Urban Dictionary says: Brony: A name typically given to the male viewers/fans (whether they are straight, gay, bisexual, etc.) of the My Little Pony show or franchise. They typically do not give in to the hype that males aren't allowed to enjoy things that may be intended for females.

I'm okay with this definition ^

Let's not blindly associate effemininity with being gay...

brony - (n) - a slang term used by and among fans of the television show My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic who aren't part of the intended audience of the show (as in, not female and not between the ages of three and, let's say, twelve). Almost exclusively used to refer to male fans of the show who aren't in the intended age bracket. A combination of the slang term "bro," short for brother, and "pony." Though it utilizes the word "bro," people outside of the brony community use the term indiscriminately to describe older fans of FiM, regardless of gender.

...though honestly, I don't mind being called a brony anymore, it sounds more intimate (as in warm, friendship and family type of intimate ;) ) than pegasister.

I don't like to call people brony. Too much of a blanket term, in my opinion.

I HAD TO FALL TO LOSE IT ALL BUT IN THE END IT DOESN'T EVEN MATTER /WRISTS

  • 9 years later...

'A fan of MLP no matter the generation' that's what I would think it means

P.S. I've searched the definition before and it says I'm too young to be a brony... I feel miffed for some reason

Brony, bros who like ponies. That is how it was and will always be the true definition of it. If they can't understand then you know they won't get it really also a bro can refer to any gender too. Yet most simple is bros who like ponies.
