  1. The closest I've every gotten someone to watch an episode was showing a friend a few vids from the .mov series. I also told him how the actual show has really good sound/music to it, and I showed him a small part of Hurricane Fluttershy and another scene from It's About Time. From the .mov series alone he told me that we should watch an episode, but it was quite late at night and we didn't have time for that. He's not an internet person anyways so I honestly don't think he would keep up with the show for very long. Now that he's going to be moving away next year, I thought I should have let him watched an episode after all, regardless whether he would continue to watch the show by himself or not.
  2. The thing I miss most about being a kid is ~FREEDOM~ The happiest time of my life so far was about a quarter of a year in 2nd grade. I'm not saying that I'm not currently happy since my life has been going quite smoothly. I say that the last 4 months of my 2nd grade year was the happiest time of my life because it was the most free I remember ever being. The house I was living in at the time had a swimming pool, and I would wake up in the morning and just jump into it in my pajamas. My friends would come over all the time and everyday was very relaxed and great. There was not a damn speck of stress or even a sense of responsibility. It was beyond-the-top easygoing, and I totally missed that about being a kid. Actually, I am technically still a kid (I'm 16) but being a kid now is not the same as being a kid then -_-
  3. My main sport is table tennis. Yes, it's a sport If you play matches for a few hours straight, table tennis can actually be quite intense. I'm improving pretty fast, and I hope I can make it onto my school's Varsity team next year. This year I was in Junior Varsity. The only more physically demanding sport I do is jump roping. I guess it's not so much a sport but more of just an excercise. A couple of times a week when I take a break from homework, I would do 1000 jumps, usually splitting into sets of 200 or more. Other sports I do is jogging on the threadmill(sometimes) and swimming once a week. I never jog outside, because in where I'm living now I would probably get hit by a car.
  4. I generally don't find so much hatred on this forums, and maybe that's just because I only come on every now and then. Lately, one of the more major 'unlove untolerate' things I've noticed here is people's views on Hasbro. Topics which denounce Hasbro pop up once in a while, and I've seen a few. The flaw about people is that we tend to notice the negative aspects of things more easily than we notice the positive aspects. People complain and bitch over Hasbro products, plushies, shutting Mane6, etc. However I saw a thread recently which was about how Hasbro actually loves us (somewhere in Sugarcube Corner or General Discussions). This person saw the good parts of Hasbro and complimented it. The world we live in isn't exactly the happiest place place in the world and it is easy to develope a pessimistic mindset, but mind you; try to think positive, and look for the good side of things and not just the cons which are easier to notice. The world would generally become a better place if people can tolerate more. I'm sure there are other bronies like me who still try to live to the "love and tolerate" idea as much as possible. This motto shouldn't just be followed by bronies; all people should look at this motto and give it a thought.
  5. If you live in an area where people have access to the internet, and isn't too poor, then I'm sure there are other bronies at your school. To find out who's a brony, maybe try wearing something subtly related to MLP, something only bronies would recognize, like a shirt or hat with a cutie mark etc. And if I am correct and there are some bronies in your school, you would probably receive a number of broohoofs. Last year there was a short article on our school magazine about MLP. It was really brief and just talked about how the show was becoming popular amongst the high school students (including me). Because of this I suppose there are more than just several bronies at my school. I was a brony before this article was published, and I have a brony friend at my school, a brony friend living half the world away, and this other guy who I know is a brony but doesn't know me too well. Try the t-shirt trick. I'm sure it'll work!!
  6. Taiwanese brony! I have two friends who are also Asian bronies as well and this other guy at my school who's also an Asian brony. Oh well I guess it doesn't matter where we're from. Being able to meet other bronies is already a great thing to do.
  7. Every time I watch MLP I get this wide grin on my face, and I usually don't even notice. When I'm watching, I no longer give a damn about any of the problems in the world, and all my mind is focused on is the world of colorful ponies... This fandom in a way made me more openminded a person than I already am. I learned that not everything looks appealing at first. I remember watching my very first episode, S1E1, back in December 2011. When the theme song came about my first thought was something like "OMG LOL so gay". Luckily, I was watching with an open mind, because I thought "if lots of guys my age like this, there must be a reason to it." So I kept on watching and watching and became glued to the show.
  8. Got Fallout Equestria on my Kindle! : D

      Broccoli

I went on google and searched "Fallout Equestria kindle download." Done!

