Single. But men are by and large depicted as evil savages these days, so I'm not sure if seeking a life partner is worth it anymore.

movies/tv Movies you enjoyed that most hated.
KillerKingBakudan replied to Sondash Studios's topic in Media Discussion
I forgot about Ghost in the Shell 2017. I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. Not as much as Alita: Battle Angel, but for a Hollywood adaptation of a famous manga franchise, it was done reasonably well. The characters were faithful, and the action did not disappoint. It only got a bad rap because of the countless number of SJWs crying about whitewashing. The studio that owns the rights to the source material said themselves that the Major's race was never given. Not in the manga, or in any previous anime. When people so easily disregard official word like that, you know this movie would never get a fair chance. I'm also extremely annoyed by all the comparisons to the 1995 movie. 2017 was just one intrepretation of GITS. It did not need to be a carbon copy. Faulting it for that reason makes as much sense to me as saying Chris Nolan's Batman movies suck because they're not like Tim Burton's Batman movies. -

Alien vs Predator: Requiem. Sure, it's not the ideal movie based on the comics that everyone wanted. Sure, it's got some forgettable characters. Sure, it's dark. But none of that was enough to kill the movie for me. In the end, I got what I wanted: a badassed Predator killing xenomorphs, and humans dying in the most violent ways you can imagine. It's everything the first AvP failed miserably at delivering. I especially enjoyed the girlfriend getting split in half by the shuriken; that kill was so priceless. Plus, some people took offense to the scene in the hospital where the Predalien ate some fresh newborns alive, albeit off camera, and implanted "belly bursters" into pregnant women. That actually made me enjoy it a hell of a lot more. Lol. -

The Mane Six have been called by the map to solve a friendship problem. A very serious friendship problem. And this time, they've failed. The two ponies they were supposed to help not only didn't get to reconnect, but one of them became an all-powerful supervillain that had to be sent to Tartarus for war crimes not unlike those perpetuated by the likes of Tirek or Sombra. The other pony was never seen again. A massive search for this pony has been conducted every day since the incident ended, and with no leads, everyone's beginning to question whether she's even still alive. Her family has become so distraught that her mother had to be admitted to a mental hospital for suicidal thoughts. As far as the Tree of Harmony's concerned, this tragedy only happened because in spite of all their past accomplishments, the Mane Six were too incompetent to fulfill the task entrusted to them. The tree has concluded that fear is the only solution. So now to ensure that nothing like this happens again, when being summoned by the map, cutie marks will no longer just glow with a brighter intensity. They will also burn. So much that when it happens, ponies will feel like cattle being branded with a hot iron. It's only going to get worse any moment the map senses their efforts at solving the friendship problem are about to go south. This serves as a terrible reminder to each of the Mane Six that failure is no longer an option. But since the map can call practically any creature, and not just the Mane Six or even ponies, that makes you subject to the same treatment. If it wants YOU to fix a problem, you're gonna get a nasty burn. And since you don't have a cutie mark, you haven't a clue what part of you will be affected. The only way to avoid this is to jump through a portal leading back to your own world, so the map can no longer detect you. Do you leave Equestria, or do you stay and continue to live with every creature at the mercy of the map?

You own an arcade. What games do you put in it?
KillerKingBakudan replied to KillerKingBakudan's topic in Media Discussion
I just googled it. Is that game coin-op? Because I'm not seeing pictures anywhere of designated arcade cabinets for it, and PC and console games don't count. -

