  1. What do you think the lore became an excuse for? And what purpose do you think the world-building of MLP should have had? I think it like this : ponies from MLP are cute because they kinda look like puppies rather than people.
  2. What do you think is the biggest difference between the earlier srasons and the later seasons?
  3. Wonderbolt Academy. ...and the topic is closed. Call the staff member.
  4. I think collection of different pasts can be little rough. It would feel disconnected to put them in one or two episodes, and several flashbacks can be messy. What happens now isn't urgent or intriguing enough. The Last Problem has a similar structure, but in that case, the present is everything. Season 4 premiere's memory potion was pretty contrived and pointless, and your rewrite unfortunately shares some of those aspects if you know what I mean. Just make the episode take place in the past, not a flashback. That's it. Treat it like a complete standalone episode and tell the story like the audience never watched an MLP episode before. Then enjoy writing about the princesses' early days and put Starswirl all the way you want. And at the end of the episode the princesses leaen their friendship /sisterhood leason. I believe the best way to write the Nightmare Moon story is to not write it. So I don't have an advice about that. I also think even it's a hoax, the Daybreaker scene does have a meaning to the plot. It's to show the character's deepest fear and deliver the dread of how it ends up having a dysfunctional family. So if the princesses has to tell all those stories, something intriguing has to happen now.
  5. I think he started his career as a hard rock/metal singer and he even auditioned for Black Sabbath.
  6. I was listening to King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard's Infest the Rat's Nest and wondered, were there more metal albums released by non metal artists? (I mean artists that were not known for doing metal stuff by the time) And when I say metal, I mean undoubtly metal stuff. The more drastic change the artist made, the better. King Gizzard's release was pretty surprising and they have shown versatility, but they were capable of being so heavy before. (Nonagon Infinity, Murder of the Universe etc.) Can you name some examples?
  7. Not that I have thought of it, but it's a strange dilemma. It would be such a taboo for a man to wear womem's clothes, but if it weren't taboo enough, it would lose it's merit in the first place. Because I can only picture myself in the situation with impure curiosities. Not that I have thought of it though.
  8. I fail to percieve James Cameron as a promising director since the advertisements of him approving of those crap. Terminator 1,2, Aliens are my favorite movies of all time, but sadly that's that.
  9. They are compromised products. They are for people who make compromises. Do they taste better? no. Are they healthier? better drink water. They are not better in any way by any means, just optimized to certain needs and certain groups of people.
  10. I am capable of taking a full course shower within 10 minutes, but I just take an hour.
  11. I haven't met anyone who likes them so far.
  12. Oh, and Mulholland Drive. It fails at every aspect of what makes a good movie for me, and I honestly think that 98% of people who pretend they like it doesn't like it or get it. It's not entertaining, it's not artistic, it's not meaningful, it's not well executed, it's not interesting. If movies are all about interpretation and experiences, I interpret this movie as a bad movie, so is my expereince with this movie. This movie is made as if pretending to be a good movie makes it a good movie. At least that's what I think.
  13. John Wick series. The action 'scenes' are well executed, but as a movie, a terrible movie. The world has become of people being hyped about movies like this because good action movies don't exist anymore.
  14. If those songs raise concerns for mental health, what makes me listening songs like Speak English or Die! and Hell Awaits?
  15. Nah, I listen to it a lot. Even lrefer it to Nina Simon's version.

    general media Venom

Oh, I thought Venom the band.
  17. I didn't thought that I would need it so much before I got one. I bought myself a cheap set of earbuds (qcy-t1) and they were 100 times more convenient than any of my wired earphones. Now I have Sony's WF-1000XM3 and they have noise cancelling features, which is good because I usually listen to my music by my phone in a bus. They are quite expensive, but I use them all the time outdoors and personally I don't regret. Is it worth it? It depends on the person who's using it. I always use them outdoors and I really don't like the wires getting entangled. I'm willing to give up some audio qualities for convenience, and I don't use them more than 4 hours. I also don't use them for phone calls, so keep in mind that very little wireless earbuds are barely passable. I heard that Airpods are mostly famous for better phone call qualities. I suggest you getting a cheap 10-20$ earbuds (qcy-t1 or qcy-t5) and try that out first. Then move on.
  18. I'd like an episode based on this idea. It doesn't have to be a Wonderbolt, but if somepony could do it, it would be interesting.
  19. I could say that their friendship is so strong, that they feel like they can do anything and fearleas when together and they believe in each other so much. But that would be somewhat dishonest for me to say because I don't think so. I think it's weird too.