  9. I heard from a survey that the average brony age is around 21. This should be about correct, since in the pictures of the various meetups we see on Equestriadaily, the members of the meetups usually look like their in their early-mid twenties. I'm 16 and a stallion by the way.
  10. I seldom laugh out loud for anything, even when it's really funny. However, sometimes when I watch MLP I get a huge grin/smile on my face. I remembered when I first watched Too Many Pinkie Pies. I did not realize that I had a large grin on my face until halfway throughout the episode. The grin stayed there for the rest of the episode, and was there again when I rewatched it right afterwards
  11. My worst pain was the time I got peritonitis, which is like one stage worse than appendicitis. It hurt like crazy, and I flew back to my home country after two whole days of pain. My parents thought it might be stomach ache or bad food poisoning, but we went to three hospitals and tried lots of medicine and nothing worked. At the airport I had to borrow a wheelchair because it hurt so much I couldn't walk. My second worst pain was the first day or so after the surgery. There was a 8 cm surgery cut on the bottom right side of my belly, and it hurt like crap. Luckily once in a while the nurse would add some pain killer into my IV drop, and the hospital bed was damn cool, so that was fun to play with. My third worst pain was in the 7th grade. There was this one time where I had ALOT of pimples gathered oh my chin, and it hurt whenever I moved my mouth or lips. My mom took me to the hospital to check, since regular acne medicine wasn't working. Guess what the doctor did? He injected a needle into my chin where over 10 fully swollen pimples were several times, and then squeezed my chin with brute force afterwards for a few minutes onto a hankerchief Lots of puss and whatnot came out, and it hurt quite a lot. Afterwards, however my face got all better, so it was worth it. Yeah gore much I know.
  12. This year: Day A: 1A: Chemistry 2A: Physical Education (P.E) 3A: Modern World History 4A: Orchestra 2 Day B: 1B: Algebra 2 Trigonometry 2B: Spanish III 3B: English 10 4B: Study Hall In my school the schedule works something like this (at least for freshmans and sophomores): Suppose Monday is a 1A, and is followed by 1B on Tuesday. The schedule rotates and on Wednesday would become a 2A, and Thursday a 2B. Then, 3A on Friday and 3B on the following Monday then 4A&B etc. Time slots: 8:10 am-School starts 8:10-9:30-First period 9:30-10:00-Break 10:00-11:20-Second period 11:25-12:45-Third period 12:45-1:30-Lunch 1:35-2:55-Fourth period 2:55-School ends Wednesday schedule is a little different. 8:10-8:20 is homeroom, class starts at 8:25. Break is 15 minutes shorter and goes from 9:45-10:00 There you go, everypony. My whole damn schedule!
  13. Back in kindergarden, I thought that if you put a wire or a paper clip on a lit light bulb you'll be able to see sparks. So, I tried, and nothing happened, and I had no idea why... When I was really young I used to notice that my grandma was often out of the house during the day. My grandpa would always tell me that she jumped into the ocean. I had always believed him until in 1st grade I realized that it can't be true. First of all, my grandma can't swim. Second: I know that my grandma loves to go shopping. I concluded that she must have gone shopping, as it was the most logical solution. Suprisingly I never believed that Santa Claus, Tooth Fairy, Mickey Mouse, etc, were real people, though many young children do.
  14. The lowest overall average I can remember getting was in 7th grade in middle school. I got a C- average I think. That was quite some time ago and tha teacher sucked at teaching anyways.
  15. I always ignore ads. Like T.V commercials, I learn something from them about 0.5% of the time, and they always tick me off. The worst kind of ads are those that suddenly pop up once a page is loaded, and covers the whole screen! Grrr!
  16. Usually, the purpose of homework is extra practice of the knowledge you learned in class. In my school, homework does not count in the final grades, although you still have to do it. If homework assignments are incomplete, you get sent to this thing called the 'second chance room'. Just a prettier way of saying detention . I've never been sent there. Yes thats right, I do my homework. The worst homework I usually have is math, because I'm a pretty bad logical thinker, and cannot keep numbers in my head for very long.
  17. I was never a person with many hobbies. I have been a Lego enthusiast all my life, and ponies helped add a little more to my interests. Now, one of the first things I check on my laptop each morning is Equestria Daily. Always looking forward to more ponies
  18. When I feel happy, I always know why I'm happy, and how long I might stay happy for. I'm usually in a good mood, or neutral. Busy from schoolwork, but not upset over anything either. Many people tend to have pessimistic thoughts easily (like me), so if you can stay happy almost all the time, you should be happy that you are able to stay happy all the time, but chances are, you are already happy about being able to be that way!
  19. If I don't shower for over a day, my hair would become sticky like crazy. I usually shower either after I get home from school or before I go to bed.
  20. My favorite breed of dog is the Bichon Frise. This is the first dog I ever had and I've had him for around 8 years now. His name is Yoshi, as in the green dinosaur guy from Mario. Heres a pic: yoshi.tiff
  21. Interesting question. Besides sleeping, I would say at most several hours. Probably when no one else is in the house, or that other time I had appendix surgury.
  22. I just watched the episode, and I thought it was great! It was quite intense, especially the scenes with Angel running away, and being on the train. Lots of humor involved too.
  23. I have only seen the trailer, and just from that I thought the documentary was really great! I also saw the Jananimations video/song about bronies, which was really good. Hopefully I'll be able to watch the whole documentary soon.
  24. How do some people fall asleep within 10-20 minutes? For me, it usually takes 1 hour to 1&1/2 hours to fall asleep, and in some extreme cases 2+ hours. I'm kind of a thinker, so no matter how tired I am, my mind is still thinking of something. I also know people who can fall asleep listening to music. If I listen to music when I sleep, it's impossible for me to fall asleep, however I still listen to music sometimes on bed just to get my mind of other things, or to stop thinking altogether.
  25. I just finished watching the episode. I thought it was pretty great overall, certainly better than the episode before it. From what we have seen of Discord in the past, he's one of those characters who is very stubborn and is impossible to negotiate with. I'm glad to see that he does have some sort of weakness (besides being vunerable to the elements.) Overall a satisfying episode, althought it did seem a little short.
