movies/tv Favorite Show That Ended Prematurely

There have been a lot of good shows over the year but unfortunetely some of them ended way too soon and a few names come to mind right now.

Green Lantern The Animated Series: Lots of unanswered questions and unresolved stories, I would have loved to have seen what happened with Razer in particular did he become a blue lantern?

Star Wars The Clone Wars: We saw Ahsoka leave the jedi order after being accused of murder, her name may have been cleared but we didn't see anything after that. Darth Sideous brought Darth Maul back in but we didn't see what he did with him. There are apparently unaired episodes available on Netflix from what I hear and while I didn't see them I doubt they would answer all of these questions.

Thundercats (2011): This is easily one of the best original shows Cartoon Network has ever aired, it took everything good about the 80's Thundercats, multiplied it 10fold and ironed out the flaws of the 80's cartoon. Liono's trials in this version kicked so much ass, everything was getting so good until it was just cancelled without any notice. Seriously, what the hell happened?

Megas XLR: Had plenty of action combined with clever parodies and great humor. It at least went out with a bang.

I notice that a lot of shows on this had their start on Cartoon Network.

Let's add onto that list.

Sym-Bionic Titan.

My Name is Earl. Seriously, it ended on a cliffhanger :okiedokielokie:

The Sarah Silverman Program :D It actually liked that show quite a bit, and it only lasted 3 seasons.

Futurama - it's better than the Simpsons will ever be, and the fact the Simpsons is still going and Futurama isn't is an insult to television :D

There is one answer to all of these questions, or two:

1. Some bigwig company went, "We sould focus our money on shorts, like teen titans go, and never do anything else"

2. GIVE US MONEY

That seems to be the case with Cartoon Network, with Nickodeon and Disney they just spam all this teen garbage with bland Mary Sue/Gary Stu like characters.

Invader Zim comes to mind right away.

I am so grateful that I'm not the only one who feels this way.

Sig made by Kyoshi.

Cool things people have said about me:

Never heard of him but I guess just you mentioning him is a good reason not to go anywhere near that name.

(In reference to an author I suggested.)

I have to be careful not to actually like anything that airs on NBC too much, because they always end up cancelling it.  There was a promising and already pretty excellent sci-fi series called "Journeyman" that got the axe way too soon, imo.  "Go On," a sometimes serious / touching, not-so-situational comedy starring Matthew Perry, was shut down; though myself and several people I know genuinely enjoyed it.  "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Angel;" even though they both got excellent send-offs.  I feel those were cancelled too soon on account of their continuing awesomeness.  Countless others that just aren't coming to mind at the moment.

I wouldn't 'exactly' say it is my favorite but the tv series The Cape, I feel one of the better superhero shows that ended prematurely and unfinished. Being a wonderful call back to the silver age of comics and a fun Drama series that can also be very amusing as well.

Simpsons are ok, but I do agree that Futurama is much better.

God I have not watched TV in ages, nothing comes to mind.

I happen to watch Futurama and sometimes South Park as it comes on when I usually eat dinner.

Megas XLR, or just about anything Titmouse(Downtown and Motorcity also come to mind) makes get canned prematurely, despite being incredibly awesome

Seriously they're like the Platinum Games of animation

There are a shit ton of anime that ended prematurely because the manga wasn't done when the anime started. Some are even still ongoing while the anime ended five or more years ago. I know in some cases waiting for the manga to finish is just a waste of time but good lord it's annoying to see anime try to fake an ending or leave off at a cliffhanger.

Tiny Toon Adventures and especially Looneytunes Show. Tiny Toons used to be my favorite show last year and well part of this year but it's just getting old watching the same episodes no matter how funny they are. Looneytunes Show should also be still running I mean it was good, had funny plots, had songs, even some life lessons in a way plus it's as new as the Amazing World of Gumball and yet is of course on Boomerang(maybe it even left there) :( that was the reason I stopped watching Saturday cartoons.
