  1. I'm okay with this, except that they are probably going to have to stop work on the show AGAIN to get this film up and running, just like they did with the second one. I liked both films, and the show seems to be going through a bit of a Renaissance in terms of quality, IMHO, nowhere near pre movie, but still a lot better than it has been recently. I'm just worried that if they halt production again, that increase in quality may dissapear when they get back.
  2. It'll take some time. She just became reformed, and we haven't seen enough of her post reformation yet. So, once we have seen more of her post reformation, I'll probably slowly forgive her. But those 4 and a half seasons won't just go away in an instant. This isn't like Discord or Trixie, where they had one appearance, then their reformation stories. DT has been a recurring character since season one, and we've seen quite a bit of her old self. So, like I said, it'll be more of a process than an instantaneous thing, at least for me.
  3. I'm pretty sure the only real difference is that they're from the 93 laserdiscs, meaning that they have a lot of DNR (Digital Noise Reduction), which removes some picture detail. But that's only a video quality thing. Content wise, they are the exact same movies as were released theatrically.
  4. I really liked this episode. It was really cool to see Pinkie's family, with names, personalities and such. Plus, it's always great to see Maud. There were a lot of good comedy moments, with the families playing off each other, and also a lot of sweet moments, with the families finally bonding at the end. Overall, I'd give it a 9.5/10
  5. In that case, you'll probably want to pick up the 2006 DVDs (they say Limited Edition at the top). The second disc for each has the theatrical version as a special feature. It's taken from the Laserdisc, though, so not exactly the best quality, but it's the best you'll get if you want the unaltered versions, unfortunately. They're out of print, so you probably won't find them in stores. They are, however on Amazon.
  6. I'm seeing it on the 18th. When I preordered my tickets, I was able to see how many had been sold, because my local theater does reserved seating, and the ones that had been sold were greyed out. And, even in a 5:00 PM 2D showing, it was still mostly sold out. Luckily, there were still enough seats, and the place that I like to sit wasn't taken. I got 4 tickets, one for me, one for my brother, and two for my friends. Im so excited! Star Wars has been a big part of my life since I was about 6, and I have wanted this movie to exist since then. And now it does! Just gotta wait 2 more months...
  7. Honestly, there wasn't enough story in Crusaders of the Lost Mark to warrant 2 parts. Sure, the episode was very fast paced, but if you were to slow it down to typical pace, you'd probably have about 1 and a half episodes. Which means that, if you put it in 2 parts, it would make it too slow paced, because it would be dragged out.
  8. I can't stand this trend. If you want to have unlockables that we pay for, I'm okay with that. But don't make it so that the game is practically unplayable without them, effectively making a "free game" one of the most expensive games you have. Paid items should be aesthetics or slight enhancements that don't effect how you play vs. other players. Now granted, I play TF2, which is kinda freemium nowadays, but I don't feel like my experience is any less because I barely, if ever, buy anything for it. Sure, I could advance a bit faster, but that's what trading is for. But I don't feel like I am getting less out of it than those who pay incredible amounts on this stuff. And that, quite frankly, is how it should be.
  9. I think that her voice would be absolutely horrendous for singing. Plus, I don't think we'll even SEE Babs again personally, not that I don't want to, I just don't see it happening. The writers seem to have forgotten her.
  10. I voted for Tirek. To me, he had a really great presence, both when he was weak, and when he gained strength later on. When he was weak, he was sly and manipulative, and when he gained strength, he gave off a sense that he was a force of nature. And the best part is, the episode slowly builds up to this, making it seem natural.
  11. My personal favorite would probably be Super Paper Mario. It's a pretty underrated little gem. I really like the mixture between RPG elements and platforming. Plus, it had a pretty decent plot. Probably my second favorite would be Super Mario World. In my opinion, it is the best traditional 2D Mario game ever.
  12. This was a pretty good epiosde, in my opinion. It had a lot of good comedy moments, and we finally find out that Cadence and Shining Armor are having a baby. Also, this season has had amazing facial animation, and this one didn't dissappoint in that department. Seriously, some of the expressions Pinkie was making were priceless! Overall, I'd probably give it a 9/10.
  13. The songs on this show are so good, that after repeat listens, they seem to just stick. Sometimes, a song sticks so much that you unintentionally memorize the lyrics. At least that's what seems to happen with me? Anybody experience this? And if so, what songs do you have memorized?
  14. Just re watched this one, and I still laugh out loud at "Dear Princess Celestia, I wanted to share my thoughts with you: I didn't learn anything!" Even outside of that, this is a pretty good episode. The Flim Flam Brothers are pretty good villains, if a bit cliché. I felt really bad for Rainbow Dash though, especially when she literally had the cider flung out of her hooves.
  15. Well, if you you don't care about special features like you said, and if you aren't too tied to physical media, I'd recommend just getting the episodes on iTunes and or/streaming them from Netflix, assuming you only want official releases. The DVDs are of very poor video quality, even for DVD.
  16. I'm honestly curious as to how well the Blu-Rays of EQG have been selling. Considering that many people buy the show digitally (for the better quality), I imagine many people wouldn't want to go to the effort to have the films in an entirely different format. Plus, as I said earlier in this thread, not many people have Blu-Ray players, even in 2015.
  17. Honestly, I'm not really looking forward to either. I'm not all that into COD (although Zombies does look a tad interesting) and, as much as I love Star Wars, I have little to no interest in Battlefront at this point. It is so watered down from the first two it's not even funny. Seriously, I don't think there has ever been one bit of GOOD news about the game, everything we've heard about is stuff that ISN'T going to be in the game.
  18. Definitely Discord. Gotta love John de Lancie.
  19. Why you do this? Why? I'm on the verge of tears right now!! That has to be one of the saddest things ever. Just... oh Celestia, I think I need to sit down.
  20. Probably because it's easy to make and very popular with the current generation. Personally, I find electronic music to be a mixed bag. By that I mean that there is as much good electronic music as there is bad. I find most of the MLP related electronic music to be decent, and there are a few excellent songs.
  21. I don't see why not. On the other hand, Prince Blueblood isn't an alicorn, and neither is Shining Armor, who is also technically a prince. But I'm sure that if there was somepony worthy enough (so not Blueblood), they would become an Alicorn. Quite frankly, I'm surprised Shining Armor isn't one yet.
  22. I hope it happens someday, but I doubt it. I've been noticing a trend of less and less things being released on Blu-Ray. This is probably because, unfortunately, the average consumer doesn't have a Blu-Ray player, they either stream their media, or get DVDs. And even then, the market for DVDs is declining. I wouldn't be surprised if physical media dies within the next 10or so years. Sad really, I like having physical movies and TV shows.
  23. My ranking would probably be: 1. Luna 2. Twilight 3. Cadance 4. Celestia I like all of them though, so don't think I hate Celestia.
  24. I've wondered this since I first saw the film. I always figured that she had taken other trips back to Equestria, and was relatively caught up on what was going on. This was just the first time anypony caught her. That or it's a plot hole that they didn't bother trying to fix before finalizing the movie. Probably the latter. Wouldn't surprise me, my main issue with the first film is its lack of polish, both in the animation and in story.
  25. Some of my Favorites, in no particular order, would be: The Goof Off (for its sheer lunacy) Celestia's Ballad A True True Friend This Day Aria You'll Play Your Part Just to name a few. I love pretty much most of the songs on the show.
