  1. I'll be graduating this Saturday with a bachelor's degree in physics and a minor in chemistry. I'll be heading to grad school in August to work on my Material Optics Masters Degree. Then I hope to get a job involving fiber optics and potentially astronomy.
  2. Of course, and if you want you can remove all the cyborg stuff and the double ears and you'd have her before she became a cyborg. I give you full reign to keep or remove whatever you please from her. Have fun with her. ; )
  3. Yeah, she doesn't have a hair tail like most and it is more like a tube. At the end of the tube it becomes a flower that generates clouds and has vines and whatnot coming off of it. You don't have to draw it though. I know she's an oddball in terms of design.
  4. If you want to give it a shot, then by all means. My OC is rather unconventional, but she's fun to draw (at least for me she is)
  5. Mine was a bit difficult to make because it was hard for each point to be justified or explained unless I reached back quite a bit. It is a bit long winded and I do gloss over a few areas for the sake of not writing a novel of a backstory (Because frankly, Comet is rich with backstory and current story in terms of my world.) I've never really had someone critically rip it apart for criticisms so off we trot shall we? One of my more fleshed out OCs: http://mlpforums.com/page/roleplay-characters/_/comet-cloudburster-r8218
  6. Comet Cloudburster
  7. I'm generally close to being in the belt that doesn't have have an accent, but I do have one after focusing on my speech and realizing the different nuances of it. I have an Ohioan accent (though it isn't perfectly restricted to Ohio nor is it all through Ohio). But here are a few things that I've noticed upon analyzing my speech. I say "Boddle" instead of "Bottle" (T's become D's), "Chriangle (-ch sound like in touch) instead of "Triangle", and then the names of places that have t's in the middle of their names "Canton" and "Dayton" will be pronounced "Can'un" and "Day'un" with a guttoral stop where the "T" should be. So basically, the people around me will say Canton in the same amount of time as someone pronouncing it correctly, but they will not make the "t" sound when saying it. A few personal speech mistakes I have had and some I still have. I say "Mize as well" instead of "Might as well", I thought it was a "Postal digger" not a "Post-Hole digger". I thought it was "Loftily Wedded Wife" not Lawfully Wedded Wife" and I'm sure I'm missing a few more things but beyond that, I have a pretty firm grasp on my language use and accent control.
  8. Norway and Germany are pretty much the two I like. I'd be okay with Ireland and England. Japan would be nifty to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there. So yeah, the countries are listed in my order of interest. Norway is a really beautiful country.
  9. I have three OCs so going through each one: Comet Cloudburster, after 'the incident', would probably not even have the concept of a special somepony other than watching and seeing it happen and thinking it necessary to be more 'pony'. She'd want one of the townsfolk to be her special somepony, but not out of love or that she'd be attracted to them, but purely so she'd feel more 'pony' if she had one. So practically any pony in ponyville would be a potential choice if she stopped hiding from them all. Creator would desire no special somepony in his beginnings on Equestria, but he would gain some affection to only one pony and that would be Comet. He has no desire for any relations in Ponyville as it would blow his clandestine cover. Fantasia (Comet's daughter who I haven't drawn or written really anywhere) would be shy, but she'd go with whichever colt would catch her eye and wouldn't be frightened off by her partially bionically sustained body, only her eyes are slightly off (bionic eyes) Eyn Spyyr would desire only one pony to be his special somepony, Luna. She isn't in Ponyville, but he, being The Prince of the North, had secretly won the heart of Luna before her banishment and it was his 'death' that finally caused the conflict (along with a few other non-canon, in my story arc, devices). If I were to just place him without his story arc, he'd probably still require no special somepony and would find his happiness and joy in teaching various ponies their purposes. So it's hard to say who'd go with who given that 3/4 of my OCs are robot/cyborgs and 1/4 is an alicorn prince specialized in inspiration/illusion magic.