I think it's time to pay some respects to an industry that's barely still alive. We really shouldn't have to travel all the way to Chicago and visit Galloping Ghost just to play some arcade games. Let's say you get the funding necessary to start your own arcade, and fill it up with some badass retro titles and other games that are currently being produced only for Japan, or one of several Dave & Busters in the US that are too few and far between. As per the norm, choose coin-op titles only. While there are many games you enjoy on the current market, the idea here is to make money. My picks: Platformers- Metal Slug 1-6 Robocop Magic Sword Elevator Action Returns Shinobi Shadow Dancer Rampage Rampage: World Tour Rampage 2018 Beat em ups- Final Fight Knights of the Round Armored Warriors The Punisher Alien vs. Predator Cadillacs and Dinoaurs Dungeons & Dragons: Tower of Doom Dungeons & Dragons: Shadow Over Mystara Die Hard: Arcade X-Men (6-player version) TMNT: Turtles in Time Double Dragon 1 and 2 Sengoku 3 Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon Fighting games- Street Fighter II: Hyper Fighting Super Street Fighter II Turbo Street Fighter Alpha 2 Street Fighter Alpha 3 Street Fighter III: New Generation Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike Ultra Street Fighter IV Street Fighter V: Type Arcade Street Fighter EX2 Plus Darkstalkers Night Warriors Vampire Savior Power Stone Spawn: In the Demon's Hand Heavy Metal: Geomatrix Red Earth Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Cyberbots Tech Romancer X-Men: Children of the Atom Marvel Super Heroes Marvel vs Capcom 1 and 2 Capcom vs. SNK 1 and 2 King of Fighters '98 King of Fighters 2002 Virtua Fighter 2 Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown Virtual On Tekken Tag 1 Mortal Kombat 2 Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 Mace: The Dark Ages Shooters- Time Crisis 1 - 3 Virtua Cop 1 - 3 House of the Dead 1 & 2 Brave Firefighters Silent Scope 1 - 3 Aliens: Extermination Aliens: Armageddon Alien: Covenant Terminator: Salvation Racing games- Crusin' USA Cruisin' World Cruisin' Blast Daytona USA 1 and 2 Batman 2013 H2 Overdrive All four Mario Kart GP games Pinball machines- Any game based on a movie license from Stern Pinball -
What's in your action figure collection?
KillerKingBakudan replied to KillerKingBakudan's topic in General Discussion
So I went and got the other two AvP arcade Predators. I was gonna wait for them to ship with the Aliens and the Dutch/Linn two-pack, but since the distributors seem to get their rocks off delaying pre-orders and pissing off customers, I just said "Fuck it" and got these guys at the nearest comic shop that had them. Guess I'll just have to order Chrysalis and Razor Claws separately and grab them as soon as they're out. Anyway, the Predator Warrior looks amazing. The Predator Hunter is.... just okay. I like that the sculpt is based on the City Hunter from Predator 2, but WTF is up with the paint job? It's not nearly as stylized as the other two figures. It's almost like NECA gave up. If it hadn't been for the naginata and the smart gun he comes with, I would have given this a pass and gotten the original City Hunter. Kind of disappointing, since I've played the Hunter almost exclusively since I downloaded the ROM. This set's not bad altogether though. I wish NECA gave them enough articulation so I could recreate this scene from the game. I guess that's as close anyone's gonna get. -

That makes them enemies in my book, and just as fun to kill). - The Predalien from Alien vs Predator (2010) - Mr.X from Resident Evil 2 (remake) - Wesker in Resident Evil 5 - Razor Claws (the xenomorph boss from the Alien vs Predator arcade game)- 30 replies

gaming Favorite video game character?
KillerKingBakudan replied to KawaiiYandere's topic in Media Discussion
Agent 47 from Hitman. As a professional assassin, his kills are always done with class. No matter who the victim is, because the games give the freedom to kill whoever you want. Lol. -
Is it just me, or are they pushing some sort of agenda? When you consistently get such a dramatic difference in scores between critics and everybody else on Rotten Tomatoes, that's how you know something isn't right. Almost every movie I've seen in the last few years has gotten trashed by these people for reasons that are either devoid of any coherence, or just carelessly stupid, because their reputation is supposed to make the general audiences' opinions null and void. I swear, their reviews always make me feel like Rainbow Dash listening to Quibble Pants shitting on the Daring Do books.

What's in your action figure collection?
KillerKingBakudan replied to KillerKingBakudan's topic in General Discussion
Well, NY Toy Fair 2019 just started today. Plenty of good stuff from Storm Collectibles. But I can't say I'm feeling ecstatic because it's not without its share of disappointments. I'll start with the good: We have a finished Iori Yagami: Looking awesome. With him and Rugal coming out, my old N-Groove team from Capcom vs. SNK 2 will be 2/3 complete. From there, it's just a matter of finding the right customizer to build a Rolento. Since we know Storm won't ever make a Rolento figure because "FUCK YOU, that's why!" Yeah, that's just how it feels with every new Street Fighter announcement they make. On the one hand, I've always wanted a good Sagat figure. And they're really delivering on that front. But then we get shit like this: Not trying to knock Cammy fans. I just don't care to see more of her. For fuck sake, I'm tired of these companies making the same characters. What in the world makes Storm think a Juri Han figure won't sell? Why do they think she's even in SFV in the first place? Don't they know she's a fan favorite? Hell, they've actually just announced a new Darkstalkers line on the same day. Don't get me wrong, this is great news. I love Darkstalkers myself. In fact, I'm looking forward to seeing Storm's take on Demitri. Possibly even Jedah. They're two of my favorite villains in all fiction. But really, who remembers anything about this series other than Morrigan and Felicia popping up in Marvel vs. Capcom? They're gonna make figures for some of the most obscure fighting game franchises like this and Samurai Shodown, and yet they can't give us more Street Fighters that originated in post-SFII games? GTFO with that. -
What is the most physical pain you have experienced?

