Casual Stroll - An Introductionary RP mainly around Equestria OOC [Open Entry For All]

Alright, finally done with the long day of writing the RP itself. Let's see if we can't get things sorted here then before I need to rest my hands.

Good to hear back from you. And don't worry about the format, that isn't on you. The forum have been like that ever since the first major rework about a year or two ago, and it still haven't been fixed. You should see some of mine... What a mess. -,-'

I like that your character have a solid background, and especially that I do not have to talk to you about godmodding, as you're already well aware of the dangers of that it seems. I approve. ^^

Now then, as for placement, you say he comes from another reality, looking for a fresh start? That means your intro was meant as the way to have him enter this reality instead, yes? If so, then I might need to feed you a bit of backstory.

To make it simple: Big bad monster attack Ponyville, it's getting repaired, Huge, Godzilla size'd Dragon is flying over the town, keeping an eye on workers from many different races, repairing the place. Ignore the Dragon, and consider the non-locals to be NPC's with little effect on things. The player who set them there to begin with have left us, so they will just be filler until the town is repaired and I'll have them take off for something else. Likely during the evening in RP time. (currently around 2-3 in the afternoon) As you weren't in the town when it happened, I can skip the confusing details, and stuff about how your character might have hidden or been away or something when it occurred.

So basically, your intro seems fine then. I didn't see the post here before I posted, so I'll give you one tomorrow in reply. I'll find a character to reply with, and you can have some fun with imagining what said character might have been like in the alternative universe.

The part with Ambie is actually intentional. Happy is a merchant, and the wood you mention he sees as being part of what Ambie was supposed to pick up and deliver, so he doesn't see that as being something he can just use without getting some hooves pointed his way.

As for why he isn't responding to it right now, it's because it is taking him an increasing amount of focus to stop himself from attempting to see if he can rattle Ambie enough to make whatever that's broken in his head fall into place again. Once he sees that the cart is okay, and he's working it well, he will start to look on what else is going to have to be fixed to make up his own cart, and then the part about the wood he offered will click into place. All part of ze magnificent plan of I, Sir Digby Chicken Caesar. (Kudos if you get the reference)

As for WIddershins the character... Smokey is a bit unfocused on everything else than a certain mare, and with the showing in his muzzle from earlier, I just couldn't find out a way for him to suddenly just stop up, clear his head, and go *You're not the same that I know* without it seeming weird. No worries, he will get there, but for the time being, Grim will somewhat gladly speak with him. You had him at *cotton ball*

Smokey is calming down now, so depending on how it goes from Phoenix's side, he will be rational enough to look over things, and see and hear that things are different. Though to be fair, considering how wonky the Widdershins he knows were, is it hard to imagine that the current one is just yanking his chain?

I am quite interested in the real world thing though: You're moving to Japan?! What's the occasion mate? Work? School? Intense Pokemon Fanaticism?

Whatever the reason, we better find your arms soon so you can hold your passport.

  Well, no, B.B... kind of aiming to sorta tweak Widdershins just a little bit. Make him a bit more... what's the word?... Conniving? More likely to asses a situation before just charging literally facefirst into things. That being saaaaid... considering how I have such things as time & space mean little to him, if you somehow manage to collide storylines enough to have Widdershins meet himself... chaos will ensue. Widdershins isn't self-accepting enough to admit that another "him" is still "him." A sort of Budgie Versus Mirror effect, I should say. Just with a Draconequus. 

 Plus... there's the little paradox of him remembering having met himself...   Well, I've always made it clear that its sanity wasn't the highest stat on Widdershins's chart, eh?

Okay, something tells me I need to have to take Widders on a trip then  before my mansion gets turned into a pine cone, and the Ponies into jelly beans.

In all seriousness though, I like the idea of having past and present meet, though how it might happen... I don't know, he will look for his missing appendages, and following the *sense* or *signal* of what he thinks is a piece of him, he ends up finding a whole other him instead? Might be possible, though he'll need some way to use his chaos first likely, to make it fair.

Also, kinda scared with the more thoughtful Widdershins. Less *goofy sidekick* and more.... Well, Genie from Aladdin springs to mind actually. All powerful, thoughtful to a point, and can really mess you up if things goes awry. This should be fun. ^^

If you decide to go to Japan, I hope it will go well. Enjoy the world, and go visit a Pokemon Center there. It's likely amazing. :3

Also... Counterpart to Vivid? I'm intrigued. May I hear some details please? :3 (P.S. If an Angel of some kind, know that Vivid is at a disadvantage. I support angelic light beating demonic energy, in case it was a complete counterpart you meant, and not another infernal entity)

 Oh no. When you've been piecemeal as long as Widdershins has been over the millennia, sensing where your parts were left off becomes very low priority. He's lost limbs and parts during his lifetime, maybe some eaten or forcibly removed intentionally. Kind of see him as a worst-case-Planeswalker; the case against interdimensional travel. Like, kind of see him having wandered into Eldrazi and gotten too close out of curiosity...  and being forced to take some Eldrazi fragments to patch himself back up.

 I want him Sage & super-magical but not that aware or powerful. Basically, end-story traveller. 

 

  I ought shoot you a PM about it. But no, that's not it. I have been mulling over an Angelpony though. A brash salesmare who became a guardian angel in order to calm her sass enough to earn a rank as official angel. Her name is...

 Halo Goodbuy.

  Halo being her rank title, of course.

 

What's all this mention of Pokemans, eh? I've heard of special deals or whatever at special pokemon places, but always assumed that meant some random gamestore.

This is the sort of thing I'm on about. Seems like it's in Tokyo, and it is a complete Pokemon-based store. Rather cool in my eyes.

Going on to Halo, I think it would be pretty interesting, but if you wish to introduce her somewhere, perhaps it would be in a collaboration with myself and the talented @Lil' Lovebug? She holds a scroll to summon Vivid when she wishes to, though it seems she is unable to read the instructions. Demonic hurts the eyes to read, so lets just go with Vivid's hoofwriting being awful in the moment she wrote, making it akin to a doctors note.

Of course, Lovebug haves plenty of say in this as well, and I will not force things. I merely state it as an option, in case the stars and opinions align. I am merely here to support you all. ^^

And thanks for the clarification of Widdershins. I will see if I can keep that in mind at some point, though I apologize if it will be simplified a bit when I do. Sometimes my brain refuses to access higher functioning thoughts.

Oh right, almost forgot: Something that you asked earlier it seems I didn't answer. The thing Happy is fixing is the part where Ambie is securing it on his back, and then to the cart itself. I have no idea what it is actually called, so I just tend to go with harness.

 So, first off, wanted to say @~Phoenix~ that I have an idea for a "solution" to your special problem. After all, Widdershins does have persistent personal experience with making & crafting a body. But I suppose that'll still be something to mull over for you & Smokey. Oh, and sure hope we haven't dropped your little ghost hunter mare, @Blitz Boom ! Had kind of hoped she'd come back eventually despite me not going after her. I'd like to see where you're headed with that story too!
