But c'mon, Dark Souls bosses were hard.

Who're you trying to impress with that level 1 deprived story? ;o

And even, how were you level 1 deprived in Anor Londo?

i beat the whole game on level 1. i did it so i could join the Darkwraiths and go noob hunting. Pretty fun when you get the Red Eye Orb.

The Story line Final Boss of Rogue Galaxy called Demon Battleship.

It's not that hard actually. The party consist of 8 people were sent to parts of the ship, while the main character, Jaster is attacking the head of the ship.

After destroying the 7 parts on the ship, the head remains. The MC is using a gigantic sword to attack. It's attack is slow and deals little damage. If we use potions, we're paused until it's healed, and even the basic potion is useful, since the first potion heals for 50% of HP, regardless of level.

IIRC, we can stash 50 basic potion and 30 Full Heal potion. What's annoying is that the enemy has an attack of summoning 3 electric balls that hits big. If we guard, the first hit will stagger and make MC go back to another electric ball. If MC dies, it's game over AND WE HAVE TO START ALL OVER AGAIN!

Well Discordian I haven't played that  game for a long time of Odin Sphere makers of Atlus Games part RPG and fighting you do have bosses that are tough in fact I couldn't beat the newest boss called THE UNICORN KNIGHT !  Also in Assassins Creed Blood lines on PSP portable have you ever beaten that pain in the ass bitch boss The Templer Witch she's hard and she knows your every moves !

Odin Sphere is pretty rage worthy. All of the bosses in those games are tough as hell but the one I hated the most was Odessa at the end of Gwyndolin's first chapter. I haven't beaten the game though and only got midway through Mercedes' first chapter when I got stuck on a stupid wizard you can only hurt with his own swords. That asshole made me ragequit the game. I've yet to go back to it.

Personally I had less trouble with the bosses and more trouble with getting to the bosses in Dark Souls. Regular enemies give me so much trouble.

Psycho Mantis from Metal Gear Solid. I must have spent about 25 hours on him before I figured out the way to beat him was to plug the controller into the player two port.

There's actually another strategy that makes him easy, though time consuming. You can crawl on the ground to avoid most of his attacks and then punch at him until you hit him. It can take a good while but it works.

Nim Shondu in Defiance. It's weird because most of the campaign up until then was pretty easy and you were fighting targets that were not moving around very fast, and then you get to the final boss fight and suddenly the difficulty shoots up by a lot and you're facing a guy who is constantly zipping around.

It turned out that I was able to make him absurdly easy to kill by changing my character build, but up until that point you were not given much reason to worry about your build, so it was pretty frustrating at first.

Shadow Of Mordor.

Warning possible Spoilers

On the first mission before you leave the first area of the game to the next area, controlled by a new army of Sauron. You follow Ghul tracks, from a wagon that was attacked, into their cave/hideout and once you're inside and retrieve the memory fragment, a Ghul Matron appears...well, that Ghul matron and his friends owned me a few times. on the time I beat him,it was a last ditch effort, he had minimal health, as did I, and so I used all my arrows and focus to kill him.I had just enough focus and arrows to kill it..lucky. as one more hit and I would've been dead, again for the 6-7th time.

-DOOM The Plutonia Experiment: I could barely get past the first few levels. Once I was bored and cheated to see what MAP32 looks like. Don't mess with MAP32.

-MegaMan 2. The final stages were a huge difficulty spike. It ends up being more frustrating than fun. Heck, I think the Yellow Devil is easier.

-Half-Life.

Xen.

Mega man

anyway, Elec Man from the original game. And no, Air Man is not hard. I call it, jump-timing, somehting you should know the basics of if you are playing this game.

Could never beat the final boss in Donkey Kong Country 1 as a kid. I'd always die at the second phase, so I never saw the end of the game for the longest time. The first time I beat it was actually a few months ago

At first I rejected the zero, but that was because I simply didn't understand it. Now I do.

Opha Superior (Borderlands: the Pre-Sequel). My word the shields on this thing are f***ing ridiculous. They are huge and regenerate almost constantly unless you get the right pattern. If you don't have a shock weapon you might as well not even try unless you're way over level...

Back before my Halo Reach disc bit the bullet, I tried to beat the campaign solo on Legendary difficulty. I got so close, to the second to last area of the last mission. I think this was after Emile dies, when you're trying to get to the giant rail gun thing. I could never get past all the Elites, and since my Halo Reach disc cracked and stopped working, I never got the chance to go back and try again. Maybe I'll pick up a new copy at some point and finally finish it.

Sans in Undertale was really hard to kill. I think it took me 18 tries, but I did it. So many times I got to the last attack and died. So frustrating.

I lost track of how many times I died to Jevil in Deltarune. I thought I was getting close to killing him a few times, but then I Googled how long the fight is, and I realized I never got much further than half way. I gave up after that.

There was an octopus or something that you had to defeat but I never got past.

Oh my God, I had that game. I've literally never met anyone else who's even heard of it. If I remember right, I think that octopus was the Kraken. Poseidon at the very end of the game was an absolute nightmare when I was a kid.

The final level in Tunnel B1 and its boss was a pain to get through. Also the final fight against Xan Kreigor in Unreal Tournament is rather hard.

Sly 1, final boss stuggle to get to the boss when he's down, keep getting hit by lazer and not fast enough. Give up.

Sly 2, final episode was hard cos wanted to collect the hidden bottles but keep getting caught and keep getting kill/hit quicky. Also give up.

Not sure I add this but Chase the Express, not sure what I did wrong but keep getting bad ending, played twice.

These are for Star Fox for the SNES.

There were two bosses and a level that gave me a hard time.

The Great Commander which was the third and second to last boss on the hardest route of the game. The first form was a nightmare despite how simple the concept of defeating it was. It was always a struggle to hit the final hatch on it. Its second form when you fight it down on the planet can be a nightmare if you have no weapon upgrades.

Spoiler

The second boss and the level was the Monarch Dodora on the Planet Fortuna. I always dread that level when I play through the hardest route. :yeahno:

I remember the final mission of Stronghold was a nightmare. You had to assault a superior force holding a mountainside castle, with several choke points that were full of hidden pitch ditches* and spike pits that negated my usual siege strategy of going around the tough sections of the defences. In the end I used a money cheat to buy more siege weapons and crawl my way up the mountainside with the use of excessive firepower.

I also remember some really hard missions in Codename Panzers Phase One and Desert Rats vs. Afrika Korps - indeed, most games where you have to play as the Allies and fight through a greater number of superior German tanks (the worst was a DR vs. AK where you had to take a German airbase before the aircraft could take off. Even though it let you steal tiger tanks you had to get through a wall of Flak 88s - all on a time limit. I seem to recall that you had persistent [or persistent elements? I can't recall] tanks too, so losing a high-end tank hurt.)

*despite the fact that there was a whole mission about keeping the secret of burning pitch out of your enemies hands. That one was rather fun too - you had to defend a monastery in a marsh... I set a lot of spearmen on fire that day.
