  1. There's less than 40 minutes left and the hype is just too strong for me! I honestly can't wait to see how this "forbidden friendship" between Spike and the Changeling will unfold And for that matter, I'm also avoiding the preview like the plague. I want the whole episode to be a surprise for me, and I've already had a few bits revealed to me through the Discovery Family adverts for the new episodes.
  2. G3 and G3.5 based on what I've seen and/or heard from other people. And don't even get me started on the ones with the babies... As the matter of fact, I think G3, G3.5 and the Newborn "Cuties" are so horrible that it stained the franchise as a whole and led many to believe MLP is universally a "girly show for little girls" (which even pissed Lauren off when someone asked her a question that referred to non-target audience MLP:FiM fans as "sexually repressed manchildren"). No wonder MLP fans are getting bullied over simply liking it.
  3. I must say I enjoyed the one with Spike and Celestia I loved the one with the sewing machine cake and the whoopee cushion, too. Even if Applejack says the latter is a joke shortcut.
  4. Eh, I give it a 7/10. In my opinion, Rainbow felt rather OOC and, like some of the other people here, I think the episode belongs in season 1 or 2 more than season 6 especially since Rainbow should've/has changed by now; after all, she went all out on pranking other ponies for no reason other than laughs in this episode and I'm pretty sure she had at least a bit of character development from a show-off to a caring and loyal friend during the course of 5-6 seasons. The "zombie apocalypse" was definitely predictable as a prank, though I have this feeling that the writer(s) intended this (the synopsis mentions ponies "giving Rainbow Dash a taste of her of medicine", and there are hints of the "apocalypse" being a prank). I expected the episode to be MMDW 2.0, though to be honest, they handled the "RD takes it too far" situation much better here than in MMDW; in MMDW the Remane 5 tried to teach RD about her bragging by being a bigger show-off than her (and also bragging about how great MMDW is... see the problem?), whereas here every Ponyville resident simply turned one of RD's pranks against her so she could see what it feels like to be pranked in a way you don't find funny. In overall, it was an okay episode. It could've done much better than it did, but it's not bad like MMDW was.
  5. The episode was good. AJ, RD and Rarity were a bit... obstructive when it comes to building carts for the CMC, although it pays off. They went on designing the carts the way they wanted rather than letting the CMC design them (with the three older ponies' help), but in the end their actions led to consequences which allowed the three ponies to acknowledge their mistakes and let the CMC get the carts they wanted. It teaches a good moral where adults are not as perfect/right as children may think them to be and are capable of making mistakes. Although I think AJ, RD and Rarity may be a tad bit "out of character" when building carts, my own conclusion is that they got too caught up in their own memories/wants and failed to regard the respective fillies' wishes. Hell, I think Rarity had even more reason since she got a 2nd place ribbon on creativity and was therefore determined to get 1st place this time around (and a bit too much at that). This is all my own opinion though
  6. I couldn't agree with you more. Throughout my life, I've watched cartoons a lot, and I still watch them from time to time. While I've watched them mostly for enjoyment, I also subconsciously earned experience on stories and characters even if I wasn't paying much attention to them. I usually like cartoons for what they are (and this includes shows like Teen Titans Go, though TTG still has numerous flaws), but even then there were things I saw that just make me wish people would be more aware of what they're doing (or at least care about it) when it comes to the plot, morals etc. Like you said, when people use the "it's for kids" excuse to "justify" all the flaws their shows have, they're essentially insulting the kids' intelligence by implying they're too stupid to notice or care about anything, and these people also fail to take into account that it's almost never just the kids that will be watching. And this isn't limited to shows; things like dubs and other media are just as affected, and alas my own country, Croatia, that dubbed MLP:FiM is (quite possibly) guilty of this. The Croatian dub did a very sloppy and horrible job of dubbing the show (also taking lyrics and sometimes audio itself from one of the Serbian dubs) and gave most characters rather corny names, and I assume their reason for this is "it's for kids and they won't notice". These people really need to be taught that the "it's for kids/little girls" excuse doesn't justify their flaws and/or make them go away.
  7. I personally haven't thought about a possible religion in Equestria. From what I gather from the show though, not counting the "Sweet Celestia" exclamations and such, I highly doubt ponies possess some sort of creed since I have yet to see at least one thing pertaining to it like a church or a religious talk. But then again, religion isn't something that's often talked about in kids' cartoons (it's rarely or never brought up if I'm not mistaken), so religion might exist in Equestria as an off-screen thing. If religion really is a thing in Equestria, then one theory of mine is that there's an equivalent to Heaven for righteous souls (and Hell for bad ones) where the deceased depart with the guidance of a great entity that may or may not be Celestia herself. Another, less likely theory of mine would be reincarnation; basically, ponies (or even any Equestrian creature) who pass are reborn as another living being later on so they can continue "living" on the planet and experiencing its beauty (and harshness). But other than these two theories I have, I got nothing
  8. I also love both Rarity and Rainbow Dash, although I do love Rarity a little bit more than Rainbow for her stylish appearance and demeanor.
  9. Oh my, Gilda lost her muzzle and now her beak look separated from her head. EDIT: Man, took me a while to realize I should've typed "muzzle" instead of "chin/cheeks"...