  10. 7-8 is around the area where I learned that sex existed though I knew nothing of the specifics. I was 9-10 when I learned it was how babies were made mostly out of my own reasoning. I remember making a metaphor of a key and a lock to unlock babies. Yeah, that happened and it was relatively accurate. Age 11-12, I remember romping around naked because nudity wasn't an issue with close friends. Their sister was there too and she joined in the fun and at one point she jumped onto me. Just the whole situation was a cause for thought for me. About age 13-14 is when I developed a sex drive. Girls were a thing of beauty and weren't icky anymore etc. etc.
  11. I like weird sub-genres of jazz, like experimental jazz. It is interesting to say the least.
  12. What is snake's favorite lesson? Hisssstory. What is worse than biting into an apple and seeing a half eaten worm? Nuclear War The rest I have are generally dirty so I won't post them. You get a pun and an anti-joke.
  13. If you want a game not overly known you can try Off by Mortis Ghost. It is very interesting, philosophical (a bit), and it is free. http://offgame.wikia.com/wiki/Downloads
  14. Creator- though he isn't a pony (his organic section isn't, he is still functioning in a robotic pony suit that he created. He is an sent as an infiltrator into Equestria to understand their culture and ultimately subvert it and exploit its weaknesses so that the empire he serves may enslave it easier. He too has a complicated back story that would take too long to write, but this only asks for pictures so a generally brief description of him should be good enough. Comet Cloudburster- She was not always referred to by that name in her lifetime. Her first name was actually just the designation number from her containment tank in Creator's lab C.0.M3.T, but as with most scientists, Creator 'lovingly' referred to his pet project as Comet. Her last name is of course her purpose. She was rebuilt to destroy her homeland, Cloudsdale, the city of clouds. She wears a green scarf to hide the branding on her neck as she became property of The Consortium. She used to go by the name of Dream Weaver, a pegasus who had the innate ability to influence the dreams of those around her. Upon the infighting caused between Luna and Celestia, she was one of the many to try and flee from the destruction wrought by their fighting. Having her wing damaged during the panic, she set out on hoof through the Everfree, where a troll happened upon her. Like a cat, he played with her by beating her and throwing her which he referred to as "Tenderizing the meat before we eat." She managed to slightly outrun the troll, but because of her injuries he caught up, but she had inadvertently managed to stumble into the perimeter of Creator's base. Creator wanted a live specimen of the dominant species and went out to 'harvest' her. He scared the troll away and went to gather up Dream only to find her on the brink of death. She smiled at him and thanked him for saving her, for being her hero before she passed. She was rebuilt as a cyborg and a weapon against her own people. Though there is more to the story.
  15. Idle games, checking facebook/email/etc, browse forums *cough*, and draw tend to be my primary time wasters. EDIT: And because it caught my eye scrolling up, I do waste my time playing League of Legends and Don't Starve quite often.
  16. If you want something a tad more difficult to draw then you can try either of mine. Creator Basic things to know, his entire body is a robot. His horn has three segments, one attached and two floating. He doesn't have a mane. It is replaced with plant vines (He is a plant being controlling a robotic pony suit he invented. Take any and all creative liberties if you try to draw him. I don't mind if you just make him a standard pony either. That would be interesting to see. Other than that, all details are shown in the picture below. Comet Cloudburster She's also a bit complicated, but most of her is standard pony design. She has dual ears, metal plating and bionic eyes. She always wears her green scarf. The whiskers at her ears are antenna for communication and used for reading pressure, wind, humidity etc. She isn't a robot, but she is a cyborg. Her tail is not hair and is instead a cloud generator (and something a bit more sinister, but would be irrelevant here) It is based off of a lotus flower. The tail can increase and decrease in size as Comet requires it. Other than that, again, you have creative liberty with her. Do as much changing as you want to her. You could even make her a standard pony (before becoming a cyborg, I don't mind. They are a bit on the unconventional side, but it would be interesting to see what you could manage. If not, that is completely understandable. Just tossing ideas at you that are a bit out of the box.