  20. Here are some death metal albums that I've listened from a list of best death metal albums for widening my musical landscape. I usually stick to heavy metal and thrash, but I of course got curious about death metal. I like the first Morbid Angel album Altars of Madness because it sounds good, crisp and clear. I like the first two Autopsy albums, Severed Survival and Mental Funeral, unlike most extreme metal bands, they sound like still having connection to hard rock roots. I thought Carcass's Heartwork was very influential to post 90s bands when I first heard it, and I got where the reputation came from. It's not my cup of tea, but it's very widely appealing that I can enjoy. I like Dismember's first album Like an Everflowing Stream because they didn't lost the sense of groove unlike some death metal bands. Entombed's Left Hand Path was not as much as enjoyable as Dismember first, but it grew on me and now they are equally good for me. Gojira (are they death metal?) is very good, I've listened to From Mars to Sirius, it feels like pure energy and aggression, they definitely have their own style. I used to not give enough credit for Gojira, but after listening to them more, I think they are very good, probably one of the best contemporary metal bands. Infernal Majesty's None Shall Defy is a thrash metal album, but it feels like predicting death metal that will come few years later. Check it out if you're curious. Nocturnus's The Key was a very pleasant and easy listening for me, considering my experience with death metal was even more limited back then. It almost feels like a thrash metal album, it's simple and technical at the same time and enjoyable. Opeth's Blackwater Park was just an ok experience at first to be honest. I didn't like the modern mish-mash of hard compressed modern 2000s mastering, but after a few listens more, I think they are one of the most unique bands of all time. They surprisingly sound like 70s hard rock/progressive rock bands, and besides the growling, they aren't that bat shit crazy for a death metal band. I think they are very interesting and good. (I've been to their concert once) Possessed's Seven Churches is a thrash metal album, but many people give them credit for the first death metal band. I love this album. It's simple but brutal and catchy. Slaughter (Canada) is also considered as a proto death metal band, I think they are thrash/punk band with crazy ass performance. I prefer the demo Surrender of Die! to Strappado. Early Sepultura is interesting because they started as Death/Black metal and became thrash (similar to Sodom). They are enjoyable like some low budget B horror movies. Is Slipknot's Iowa considered death metal? I don't know but I like it, I think it could have been a bit shorter by cutting some songs though. Protector's (Germany) Golem is a thrash metal album with death sprinkled on it, which I liked, but when I listened to Urm the Mad and The Shedding of Skin, it was not my taste. Atheist's Unquestionable Presence was fresh. They were proggy and versatile. I like it. Bolt Thwoer's The 4th Crusade was a unique experience. Bolt Thrower seems to have their own approach, style, formula and it works. It was a very riff based songs and was very groovy. Incantation's Onward to Golgotha was too much for my taste, too bat shit crazy and too mushy. Cryptopsy's None So Vile was even more bat shit crazy, it's ridiculous. It's too much and lacks groove for my taste. They might be one of the most brutal bands, but that is not what I'm looking for. Sarcófago's INRI was dark and brutal, I get the charm of it, but not so much for me. Cannibal Corpse was just not that memorable for me to be honest. At the Gates's Slaughter of the Soul felt very influential, I get that many 2000s band took inspirations from it. But that's that, it's decent but not so much for me. And I'm not a fan of the bands that got influenced by this. Death was not that much for me either. They might just be the most celebrated death metal band of all time, if not, most celebrated metal band of all time. Their production style became a new standard for future bands, but it's just not my style. I prefer the first album Scream Bloody Gore than others, but that might be because I'm an old ass metalhead. Merciless's The Awakening felt like a harsh thrash metal album. Enjoyable. Pungent Stench's Been Caught Buttering was ridiculous. But entertaining. Demlich's Nespithe felt like the collection of first reversed loop of Altars of Madness's intro. The riffs are like normal riffs reversed and has a twisted groove that I never heard anywhere else. Gorguts's Obscura was fresh, but the harsh modern production was a turn off. But the bold proggy avant-garde approach was good. Pestilence's Malleus Malleficarum was also like a more harsh thrash metal. Kinda like it but I'd just listen to Kreator's Pleasure to Kill. Death metal has it's bad reputations and some shortcomings. But I think it's one of the heaviest form of music with many potential that can be almost anything. There are many types of death metal just like there are many types of heavy metal or just many types of music. I think even if you're not a fan, it's worth giving a try and you might find something you like because there's that many. But I also get that "they all sound the same" argument. It's true to a certain extent to be honest.
  21. Keep going people, as the OP I approve of all this and this was the kind of discussion I was trying to get. Non of this is off topic as far as I know.
  22. You know those kind of movies where it ends with all the texts over pictures of characters with how all the they died or ended up? Example : John finally married Ann at 1935, had three kids. Died by cancer in 1999, he spent the rest of of his life teaching people how to levitate. How would you write those kinds of texts at the end of final episode if you could? (doesn't need to match with the show canon-wise)
  23. My question is more connected to why Hasbro made a franchise revolving around ponies targeted towards girls in the first place. Some grown up men MLP fans got intrigued it because it was a girls thing.
  24. By Twilight and Flash Sentry marrying to each other.