  10. This GIF. I'm thinking of this GIF at the moment. Like, I'm having a PM conversation with someone on another site and I've been waiting for the other person's response for 6 days now. The GIF just perfectly sums it all up, excitement and all.
  11. Agreed. To me, Queen Chrysalis just doesn't look like the kind of character that should be reformed. While I wouldn't mind another reformation, I personally like her evil and villainous as she is and she really should stay that way. Of course, if Hasbro decides to do it, by all means they may go right ahead... But it would be a very risky move since reformation of Chrysalis can and will destroy her character and piss off many, many fans unless they by some miraculous chance do it in a way that works for everyone (or most). So I really hope they don't reform her.
  12. The episode was enjoyable. Quibble Pants was a tad bit too much of a skeptic though and I wasn't too fond of the kidnappers, but those are really my only nitpicks I have and Quibble Pants managed to come around and accept the "unrealistic action sequences" in the end anyways so the episode was still pretty great
  13. Gonna jump in the same boat as the people above me and say I expect Changelings. Perhaps with the events of the season 2 finale, the presumed episode title and confirmation of at least one Changeling returning, I suspect that the S6 finale could be about Chrysalis' revenge plot against Princess Cadance and Shining Armor that may involve Flurry Heart in one way or another (probably kidnapping and taking her somewhere far away, judging from the title). And maybe Starlight will come in handy in this adventure/quest when it comes to fighting Chrysalis, given her magical prowess I've seen so far.
  14. My (rhetorical) question: What's wrong with this picture?
  15. Here's another one I found. Poor Cranky has something in his eyes!
  16. I hope there isn't a topic like this already. I did a search, but found next to nothing (just one thread that I don't want to necrobump and is more about infamous/memorable errors). If there's a topic for this already then please do point me there. Anyhow, I was watching an MLP clip on Youtube when I came across an animation error or two: Lyra got overlaid on top of the tent string and stake, and as an added bonus another pony is making a weird face Are there any other animation errors you've found? I would love to see your findings!
  17. I like the Changelings, and I'm also quite fond of gryphons (I prefer this spelling over "griffon", by the way). I'm infatuated with their designs.
  18. I'm so super excited! I especially can't wait for the finale and Spike's (first) song
  19. I'm really looking forward to The Times They Are A Changeling! I'm dying to see the episode and how this "Spike befriends a Changeling" thing unravels. I also wonder if Twilight and friends will make nods/flashbacks to the season 2 finale, given the fact the Changelings (and especially Queen Chrysalis) caused them a whole lot of grief and hell back then and might as well be paranoid about the friendly Changeling because of that. ...Which kinda reminds me of Lion King 2. Who knows, maybe they'll make a reference to that movie, since the Changelings would (in my opinion) be like the Outsiders from said movie, with the friendly Changeling being like Kovu and Chrysalis being like Scar/Zira. That's my own theory though EDIT: Oh yeah, and I'm really curious about Dungeons and Discords, the season finale two-parter, and 28 Pranks Later. The last one does sound like a second MMDW episode, but maybe this time around they won't repeat the same mistakes they made last time (or, for that matter, make other mistakes that would break it).
  20. I definitely like Fluttershy of the Mane 6. As for my fav non-pony character, I have two and they're Discord and Queen Chrysalis (because I can't decide between them).
  21. I don't find any episodes particularly depressing, but Ponyville Confidential and the end of A Canterlot Wedding really hit me. In Ponyville Confidential, I feel very sorry for the CMC, given the fact what they have to go through in that episode. They publish gossips, and when they notice things are going south (with Rarity being mature and explaining to SB the downsides of gossiping) they really want to stop only for DT to blackmail them into continuing, and later on they're shunned by the rest of Ponyville because of it and CMC could do little to nothing about it except write up an apology and slip it by without DT noticing. Pretty heartbreaking if you ask me. And at the end of A Canterlot Wedding... Well... Twilight's friends abandon her and Celestia says "You have a lot to think about" with an angry look on her face, prompting Twilight to tear up... and then she gets sent into the dark caves beneath by none other than "Cadance" whom she just accused of being evil, and Canterlot almost gets conquered in the second part because of that.
  22. Gonna jump in the Chrysalis boat here. I'd love to see her again; she was great in her debut and the season 5 finale, and I really think she deserves at least one more appearance since there's great potential to explore her character some more (if one doesn't count the comics as canon to the main series). Zecora too, as well as Ember, Gilda (and the other griffons), and perhaps Lightning Dust. Hell, I'd love to see how's LD been doing after she was stripped of her Wonderbolts membership (or at the very least her lead pony title; I'm not entirely sure), as well how's she feeling about it now (I wouldn't be surprised if she held a grudge against someone, given the fact she doesn't seem to have taken her demotion well). Maybe even explore her character as well and find out why she was so reckless in the first place
  23. I'm a Libra, and an Ox in the case of the Chinese Zodiac.
  24. Of course! Well, I try to anyways. I don't pay much attention on what or how much I consume, but I opt to eat healthy foodstuffs (fruit, vegetables etc.) as much as I can, and I also eat junk food (like a cheeseburger from McDonald's) from time to time but not too much because it's fattening and potentially expensive, not to mention I'd grow sick of junk food if I eat it too often or too much. It's kept me in a nice shape, not overweight nor underweight
  25. Eh, I like my hair just the way it is; a dark hazelnut color. No way I would change it
