music Favorite YouTube Musician?

So, this is just a random thing I was thinking about. (I think about all kinds of random things, so I guess it isn't really that random.)

 

Pointless rambling aside, I was just curious. I personally sometimes listen to some people on YouTube who do covers or parodies. Some I listen to more often, some less. I don't really listen to a huge list or anything, but I listen to them here and there. Especially as someone who has been trying to improve on my own singing, and I personally enjoy singing, I feel I especially appreciate and enjoy hearing a good cover, parody, or even original song in some cases. 

 

And most of this stuff I find on YouTube(actually basically all of it lol.) so that got me wondering. How many others here have people on YouTube they listen to covers, parodies, whatever from. Or are even subscribed too? 

 

If anyone is wondering what qualifies as a "YouTube musician" in my eyes I think it is someone who is a musician who puts their music on YouTube, and that is atleast where they get most of their exposure from, they can still have their covers and songs on other sites and stuff to download, but they still upload their stuff on YouTube and that's where people typically find it.

 

As far as mine, I have two who I listen to a good bit. 

 

The first is a guy named "Caleb Hyles" He has a pretty popular "Let it Go" cover that you may have heard, but he also has plenty of other really cool covers that I enjoy personally. (I'd also like to throw in that he watches MLP! So yay! He's even done a "This Day Aria" and "Giggle At the Ghosties" Cover.)

 

Here's his "I Just Can't Wait to Be King" Cover, one of my favorites of his personally. 

 

 

The other one whom I listen to a good bit often is a guy on YouTube by the username NateWantsToBattle. He actually does other gameplay stuff as well as covers and parodies, and many of his early parodies are Pokemon based, even a few today, but regardless I enjoy his covers and parodies, and even some of his gameplay and other stuff too here and there.

 

He did a cover of "Simple and Clean" from Kingdom Hearts, and while I actually have not played Kingdom Hearts myself yet, he made me fall in love with this song! I think i even like it better than the original after I looked it up and listened to both.

Alright, so there you have it, two of my favorite YouTube musicians. Now that I have finished rambling on and on hopefully you have not fallen asleep yet, and you will tell me some of your favorite YouTube musicians!

 

Oh and one more thing, you can technically include brony Musicians, but If possible i'd like to try not to have this include just that, so if you can find any others i'd probably prefer that, especially since I think there have been favorite brony musician threads before.

I've heard about NightBreeze, but I've never really listened to any of his stuff.

 

Some really nice instrumental stuff seems like. The "Sights of Equestria" has a drum beat that reminds me of the Airship theme in Mario or something ;p. Not really sure why.

 

Sounded pretty good though.

A very different song I think, it's metal of some form right? I mean I don't listen to a ton of metal, but it's still certainly different from what I'm use to I think.

 

The beginning thing with all the narration type stuff was certainly different, and the music video was a bit confusing. But yeah ;p.

exmitary is industrial metal/punk /lunderphonics(sampling)and hip hop combined.

 

nldw and TME are edm/trip hop/industrial punk

 

 

 

and GP is just trip hop with acid 

 

 

niggas is just, i dunno what it is, its just weird

 

 

and yeah heir music videos tend to be low budget, dispite them having money for high budget ones, i guess is just like the statement they want to make, like you dont need high budget music videos to make good music and send a message.

Wow, Dubstep, Violin, and some Choreography? Combined? That's pretty cool. Very interesting, and I've certainly never heard of it, but it's actually pretty catchy. The Violin seems to be actually quite fitting with the dubstep. And the Choreography fits pretty well to the music as well.

Interesting... The songs all seem to be quite different. 

 

The music videos are a bit lower budget I suppose, but you can make good stuff on low budget, it all depends I guess.

Yeah, I don't listen to him very often. Just here and there, but he's still pretty cool and talented. If I had to have a favorite for metal stuff, he'd probably be it. Or up there ;p.

As far as music I was raised on, idk really lol. I was an isolated homeschooled child until like 8th grade, I didn't really listen to a lot of music on my own to be honest. Just stuff that was popular on the radio. I didn't start listening to stuff on my own really till around 8th grade, which for some reason I feel is kinda late, idk ;p.

 

My main genre I listen to is Rock though. But I'll listen to any genre, granted I find it enjoyable, i'm just more picky outside of the Rock genre.

Rofl, the African Tribal thing with "Royals" is just hilarious for some reason. I couldn't watch it seriously, but at the same time, it was actually kinda catchy.

Yeah, there is a lot of metal looking rock bands around that time I suppose.
