  1. I see the first 3 seasons (especially before Magical Mystery Cure) as the early years of MLP:FIM. So, I see you as a (late-in-being-early) Brony.
  2. I just watch 2 episodes today.

I guess I can keep up watching 2 episodes per day, just like a TV show is real-time.

  3. I started watching MLP in 2018. Now, I can hardly remember not enjoying the franchise. I am a late brony.
  4. I like Barbie, Monster High, DC superhero girls, Winx Club (before season 8) and PowerPuff girls (1998). I am not sure if the last 2 counts.
  5. I think they should not have splurged as much as they did on the MLP:ANG movie. I think they should have gone a little easier on the animation since it was going to set the standards for the animation in MLP G5. The movie could have been a 44-60 minute special (but with a sequel hook), to build up on nostalgia (of the FIM premiere) and for there to be less to dwell on in the questionable writing. I think that Sunny should not have became an alicorn at the end of the movie, and there should have been foreshadowing of her becoming one in the future. The movie could have eased the transition for the characters and the audience better by not only putting focus on the other races, but also acknowledging it would be a bad idea to unite with the other races as a broken race. What do you think?
  6. I imagined that If the Storm King went to the Human World, he would be a hairy well-built man who feels a little cold all the time. He would be wearing a necklace with a jewel that resembles the jewel of his staff (which is hidden under a scarf), leather jacket, T-shirt with his symbol, cargo pants, and two-toned boots.
  7. For months now, I haven't found myself watch more than 1 MLP:FIM episode in a month. I find myself enjoying mlp fandom stuff a lot more than watching that show nowadays. Can anyone relate?
  8. If the egg that Hitch is holding is a dragon egg, it gives us viewers the chance to watch a "baby" baby dragon be part of the main cast, which is something I've always desired for in G4. I can imagine that if G5 will have a Halloween episode/special, Spike would be wearing a Maleficent-esque costume. I can imagine how things might turn out. Sunny - She is very nervous about the baby's safety but wants to have HOPE that the baby is safe with her friends. She ends up taking the backseat of the caretaking, as she is scared of crushing her friends's spirits. Izzy - She really wants to make the most CREATIVE crafts for the baby but ends up with Artist Block, and ends up fighting with Pipp for time with the baby. Hitch - The baby wants to play with the animals but Hitch really doesn't think its a good idea, and tries his best to keep the baby from the animals. The animals, and pretty much the gang, thinks he is being unnecessarily UNKIND. Hitch ends up fighting with Zipp over the baby's safety. Pipp - She uses the baby for her Social Media stuff, and she gets comments like really shakes her CONFIDENCE about being a good caretaker/leader. She is taking care of the baby with her friends but the deep fear of becoming a not-good-enough leader, in the case her sister doesn't become a good queen for whatever reason, surfaces. She end up overcompensating, and fighting with Izzy over spending time with him. Zipp - She ends up trying really hard to teach the baby (who is only a few weeks old) how to fly, which is her unconsciously compensating for being unable to fly when she was young. Hitch ends up fighting with her over the baby's safety. Pipp ends up fighting with Pipp over her fears of possibly becoming a queen, and wants her to learn a lesson about having COURAGE to become the queen she is meant to be.
  9. The Perfect Pear, Cutie Mark Chronicles, The Best Night Ever and Sisterhoves Social are just a few of the episodes I watch when I am feeling sad.
  10. G4 for the win! I love the cuteness.
  11. It think that if MLP:FIM ended early, the fandom would've ended up like the Danny Phantom' fandom, or the show could have been revived like Young Justice.
  12. I found Bronies strange before, but I admire my fellow Bronies now.
  13. I honestly prefer to imagine that Sunny exists in G4 and is mentally ill, with G5 as just a part of her hallucinations, symbolizing how she cannot handle how unlucky she is with friendship and the world in general.
  14. What I meant when I said there should have been more "breathing room" was that the gap between G4 and G5 should have been a few years longer since G5 was the first generation that was a direct successor of the previous generation. I feel like if the gap had been like 4 years or more, the "in-universe time gap" would have been easier to take in, and its premise would feel less like a "cornered new season" of G4. Also, for me, the choices for G5 have been not-so-great so far.
  15. I think that Spike being called a "baby dragon" for most of the series was mostly cultural thing, partly because the dragon's lifespan can be confusing to measure.
  16. G5 coming out only 2 years after G4 ended gave us fans very little breathing room to accept that the quality of G4 would not be found in any new generation. I know the Hasbro is a money-making conpany, but it could have saved itself a lot in the long run if it gave more breathing room. What do you think?
  17. Welcome to the forums. The magic shines brighter with you around.
  18. Applejack is a great character, though sometimes, I wish she was a bit more selfish. So, she could show more strength in bouncing back from weakened moments. In season 4 episode "Leap of faith", it showed her commitment in honesty, but I haven't seen much content of her embracing her lazy/selfish side. It just seemed like a missed target to me.
  19. To me, the lip-synching is not good. I don't like the plastic-y animation. And I think a 2D version would look better (if the designs are more accurate to the movie.) The faraway shots look fine, but not the close-up or speaking shots.
  20. (After explaining MLP to my past self) 2013 self: It has shows?! *I did not know MLP had shows until 2015/2016, and I still took a few more years to watch them.
  21. The episodes goes well with the 5 minutes time limit. Also, I like the cave joke and how it played into the story. This got to be my favorite yet, next to Sisters Take Flight.
  22. I have this idea of an AU: Argyle was just an eccentric and rather self-absorbed pony who deeply loved the daughter he never understood. Sunny grew up seeing her father (as how he was in the MLP: ANG film), and when she realizes how he truly was, she wonders if she can really have friends when she sees how badly she can see others as what they're not.
  23. It's so nice to meet you!