  17. 1) I cannot connect to anyone on an emotional level, simply, I lack any sort of empathy. This doesn't mean I don't have emotions, just, if you need someone to comfort you, I am not your man. I will stand there and stare at you blankly. Most of my "emotional responses" to things that I would need to understand how they are feeling are copied from various movies I've watched and by just watching people in general. 2) Sort of ties in with 1, I only look at the world with rational eyes and mind. I find emotions irrational and I can't understand them so when I am forced to figure them out, they annoy me. I demand evidence for practically any bold claim and I expect nothing less of a peer reviewed journal, which I will read with great scrutiny. I firmly accept the objective and I play around with subjective ideas for fun. 3) Sort of ties in with 2. I am exceptionally stubborn and a ruthless debater. A few years ago I dabbled with psychology and learned how to play those who I was debating to get angry at me and lose their cool resulting in my victory. Before that, I was more subtle with my attacks and focused more on finding ways of making you contradict yourself. Now, I am far more plain. I provide peer reviewed journals to support my ideas and I wait for a counter journal to be given to me. 4) I'm hyper critical of myself in everything that I do. I will also downplay any of my achievements. Given my relatively lengthy detailed memory, I tend to replay the mistakes I've made in my life over and over again to remind myself to never do it again. It's a bit tormenting and makes sitting alone in a quiet room with just my thoughts a bit of a downer, but it goes away. 5) I'm long-winded. Most replies that I give on any forum tend to be relatively long usually because I explain everything and I have complicated opinions on subjects. I call it worthwhile posts, but I'm just long-winded. 6) I can't stand willfully ignorant people. It bothers me to no end that people just believe a picture of some famous person with some text on it and think that they said it. They do zero research into it. They just instantly believe it. The same goes with articles and blog posts. Like, if it was written on the Internet, then it must be true. 7) I get unmotivated quite easily. Despite this, I tend to not stop once I get started on a large project. 8) I'm always tired. It doesn't matter how much I sleep, I'll be tired throughout the day. This is mostly due to my bad sleeping habits. 9) I suffer from a relatively severe degree of social anxiety. It has actually become so bad that I had to go to the doctor's office to get medication so that I could talk to people. I'm fine with people I already know, but talking to people of authority or someone I don't know is a task that I have to push myself into it. 10) I do have a temper though it is rarely seen. It only surfaces if just the right amount of events have gone wrong and I didn't sleep well (since I sleep so badly anyway). I am not pleasant when it snaps. I'm not physical in any respect. I would never hit anyone when I get mad. I instead go to somewhere a bit more damaging. I attack you mentally. I can say that when I snapped at my brother he hated me for 3 weeks and was depressed. I talked to him about it recently and he said that there was never a moment in his life where he wanted to punch me in the face more than that night. After that night, I wanted to do the same to myself after I replayed it in my head. We are all good now, no worries. It was years ago.
  18. I am generally interested in how Scott will be tackling this game and where the story will go since I felt the story ended quite comfortably in FNAF 3. As others have said, I hope nothing is retconned from the previous games, but I doubt Scott would do that since he still has a rich breeding ground to establish something from. I would hope that the longer development time would allow for plenty of innovation in gameplay and design despite Scott still being a one man team. Count me skeptically interested in it.
  19. What furry artists do you follow? I really only follow and keep up with Slugbox. Awesome guy who I used as the basis of learning how to do digital art. He taught me a lot just by watching his livestreams and I have to give plenty of credit there. He is who inspired me to shoot for digital art over pen work. What furry series do you follow? I only follow TwoKinds. It is one of the best and Tom's art style has improved significantly over the years. Also, I was actually a fan of it before I started watching Markiplier. I can tell you, I couldn't piece together Tom Fischbach and Mark Fischbach were brothers until Mark explicitly mentioned it. Guess how stupid I felt? What's your favorite type of furry? Hands down? Otters. Otters will win me over every single time no questions asked. Do you like when non-anthropomorphic characters are turned into furries? Depends. Most of the time I don't mind. It just depends on the execution of the artist. What is your opinion on the notion that bronies and furries are one and the same? I would say bronies are a subset of the general term of furries. We are fans of non-human characters who are ponies. How would it be different from a furry who likes horses other than that the equine came from the cartoon show MLP:FiM? Brony is just a sub-genre of it all. What do you think of anthropomorphic versions of MLP characters? Depends again. Most of the time I don't mind it as it purely depends on the execution of the artist. Sometimes I like it, other times I am indifferent to it. I can say I'm not against it. Some of the artwork is really impressive and quite the creative way of reinterpreting the characters.
