I slightly approve of this. Not fully, as new members will start new forum threads with titles such as "How do I become an alicorn?", "How do I become a bunny?", et cetera. I feel that you should at least include a pop-up message that tells new members how to level up, along with a PM to everyone on the website, that says something along the lines of how this is the exact same system as before, but with badges instead of dots for rank symbols.

Yeah this would be cool. So you can choose for yourself which badge you want to use after you have unlocked them.

Or maybe a way to disable/enable badges all together. Like that way you don't have any badge at all if you don't want it or don't like them. The ability to change badges is probably not something you can do. Thats something within ipboards settup itself, and feld0 cant control that.
