  1. I feel like Hasbro intends to mostly just trying to keep the franchise alive and trending for the meantime, as the great impact of MLP:FIM is going to last them a while, and I think they are bidding their time until the next "better" thing comes along. Be aware, thoughts may change after watching the released content.
  2. I found the trailer to cute though I fear that this show, and G5 in general, will be too predictable. I hope that G5, both 2D and 3D, will bring interesting elements that fans can write stories about. I just love fanfictions that deconstructs and alternates the characters and storylines.
  3. I have ideas of why MLP FIM was so popular in the early 2010's. I wasn't watching the show in the early 2010's, by the way. 1.) The witty and relatable tone of the show was refreshing for the franchise, and for shows at the time. Also, it was the time when the show's impact on the world started. 2.) The lessons and interactions in the episodes were heartfelt. It was made clear that the talented people who were making the show and had put their hearts into it, and had a good idea of how to handle the cheesiness. 3.) The show was like an open, clean book that just had so much creativity to be placed into it. It was the same for the Fandom at the time. Also, the early fandom had no idea how long the show and G4 itself would last, or what great "kid" shows were going to exist so they went extra hard for this show. What do you guys think?
  4. Welcome to the MLP forum! @BubbaGumpSkrimp It's so nice to have you here.
  5. Because it is literally a public space? Yes. The Golden Oaks Library is a public place, but Twilight had the right to kick intruders out of her library, especially since the place wouldn't even have been opened.
  6. I found the first two episodes to be weak at some aspects. Like why didn't Twilight throw the intruding ponies out of the Golden Oaks Library? Anyway, I like it for how it greatly introduced our characters. And I can just hope that the premiere of any MLP show in the future could be just as great as I found this one to be.
  7. I got an idea of the Mane 5 ending up in an alternate dimension where ponies don't have wings or horns, and only have natural colors. The native ponies live far away from fantastical magic. While they do have magic of their own, they hate it when their magic is given great euthusiasm and cheer. The Mane 5 are treated not so greatly by the native ponies. The Mane 5 can't help but wonder why the native ponies act the way they do with magic. 🐎✨ Please let me know what you think of this story idea. (Please do not steal)
  8. I enjoy fandoms very much, but no one around me enjoys or even understands them. Also, when I discovered the wonderful world of MLP, MLP FIM was already about to end, and I feel like I betrayed myself. I wonder if anyone here experienced that before.
  9. My favorite character in MLP G5 so far is Izzy Moonbow. But my favorite "fanon interpretation" MLP G5 character is Sunny Starscout.
  10. I have a lot of doubts about the idea of a G% Equestrian girls, much are which are similar to the doubts I have for MLP G5 A New Generation, but I do find the idea of futuristic Equestrian quite interesting. The advanced technology could bring a lot of possibilities, such as alternate dimensions, time travel with/out dimensional travel. etc. I honestly wish for a character who is a clone of an OC character from MLP G4, who struggles to call the first and only world she ever had, home. The character would be a stand-in for the fans who are stuck lamenting over G4, and struggling to embrace what is here and what is coming.
  11. I honestly always feel a little strange watching MLP, mostly because the people around me don't understand fandoms, and I feel like I wasted a lot of time taking so long to watch MLP. Do I feel really weird watching MLP G1 and G2? No. DO I feel really weird watching MLP G3, G4.5, and G5? Yes, but when it comes to the songs I love, I don't mind it so much.
  12. I find G5 to be a questionable attempt after a success that is MLP:FIM. I found it obvious that G5 wasn't going to seem as grand or impactful as G4 was. Honestly, the flaws with the G5 premiere movie make me have bigger doubts about G5, and the future of the MLP franchise as a whole. But like with MLP:FIM and the previous generations, there will be highs and lows, and there will be people looking out for them. 💘🐎✨💫
  13. Thank you so much. It's been very difficult since I am quite the fan of my shows. Honestly, I don't understand what "I can even say you will get got, too." means, but I'm grateful for the reassurance.
  14. Do any of you guys feel like the color palettes of MLP G5 are rather garish? I am asking because it reminds me of how the recent Barbie content seems garish to me. I'm guessing that it is just how color palettes are evolving, but I want to know if anyone else here can relate to this.
  15. I am wonder how many people can relate the situation I am in. My situation is that I have been alienating MLP:FIM and gravitating toward the Pre-FIM generations since I keep feeling "guilty" for only watching and understanding MLP: FIM when it was about to end. I hope that those who relate to my situation can get getter, and I can get better too. 💞 🐎
  16. The one word I would use to describe this fandom is Legendary.
  17. What made me stay in the MLP fandom is the love and respect I grew to have for all generations, except Newborn Cuties. Possibly, also the guilt for the ignorance and disrespect I had for the fandom before I really started watching MLP: Friendship is magic. Anyways, I don't see myself leaving the fandom anytime soon, even if I end up not liking what comes next.
  18. Hello. I just have a question.

How do you sign-up or create an account in Equestrian Daily? because I can only find the sign-in button.

    Pretty please. :eager:

  19. Name: Rosy Moonlight Age: 23 Gender: Female Species: Earth pony Appearance: She has pink fur, blue mane with a green streak (and tiny green piece of hair) tied in a yellow hair tie. Also, she has a blue tail with a green streak with a yellow hair tie, and medium blue eyes. Cutie mark: Her cutie mark is a pink rose with a light blue stem and medium blue crescent moons for petals. Outfit; She usually wears a red violet top with a rather long pleated collar with star patterns. The neckline, sleeve hems and bottom hems are yellow, and the sleeves have green stripes. Personality: She is rather preachy, obsessive, and spacy. She is also very resilient, adventurous, and kind. She was born to traveling parents, and when she was 7 years old, she and her parents got attacked by bandits. Her parents got murdered by the bandits, and she was able to escape into the wilderness. After a few ways, she accidentally fell into an alien spaceship, and lost consciousness after she hit her head. The spaceship accidentally crashed into the planet, and the aliens inside were able to fix it shortly after Rosy lost unconsciousness. The aliens then traveled back into space and to their home planet. Rosy was discovered sometime after the aliens returned home, and bunch of things happened. Soon enough, Rosy got adopted by alien parents. And no, her adoptive parents weren't occupants of the spaceship Rosy fell into.
  20. Had anyone discover a show/series at its middle but scoffed at it, and only gave it a chance and then fell in love with it, when it was near its end? I first experienced this with MLP FIM, and I wonder if there were people who experienced the same with other series. Well, now that I experienced it early in life with something that was insanely popular, I think I have a good idea what to look out for in the future.
  21. I somehow didn't find this thread until now. But, I'm here.
  22. If I lived in Equestria, my cutie mark would be a rose with rosy pink petals, a light blue stem, and two medium blue crescent moons as the leaves. If anypony already has this cutie mark (or this name), please let me know.
  23. I like G1 out of all the pre-FIM generations. I honestly find the storytelling and personalities rather weak, but I do love my favorite G1 ponies. One of my G1 favorites is Firefly, who was the inspiration for G4 Rainbow Dash. Who loves both Firefly and G4 Rainbow Dash here?
  24. For the mysterious asexual creature, I imagined they would dress like a 80's pony, greatly resembling the ponies in the original MLP show. The 80's ponies are the earliest ponies in the official MLP franchise, like how single-celled organisms are among the earliest lifeforms. Also, number 9 on the list would be quite interesting for the headcannon. https://www.eightieskids.com/10-strange-and-bizarre-facts-about-my-little-pony/