Kidney stones. It's like childbirth for men. It hurts so bad, you can't get out of bed. And nothing short of an IV can get the pain to stop. -
Equestria Girls Kotobukiya Figurines.
KillerKingBakudan replied to Ganondorf8's topic in Merchandise
So the concept to this line is essentially a "What if EQG was in Japan" thing. I guess that's alright. Rainbow Dash with that dark skin certainly feels the most Japanese out of all of them; I think it's a trait they like giving to anime characters with an aura of coolness about them. That suits her perfectly. I don't get why people are whining about it. It's not like she has fat lips or corn rolls to go with the sterotype they're thinking about. And I especially love the gesture that pony Dash is going to have. I might just pick it up on day one. Now if only they were working on Sunset and Trixie..... -

The AvP arcade line doesn't have the standard warrior Alien, so I went and picked up NECA's blue ultimate edition warrior today. -
Your favorite background pony has lost it. Things in her personal life have driven her so far over the edge that she's decided to take a group of innocent ponies hostage in Canterlot. That includes mares, stallions and fillies of all ages. She's holding them captive at the top floor of a famous bell tower in the middle of the city. She's threatening to drop them into a portal that has opened directly beneath the bell, which she claims will send them to limbo. And to make sure no interlopers interfere with her plans, she's used an ancient artifact to create a magical barrier around the perimeter. It's so powerful that not even the strongest alicorn magic can break through it. Once the royal guard, along with hundreds of citizens gather around the building, she holds a speaker up to her muzzle and tells them what she wants in exchange for her prisoners' freedom. If her demands are not met, they will all disappear. And for each hour she has to wait, one pony will be thrown to limbo. Her demands include: 1. Celestia and Luna's resignation. 2. The destruction of the Elements of Harmony. 3. A public admission from Twilight that friendship is bullshit. 4. $20 billion in gold bits. 5. 50 bacon cheeseburgers (yes, with real meat) No pony on the ground understands that last one, so when she goes into detail, almost everyone in the crowd starts throwing up. But since you had a close relationship with this pony, Celestia has elected you to be the negotiator for the situation. What do you say to her?

Anyone Notice Tara Strong Is Very Political?
KillerKingBakudan replied to GXPBlast's topic in General Discussion
You know, I was going to write a detailed response. But after reading THIS, I'm not even going to bother. There's just no point. First of all, I don't HAVE to respect Tara Strong. I don't have to respect anybody who shares her beliefs or defends her actions. And I'm certainly NOT going to respect any political party that uses our media to demonize non-left leaning white men like me on a day to day basis. Understand? I've experienced too much discrimination in California to have any positive thoughts about these people. You're clearly a huge fan of Tara's who will support her no matter what she does. Keep watching and supporting her work if that's your prerogative. But don't think you get to demand that I stop criticizing her. I have a right to. A lot of the garbage that came out of her mouth offends me on a personal level, so I don't care if she did help fund treatment for a child's brain tumor. Knowing her, if that little girl was wearing a hat that said "Make America Great Again", she probably would shut that fundraiser down. Second, I'm not going to waste any more of my time repeating myself or what others have already said about her. There have been plenty of examples with citations given about Tara posted in this thread. If you don't want to read through it all, just look at the most recent one about how she treated that Uber driver. That alone speaks volumes about the kind of person she is. -
Anyone Notice Tara Strong Is Very Political?
KillerKingBakudan replied to GXPBlast's topic in General Discussion
You don't pay much attention to politics, do you? Tara Strong's a perfect example of everything that's wrong with the Democrats. Because: 1. She's uneducated. 2. She's hostile towards everybody who doesn't think like her. Including her fans. 3. She's an SJW. Disagreeing with her on any social issue makes you a racist, sexist, homophobe or some other bigot in her mind. 4. She's a socialist who doesn't give a shit about your constitutional rights. She's a piece of shit. Plain and simple. The sooner Hasbro drops her, the better. -

