Well, out of the sake of not choosing "other" - I picked Link.  Mostly because I always played as him in Super Smash Bros.  

BUT... If I had went ahead and chosen "other" it'd have been because I would have chosen Banjo... but really the partnership of Banjo and Kazooie (from the game Banjo Kazooie, of course).  It was my all time favorite N64 game.  It's not as iconic as the games that the characters we could choose from in this list were from, but I'm not mainstream like that, lmao.  Banjo Kazooie ftw!

Samus is also really great- a bounty hunter with a suit that has amazing powers who'd rather save planets and respond to distress signals than do things for personal gain, she comes off as very selfless. Not to mention that she's a strong(if not the strongest, like, ever) woman who speaks softly(she's only really spoken in Other M after all) and carries a big stick. She rocks.
