  1. I’m p sure that my high school didn’t have that be a mandatory, considering how I never saw anyone ever use them despite having them. And because I had (debatably still do) LOTS of issues about my body on of social anxiety and a fear of being “quirky and weird”, I just followed the herd and never used them. i was totally willing tho.
  2. See, now you get what I was going for: Alternative ship names that actually have some significance to the characters being shipped, as apposed to “just slap their names together, it’s fine”. Altho, and this might be because I never actually got caught up with MLP yet, but I don’t quite understand that ship name for Twilight and Fluttershy. Any chance you could explain it? It’s different because “Flutterlight” isn’t the focus of that post. It only got said as a reference for which ship I was creating a more personal name for. Unless you’re talking about my point of confusing names, in which I’ve got nothing. I can concede that I wasn’t any better.
  3. That's... the exact opposite of what I asked. My whole point is about how FNDM is more creative than to just mush names together. Not to mention that just smashing names together can potentially cause problems (Example: Are you talking Twilight or Starlight? This wouldn't be a thing with actual effort with shipping titles.) I'd give you an example of what I mean, but I haven't seen the movie yet, so I know literally nothing about Tempest, other than 'broken horn".
  4. Greetings, hello, and what iz, peeps? You know, if there's one thing I admire about The FNDM (the name for the RWBY fandom), it's that out of all the fandoms I'm apart of, this one included, they are the only ones to actually put any effort into their shipping names. When they ship people, that pairing has a name, if not multiple, that has more meaning attached to those characters than their names mushed together. For example, the ship between Penny (a robot) and Sun (someone who can be overly simplified as half human, half monkey) is called 'Optimus Primate'. Another ship, between Weiss (is often associated with "cold") and Pyrrha (has polarity/magnetism) is called 'North Pole'. And the names don't stop at 1-on-1 ships. If you wanna see how far they go with their creativity for ships, They have an entire Google Spreadsheet dedicated to keeping track of them. And quite frankly, out of all the other fandoms I'm apart of, this one saddens me the most in hindsight to RWBY being the only one creative enough to do this. So I ask all y'all: What FNDM-esque shipping name can you come up with for MLP? I don't expect anything to truly stick or to change anything, but I know we can do better than "follow the crowd" with our ship names. -------------------- I've been a fan of the name I made up for Flutterlight: Golden Oaks. Considering the jokes about Fluttershy being a tree, and Twilight's ex-home being a tree with a name, I feel this fits quite nicely for a ship name for them.
  5. But here's the question: Are the broken pieces stuck in place/unable to change location like the streams of sodie-pop and lemonade sea?
  6. I like that response, regardless of context. You get a cookie. *tosses you a soft snickerdoodle* That's an odd thing for Nintendo to be behind on. :3
  7. Come Little Children -(I dunno who originally sings this, I just know it from Hocus Pocus)
  8. I recently bought a 32GB micro SD card for my 3DS. I had very quickly ran out of space and I'm... iffy about buying games online for an uncertain amount of return policy.
  9. I wanna say when she was 2.5 horse years old. The Warner Brothers. (and the Warner Sister!) I don't know anything about party culture, so I'mma take your word for it that it actually happens.
  10. I wanna say he still does, since he's still a baby dragon. How about Vinyl Scratch? (And no, passing out after a party doesn't count.)

    movies/tv Closed captioning

I usually use them, not because I'm hard of hearing, but because I'm very flighty when I watch TV shows. To put it very lightly: I'm the reason "jingling car keys" is a style of writing nowadays. So I need CC to focus on what the show's about.
  12. Because I'm an indecisive mess when it comes to what fandom I wanna be associated by, I can almost draw a borderline good artwork, and I have lots of money for commissions.
  13. You ever look at someone and think, "Wow, they definitely got their life all put together."?

    Yeah, me neither.

  14. Hello! I would like to commission you a new avatar for myself, altho I've never done this before, so let me know if I'm doing something wrong. The thing to know about my avatar/artsona is that, for the purposes of an avatar, it's appearance is that of an amalgamation of different things I like. So I feel a need to update it with new info. However, just in case you can't tell what some of features are, here's a list of everything to take note, both to change and keep the same: I like the "pose", but you have some artistic freedom to make it look nicer, if you have an idea. The skin color HEX code is #D6B079. The ponytail (which is to be changed to an imperfect Braid with a purple band at the end) is also a functional hand with three fingers. The top hat is designed to look like Bill Cipher's with a purple band that holds the 'Ben 10' logo, also in purple. Since at its core it's supposed to be my head, the eye color should have the HEX code of #6C410E. The stage-right eye socket is that of Sans from Undertale with Isabella Garcia-Shapiro's eyeball in it. The stage-left eye socket should be of Chiro from SRMTHFG while the eyeball is that of a Gardevoir. The "eye makeup" from Chiro should be removed. It was a stupid idea. I have a mole under my stage-right eye. The forehead is large enough to show Peridot's gem (which is also in the forehead). I don't like that nose. You have full artistic freedom to make that schnoz look good on that head. The stage-right ear is that of Trixie (I assume you don't need a reference link for her ;3). The stage-left ear is that of Stitch. The smiling mouth of an Axolotl. I prefer a closed smile, but if you can make it work, do it.
  15. I absolutely LOVE this episode! Altho that's mostly because of the take-away (or at the very least what I took away from it): Just because someone's too proud to ask for help, that doesn't mean they don't need it or won't appreciate it, especially if you know them well enough to do it correctly without their verbal direction.
