to breed more when there is more food so all that food could have been contributing to their rapid increase.

    In the beginning I struggled to go in with the mentality that I was not just watching a girls show but a fun cartoon that I could enjoy just like any other. Of course now it's very easy for me to maintain this mentality. That's pretty much it; I don't really approach the show with much else.

    I agree, I think it was just the random bursts of magic for the unicorn. As for the pegasus, it is never said that all pegasi have trouble flying at a young age, I think it is just Scootaloo herself who has trouble.

    When I first started watching the opening theme is what made me cringe. It has grown on me now though then I would have preferred to skip over it. Just as well much of episode two had me tensing up a bit just because of the cliches that are used (frankly I don't believe that episode does the rest of the show justice). I especially cringed at the "Shadowbolts." Not much originality there :/ Ha Ha, yeah, that made me cringe too. She really had to say that every time.

    I thought it was really interesting when they gave Rarity the element of generosity, looking at how she was portrayed in the beginning but in her defense, I can also see why the writers did it. Rarity is a tad uppity, vain, and materialistic. I don't think the creators wanted these traits to totally define her so they gave her the contrasting element. I think in terms of generosity she is meant to be a "good Samaritan." In everyday situations she doesn't really show her element but when someone is in need she is willing to give up what she wants in order to help that person; like when she cut her tail for the dragon (I was actually surprised to see her do that so willingly). I agree, I actually think that generosity is one of the hardest virtues to have; she may not be generous all the time but you gotta give her some slack.