KillerKingBakudan replied to KillerKingBakudan's topic in General Discussion
So NECA just dropped this photo bomb for their arcade AvP marines on Facebook. And my god... These look so much better than how they were presented at SDCC. Dutch Schaefer looks JUST like how I would have expected him to look if Arnold Schwarzeneegger signed on for a direct movie adaptation of this game back in the nineties (here's a fun fact: the game was intended to be a tie-in for an AvP movie that got canceled; Arnold was supposed to be in it, and yes, he was going to be a cyberized ancestor of the original Dutch from the first Predator movie). And Linn Kurosawa looks a bit more like an anime character now. Her face isn't quite an exact replica of Bengus' artwork, but still a fairly good compromise for a body that's made to look more realistic. -
What's in your action figure collection?
KillerKingBakudan replied to KillerKingBakudan's topic in General Discussion
That's not a bad idea. God knows there are many characters who haven't gotten the attention they deserve from these toy companies. This will definitely give us more to discuss. I guess I'll start with Street Fighter then, because I'm so passionate about it and feel the need to go on a rant. This is my absolute favorite game series of all time, but I have not seen any IP with a worse fandom. I won't get into all the reasons why, but as far as merchandising goes, I just HATE that companies who've acquired the license like NECA, Square-Enix and Storm Collectibles refuse to service anybody except the casual gamers. Street Fighter is a brand with 70 characters; or 90 if you count the EX characters that are owned by Arika. Yet the casuals will only ever support products that focus on the Street Fighter II cast. I'm old enough to remember how revolutionary that game was back in the 16-bit era. I understand why nostalgia would add more value to the original twelve. But goddamn it, there have still been OTHER SF games, each with a wide array of interesting characters who have just as much potential to make good figures. Yes, I know that SOTA went belly up for making too many characters the majority doesn't recognize. But that was a fault in their marketing more than anything. If a character isn't popular, just make enough of them to satisfy all the hardcore fans who WILL buy them. Don't try to match the sales projection you want to meet with all the Ryus, Kens and Akumas that keep getting crapped out. There's no reason why we can't get more characters from the Alpha series. And what about the Final Fight characters? The cast from Street Fighter III? IV? They've barely even tapped into V at all; why is Rashid the only new character that has a figure out right now? I swear, every time I see a new toyline based on a numeric sequel with JUST the original twelve, it feels like a slap in the face. They rarely make anyone else, and when they do, they usually default to Cammy or Sakura. That's bullshit. That said, this is who I want to see from Storm Collectibles. They're doing a bang up job with their SFV figures, but they gotta add more variety than just Alex. Urien and Juri These guys would make one hell of a Urien figure. I never liked him in SFIII where all he wore was a banana hammock, but that pinstripe suit they gave him for SFV elevated him to pimp status. That would be so good to see in plastic. All he would need for accessories are some interchangeable heads and hands, a metallic sphere projectile with a clear stand, and an Aegis Reflector with a clear stand. Play Arts really dropped the ball with their SSFIV license. As a new fan favorite, you'd think they would have included Juri in their 1/6 scale line of figures, but they fucking didn't. So now Storm needs to pick up the slack. In a way, I'm glad nobody made a figure for her yet because her new look in SFV is 10x more appealing than her original appearance. That skintight biker outfit of hers could have a very slick paint job to replicate that leathery texture on the game model. She fights primarily with kicks, so she'd have a lot of wind slashing effects to attach to her legs. There isn't really a need for alternate hands, but an alternate head with an active Feng Shui engine in place of her eyepatch would be dope. -
Tara Strong's just another unhinged, far-left asshole who's been running her mouth off at people that don't agree with her socialist viewpoints. Like many people working in the entertainment industry, if you're not constantly bashing Trump, you're a target to them. I don't want to derail the thread, so I'm just gonna leave this here. Anyway, my niece has been watching the show since she was three. She's six now. I used to play footage taken at con panels around her, and she said she'd like to meet all the Mane Six's voice actors sometime. Well, now I'm gonna have to think of a good excuse for why she can't, because she's too young to understand why the voice of Twilight Sparkle's a bad influence to kids.
