Hello, everypony! Welcome to the next stage of our third banner contest. After two weeks of anticipation, it's time to vote for your favorite banner, starring our lovable, down-to-earth Earth pony (no pun intended)!

 

This time, we hit a new record of 23 submissions! No shortage of enthusiasm here, I see. And it looks like we've got one heck of a talented community, too. Win or lose, be sure to pat yourselves on the back. Great work, guys!

 

Voting begins now, and ends on Saturday, November 8 at 11:59 EST. We'll then announce the winner (and the runner-ups) in the contest thread, and the community will be treated to a brand new banner!

Without a doubt, Entry 9 (the shot from Fall Weather Friends).

1. The visual hierarchy is extremely strong. You know exactly where to focus your attention very quickly: Applejack and Rainbow Dash are right in the center, and their coats complement each other without clashing with the eyes. The faint inner glow pushes the forest further back, making the duo pop even more.
   
   (Personally, I'd rather have the logo, AJ, and Dash in front of the glow for a much sharper contrast in depth, but it's a minor problem.)
2. It respects the logo the best while still being creative. The color is solid with nice tracking, nice kerning, and creative approach to stenciling it into the wood. At the same time, it puts in a drop shadow without using special effects like a blur, gradient, or transparency. The wood effects are there, but subtle enough to keep the logo legible.
3. The color isn't so sharp that it hurts the eyes. The calm colors blend with one another, and the multiple browns balance it out better.

Just gonna say that I have no confidence in my entry this time around. I had confidence in my entry last time, that didn't get me far. So I am keeping my expectations for myself at a minimum. Basically I know that my entry will barely get any votes, because it really isn't worth anything. Something like that from me is no surprise anymore.

I'm gonna go with number 13; I love the typography used in the title, and it just looks nice all around. The leaves go well with the month of November, and it's very clean and fits with the style of this forum theme/interface.

Goodness gracious, this ol' rally is full of awesome!  These all look really fantastic, I mean, honestly... just... WOW.

 

This is an uberly hard decision.

 

*Sigh* ... I guess... 

I guess I'm gonna have to go with Number 21.

 

I'll say this much; the deciding factor between choosing either 1 or 21, was "The #1 Brony Forum" on the bottom of it.  Had it not been there, I'd likely have chosen Number 1.
