  1. Starlights voice sounds exactly like Vanessa from The Little Mermaid to me. Plus I love it when she is bad!
  2. HWE episodes have felt off to me every season. All of a sudden it's the middle of winter in ponyville. And couldn't get farther from the holidays in the US, so it really feels out of place. They're always the best lessons though.
  3. I really like Starlight and Trixie together as friends. They actually go together very well considering their pasts. Plus they BOTH still exhibit resistance to being Twilight-esque squeaky clean do gooder Mary sue perfect. I get the feeling that not only can they not ever hope to achieve that, but they also just don't want to. I can respect both Starlight and Trixie for learning a lesson, but still representing who THEY really are. Which is imperfect and yet perfectly okay. I think Trixies character was spot on. Even schemers may want a friend. No problem with that. I liked the interactions between them, very realistic for two young girls who are just beginning to get to know each other.
  4. Has anybody beat this game? I'm at level 54, have all the mane 6, activated all of the harmony stones, beat Tirek, completed tree of harmony mini game, plus who knows what else but the game won't progress to the nightmare moon scenario. I've seen in a game wiki that alot of quests are not skipping, like uncover 45 expansion zones or something like that and some of them are 50,000 bits each? Some quests require 350 gems? Has anyone beat this game and how the heck did you get enough money and gems!?
  5. This is just my opinion but this episode was awful. Predictable, with flat jokes, unimaginative weak action, and characterization that wasn't cohesive from scene to scene. Ugh. I could never see that one again and be better off. It was definitely written for boys, which there's nothing wrong with that, I love action and fights and stuff more than any other chick I know, but it was just so weak I could barely finish it.
  6. I was thinking the exact same thing. This does not feel like ponies to me. It's kind of terrible.
  7. I heart Rarity so much more after this episode. Even though it's hard not to love her more than anything. Love love love love love love.
  8. Yup. Rarity's penchant for flair and dramatic over reactions was perfect for this in every way.
  9. Absolutely. That's one of the lesser touched on lessons I've seen throughout the series. They do hit on it during the hearth warming episodes but that's pretty much it.
  10. I must say I was totally expecting Pinkie's gift from Maud to be a new and better party cannon, and then Pinkie would get rewarded for her sacrifice without Maud ever knowing the truth. But the way it played out was better for character development for Maud and Rarity both, so I'm happy with it!
  11. Awww what a sweet episode. I love how Rarity was so willing and dedicated to finding a solution to this conflict, no matter how silly it may sound. She knows it's not silly to Pinkie, and Rarity makes it her priority as well. Simply great episode with a good double moral: kudos to Maud for pointing out the true meaning of gift giving, and kudos to Rarity for being so dedicated to both of her friends. Maud really showed through and impressed me in this episode. I didn't expect her to demand Pinkie's cannon back. She is so full of love for her sister, it's amazing to see. Makes me jealous to be honest.
  12. Didn't like her before, cuz she was a convincing villian. Don't like her now because it's out of place for her to be jammed into the main character line up. Of all freaking ponies to become a student of twilight's they picked HER? WTF. And on that note, how is it that Twilight is going to take it upon the herself to just decide to become a teacher of alicorn magic without consulting Celestia or there being a big deal made out of it? How is it that Trixie is not the one to become her student as she has WAY more potential? And if Twilight is going to train up a Princess, why not choose Rarity? I just don't like the whole concept for Twilight to have a pupil, or even be a princess for that matter. But i digress. The only thing that I would respect about the choice to use Starlight is if throughout her teachings she finds ways to cheat or cut corners or something as I would expect someone of her caliber to do. She's too similar to Twilight for me in design to enjoy looking at her.
  13. Well that was cheesier than a 5 cheese ziti but I guess to welcome a new royal foal it was going to have to be. I'll be glad to see regular non-epic episodes as we progress.
  14. Twilight started as a unicorn. Now Starlight is training in the ways of alicorn magic from a princess, and just like Twilight did. Just alot of similarities. Maybe alot of coincidences. Or maybe there's more storyline to unfold over time. Like they're siblings? Just speculating.
  15. Starlight and Twilight look alot alike. Both purple, both have a stripe in their mane, both unicorns. Both names mean pretty much the same thing. Hmmmmm.
  16. Right now my favorite car is the one I'm driving, an Infiniti G35. I like it's design.
  17. Oh man so many things. If I had to pick a couple, I'd say I have always wanted to learn to fluently speak Spanish. That's probably the number one thing. I can play piano but I've always wanted to be a tremendous talent but I've given up on that. After 30 years, I'm not getting any better at it than I am now.
  18. It does not bother me so much at home where I dont do much net research. But when I'm at work, where there's no ad blocking or special applications or actual work to keep me off the Internet, ya I get so irritated. Alot of things about the Internet irritate me haha
  19. I think I can order to help get the humanity part over to the kid audience it looks like they gave the ponies human life expectations, so to me, the foals are adolescents, most of the other ponies are late teens-early 20s, cadence is maybe upper 20s and Celestia seems like 40s. And granny smith ya she's counting down the days.
  20. I played soccer, which I was kinda good at. I tried softball and that was a miserable failure. Then I was a cheerleader and excelled at that.
  21. I like Angel. He's a little rascal and can really escalate a situation. I like that about him.
