  1. Being an over-privileged white guy, it would probably take me at least a week to starve to death. As much as I would hate to drown I suppose that's the one I would pick.
  2. I am usually a follower, I lack the dominant personality and 100% confidence required to give orders. Many attempts I've made to lead end up with me offending someone or being completely brought down by someone more dominant. In emergency situations or times where I feel I am by far the most competent person to do so. When I do lead my personality definitely changes to something a lot more stern and I will not suffer fools. If I refuse to follow then chances are I'll break off to go solo.
  3. This is unfortunately true, seagulls can have a very aggressive side and have been known to attack and kill small pets. Never feed the seagulls and always keep your rubbish in a hard, impenetrable bin.
  4. The worlds worst and most evil, although safely tied up, serial rapist. This is so I feel absolutely no guilt when I have to use them as a cushion when the craft hits the ground or (if it's a water crash) use their bloated corpse as a flotation device.
  5. An early celebration of All Hallows Eve descends upon his homestead as deep in the kitchen of number 4, Biggybrony carves his pumpkins. He carves them in dark admiration of the toxic spirits that visited his Gameboy Colour back in the year 2000(ish). He of course refers to the deathly family of ghost-types that haunted the first generation of Pokémon games Gastly, Haunter and Gengar, representing the nocturnal hell he sent to do battle with his rival Gary (except he didn't know you had to trade Haunter to evolve him so he was sent out looking quite sheepish in the face of that Alakazam.) Fillies and gentlecolts, I give you... The Pokemon ghost pumpkins!
  6. F**K NO!!! There is no way in hell I'm putting up with that again. It wasn't even that bad for me but as soon as I left and moved on, gained my independence, gained my disposable income and the school psychology is out of my adult life forever it opened my eyes to how much better my quality of life became. Also now my GCSEs (british qualification earned at 16), which they were convinced were the most important thing there ever will be, have gone out of date (yes, they can really do that, apparently) it just confirmed to me how useless I thought they were and are. A total waste of time.
  7. I imagine she had her new noise cancelling headphones on too loud and the new Avenged Sevenfold album was out.
  8. Vaguely, yeah. The problem with the news is that I never catch it at soon as it happens so when I do hear about an event they assume you already know about it and talk about the details without re-stating what the big picture is. I get left completely confused and out of the loop with no context.
  9. Just started reading 'The Rule Of Claw' by John Brindley. I'd never heard of it before but it had a strange premise so I picked it up. It's a strange one. There's quite a heavy 'Lord Of The Flies' vibe (which I hated in school by the way) but with a few more fantastical elements. Children living in a deserted surf resort fighting a city of feathered raptor people anyone?
  10. Snake Eater I think is the game where stealth is the most important to the gameplay. It was required because you didn't have a radar and lacked all the super advance gadgetry that Otacon was pulling out of his ass in 4. The techniques you learned like knocking on walls, hanging, etc actually needed to be used. It's still a bit of a cop out to have the tranquiliser gun, it makes things too easy. The story wasn't overly contrived (although admittedly I didn't understand it at the time) like the deep end they jumped off in 2 and 4. After that my favourite was MGS 1, before the added mechanics and story became too much.
  11. The problem with my town is that it does 2 or 3 things really well, acoustic singer songwriters doing Oasis songs, Agatha Christie tributes and pubs with karaoke and football. If you like anime, heavy metal, film, jazz, history, tabletop RPGs, surfing, cookery, reading or any form of alternative culture then you might as well bugger off. If you like getting drunk, yelling at people and competing to see who can be the towns stupidist tosspot then you're right at home.

Basically there's no 'scene' for anything. There are no alternative circuits. If you have any interests at all other than the most mainstream of culture then you have to take a trip to the city to feed it properly. It's basically why I have so few friends because people who share my interests have nowhere to go.

Exactly! !! I know the feels hun I'm in the same boat ... my nearest City is an hour by train away and if you don't want to go out and get pissed every weekend and like blasting out clubbing music in your chavvy modified hatchback or getting your nails done and talking about boys then your frownedupon as a person!

  12. My guitars. Basically, as far as I can tell, my guitar ability is the main thing that makes me feel like I'm worth a damn. Now I have so many guitars, many of which I have love split between so losing one or two wouldn't be that tragic but if I found myself with none then I might as well be dead.
  13. Depends on the superweapon. If you really wanted to I guess you could step outside for a cheeky cigarette but in the aftermath of a nuclear war you might find you've come back to the bunker with giant pink tentacles instead of a liver. How come all mechanical pencils suck?
  14. Because it's easier than picking things up with their ears.
  15. There have been some less than steller episodes but in general I'm happy with this season. Saying that I'm not especially critical when it comes to movies and tv shows.
  16. Just so you know, I totally would've cried at this weeks episode if I didn't find your thread and spoiled it.
  17. The musical term, as well as it's other dictionary definitions, is spelt 'Cadence'

  19. This guitar. http://c1.zzounds.com/media/fit,420by666/quality,85/1_Full_Straight_Front_NA-109bd59c4b7e7ba388d2eafd2ed054d5.jpg I found it the Manson's Guitar Show in Exeter, UK. It was beautiful and I had to have it.
  20. Shining Armour would make a good effort but Big Mac would be so shy and quiet that eventually the awkwardness would be too much and he'll leave.
  21. 'Jaws' by Peter Benchly. Yep, the one the historic Spielberg movie was based on. I haven't seen the movie so it's mostly all new to me. When it's describing a shark attack it actually makes me feel genuinely tense. Well done Pete. However I'm about halfway through and it's getting into middle-aged marriage drama which caught me off guard.
