  1. Thanks for the welcome! I'm sure my stay here will be wonderful.
  2. You should! Learning to play an instrument is an immeasurably rewarding experience. Also, Derpy's freaking awesome.
  3. For the most part, I prefer to be alone in the evenings. I meditate a considerable amount, read, drink tea, and engage in other hobbies, so that all takes up that time. On the occasions I'd rather not be alone, I just have a chat with a friend or a few while we hang out together.
  4. I was showering about ten minutes ago. Now, I'll be off to brew some tea.
  5. Thank you very much! To answer your question, I am indeed! I've only played piano for the past decade or so, but I'd love to learn to play the cello one day. It's an absolutely lovely instrument. In turn, I'll ask, who's your favourite pony?

    Hello!

Hey MindPalace and welcome to the forum! I'm Kadae and I like tea, Octavia and a few other things too. I hope to see your posts around here and that your stay is an enjoyable one!
  7. I'd like it to be a mug or a book, but those are simply representations of things I like rather than specific talents of mine. Honestly, I'm not sure I've figured out what my special talent worthy of branding on my hypothetical flank is just yet.
  8. Any job that'd allow me to be nearer to Octavia is a good enough job for me. If not that, then I think tea salespony or librarian would be pretty enjoyable.
  9. I'd say the same for myself as well. There's probably a couple nutty ponies like the many fan interpretations of Lyra that'd at least be open to a friendship. Given enough time, you could build trust within a small community. If a chaotic individual like Discord can manage it, I'm sure a decently friendly human could also.
  10. I have to vote "neither" simply because my decision between those two options would be very circumstantial. For instance, I'd never want to turn into a pony with no hope of changing back for two simple reasons. Firstly, it's unpredictable. I have no clue how it feels to be a pony, and with that in mind, I can't know if it's a feeling I'd particularly like. I've never had hooves, a tail, a snout, and many of the other physical attributes of the ponies of the show. That would probably mean it would take a fair amount of time to get used to walking with four legs, holding things with hooves and the like, and I’m not even sure if that sort of intuitive coordination can be learned as an adult. Secondly, I think I’d miss being a human. My friends are human, my family is human, my memories are of human origin, and on top of that, fingers are just way too awesome. I don’t really want to go to the trouble of learning how to play the piano all over again with hooves. That being said, if I got to try the whole being-a-pony-forever thing for a day beforehand, there’s the possibility I might change my mind, although I doubt I would. If, however, I was offered the ability to transform into a pony and back at will, I’d totally be up for that! Now, on to the other option. I’m not a pet person, so “having” a pony play that sort of role wouldn’t be something I’d be comfortable with. I don’t consider myself capable of caring for a pet to the extent it needs to be cared for, so having a pony in that sense wouldn’t really suit me. If we’re just talking about having a pony companion, that’d actually be pretty darn cool though. There are more factors I’d be considering than just these few in the scenario I’d be making this decision, but in the end, if I was forced to decide between only the first two options, I’d probably go with having a pony. Although, since there’s a “neither” option, I’m going with that just to be safe.
  11. I wouldn't mind a little bit of cold weather right about now. The extreme heat over here is absolutely nuts!
  12. Thank you for the warm welcome!

  14. Edit: This post has been removed.
  15. I love celery, so my friends generally find that to be a little odd. Other than that, nothing I eat regularly is all too strange.
  16. The new year's been here for about fourteen hours in Australia. Greetings from the future! Anyway, I think my biggest accomplishment of 2015 is that I'm able to look back without regret. It's a wonderful feeling, I've gotta say.
  17. I'm thinking about how thunderstorms look really neat from the viewpoint of a satellite.
  18. I can always remember useless information, but when it comes to something tedious like remembering to do my dishes or laundry, I seem to consistently forget. Why, Brain? Why?
  19. Hey there and HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone, I'm Kadae! It's a pleasure meeting you all! I'm going to go brew some tea. Edit: A portion of this post has been removed.
