My favorite is the Equestria Girls intro/theme. Absolutely love that remix. It fits perfectly with the movie, and the series itself.

 

A close second would be the Season 4 intro, as it has a slightly harder "rock" sound compared to Season 1's theme. Plus the background and the group photo is a little more interesting

Maybe I'll be the odd one out, but I've never been a fan of any of the themes. Although I didn't even know that G3 had a theme as none of the episodes (specials) I watched had it?

 

If I had to pick one I'd probably go with the very first on that list, if not only because it uses orchestral instruments and thus feels more special. The actual opening for the first series (this) is so...80s... and thus... not for me. lol

For some reason the MLP G1 opening I saw for every episode when I watched it was different from any of the ones people seem to show in these kinds of topics for whatever reason, but I think the G3/3.5 intro is the catchiest. Don't take that as a reflection on what I think of the series, mind you.

While I think there might be another version with the same song, I believe this is what they usually refer to in regards to the G# intro:

 

 

IMO, it's actually quite easy on the ears. I've certainly heard worse.

 

If I was to name my fav, I'd probably go with Rainbow Rocks.

Thanks to your links I did get a little history lesson out of this.

 

Pre-G4 is okay. But I'm used to the openings of G4 FiM.

Out of all the FiM intros I vote for Season 4. It shows more characters, Twilight's new status as an Alicorn Princess, Luna joining Celestia reading the letter, and Discord showing a genuine smile from inside Fluttershy's cottage.

In all honesty G1's....it's well animated for traditional animation the voices are fairly good so on...I quite enjoy G1 in all honesty it is for sure the second in the list.