  20. Harold Genhi is my pen name and artist name so that people can't find out my real name (It isn't hard to be honest to find it somewhere... I used to be pretty open about it, but I've been separating the two more heavily and switching a lot around to make sure that I and Harold are between a wall. So tracing its origins back. It is my username here but is from my artist name which is from my pen name, which is from my username from another website, which is from my username from another forum, which is from my Skyrim character name, which is from my Oblivion character name, which is from Star Wars Battlefront II character name, which is from my Runescape days, which leads to the first time I made the name. It was my first name I used for a character in Halo 2. My brother had Delta960 so I wanted a name that didn't have numbers in it and looked like a name because whatever. So of being of Norwegian descent, I had heard a few things from my dad who was Norwegian (he lived there, I was born in the US and lived here my entire life, but I still knew more about Norway than the common bear). So I had heard of the king of Norway, Harald V of Norway. Of course, I heard it said as Harold. And there we have the origin of the first part, but for it to be a username anywhere, it would have to use numbers so I had to be crafty with the second half. (As crafty as a young boy could be at that age). It was to be my character that I used for everything. It was to be a genesis and new. So the plain and simple Genhi is just me jamming Genesis and Hi (greeting) together to create Genhi. And that is how Harold Genhi was born.
  21. Rishloo has been pretty big for me in regards to the Progressive Rock scene. They are by my favorite band and have multiple songs in my favorite song list.
  22. Revised Top Anime Series List: 1) Steins;Gate 2) Attack on Titan 3) Fate/Zero 4) The Irregular at Magic High School 5) The Legend of Legendary Heroes 6) Cowboy Bebop 7) Kill la Kill 8) Trigun 9) Death Note 10) Tokyo Ghoul Honorable Mentions: Monster(even though I haven't seen all of it), Gurren Lagann, and Corpse Party What I haven't watched in all of its entirety to form a good opinion on and include on the list: Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood, Naruto, Bleach, Fairy Tail, Fate/Stay, Hellsing, Eureka Seven, Ghost in the Shell, Evangelion. Not factored into the list: Avatar the Last Air Bender, Legend of Korra, and DBZ My list never stays the same, but I'd be hard-pressed to find an anime that could beat Steins;Gate for me.
  23. What FNAF did was make you vulnerable by forcing you to be stationary and practically blind with only the use of your cameras to keep track of the things that want to kill you. What this does is generate a tense atmosphere as you dread what is inevitably coming to get you. The game has atmosphere to it that builds tension that makes the jump scare that much more powerful. But the thing is, the game did what it set out to do effectively and simply. It is a cheap game with simple controls that can give you a few hours of scare and eventually just a game of you mastering the pattern and getting sweet victory. Is it overrated? Quite a bit, but does that mean that it is bad? No. It has a pretty interesting story to it, which is what got me hooked and everything was just about trying to figure out all the game's subtle hints as to what is really going on. Stories told in the background that you aren't a part of is a refreshing angle for me so that is why I enjoyed the games.
  24. I want to make a space time crack in the universe combining two dimensions of reality together. That'd be pretty fun to do before I die.
  25. When I am in school, I get about 5-6 hours of sleep. When I am on vacation, I sleep about 7-9 hours. Since most of the time I am in school or working on my own research my normal sleep schedule sits at 5-6 hours.
