Pearl Harbor, directed by Michael Bay, this movie enraged movie goer and veteran alike, the main casualty of this film was history, the facts in this movie were awful, it seems like Michael Bay was using legends rather than history, to present this grave chapter in the world. Pearl Harbor also had too much plot, it was like James Cameron's Titanic, with a romantic sub-plot, set in a real event, then it goes to Britain and the Eagle Squadron, next to Pearl Harbor, finally ending with the Doolittle Raid, each of those campaigns would have been great in stand alone films, not a single two and a half hour movie, but Michael Bay's main travesty was too much America worshipping, it neglected the Japanese, the British and the French, who had little to do in this movie, despite the fact they were all in this disaster. A war film, is suppose to be neutral, to take no side, to show each combatant equally, of course Michael Bay is an action film director, which has a defined hero and villain, but war films and action movies are not the same, since not all war movies have combat scenes, so should not be confused for an action movie, as a result, many veterans like my uncle, who was a World War II Pacific War 4th Marine Division, he fought at Saipan and Iwo Jima, really hated this movie, and had nothing nice to say about Michael Bay, as for me as a navy veteran and historian, this movie is a mockery to war films, veterans and history, it also made me lifelong despiser of Michael Bay and his direction, however at least most of the actors would redeem themselves a year later with Black Hawk Down, directed by Ridley Scott, and producer Randal Wallace would direct We Were Soldiers, if you want to see Pearl Harbor done right watch Tora! Tora! Tora! released in 1975, that is how you make a real war movie.

I was a fan of Eragon, It was one of the only books that long that I ever took the time to read. I was excited when I heard they were making a movie of it.

But then I saw the trailer...

:(

And then I saw the movie...

:okiedokielokie:

Never before has a movie been so bad that the only memory I have of viewing it is the sensation of pain.

Avatar, Elysium, Transcendence, The Purge.

Misanthropic, manipulative, poorly handled to the point of destroying it's own ideas, and preposterousness disguised as smart or even the least bit sensical social commentary; respectively.

I don't watch many movies so I don't get much chance to be enraged. But I tried watching the first Saw. At the end where the woman gets the gun pissed me off. Any real person would have unloaded the gun into the bad guy. But no, this dumb woman had the gun taken away from her. I got so mad that I turned the movie off.

Honestly I kind of hate all "historical" or "based on a true story" movies. They almost always just have a passing resemblance to things that happened in the real world. Even though we were bashing Zach Snyder earlier, I actually like "300" for being just so open and proudly wearing it's "just a bunch of bullshit" nature on it's sleeve. Most of these "real" stories are just as much BS, but try to pretend like they're accurate.

Oh yeah, and don't get me started on any "Inspiring true story of..." movies. You walk into one of those and you know they're going to be laying it on thick.

The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug.  I've ranted about it elsewhere, so I won't go too in detail here, but it essentially boils down to this: I wasn't a huge fan of An Unexpected Journey, so I wasn't expecting too much from Desolation, yet I was still extremely disappointed.  I can acknowledge the first film as a good movie but a poor adaptation of The Hobbit, though I don't believe that Desolation was either.  Smaug was fantastic, and that's about all that I can say good about Desolation.  It's made it so that I'm actually not excited to see the third film (which has already managed to annoy me by changing the title from The Long Road Home to The Battle of Five Armies).  Ugh...

I just find it really amazing that they managed to squeeze a 9 hour-ish trilogy out a book that was shorter than any one of the books in The Lord of the Rings trilogy.

There were a lot of weak points to that movie, but I don't get the hate for the refrigerator scene. In Raiders of the Lost Ark he hitches a ride across the ocean on the outside of a freaking submarine. These movies are supposed to be a little ridiculous.

What makes the scene great is the intentionally "don't think too hard about this" nature of the shot where it shows that the refrigerator is "lead lined".

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles... the new one that just came out.  :( Actually I was crying more than enraged.  Why??????  Plot, weak and full of holes.  Science, not even trying.  Character designs, not a fan.  Acting, not very good.  Script, horrifying!  When I, a random college student, could write a better script, that's a problem. :okiedokielokie:  The only cool thing was a crazy avalanche car/truck chase action scene.  Which didn't make sense in the story at all!  TMNT was my favorite show as a kid.  I would run around the apartment whacking furniture with the inside of a paper towel roll.  SO disappointed in how substandard this version was.

Grown Ups 2 drove me to write a half-review thing when I got home to let out the excess rage from that travesty. That's the last time I blindly join my friends for whatever movie they plan to see.

They don't pick the movies anymore.

X-Men: Days of Future Past

Every time they made a big deal about Wolverine needing to accomplish his goal before the enemy broke down the doors and super-murdered everyone, I wanted to scream.

You sent him back to the past. THE PAST. As in, a time before where you are now. If he succeeded, whether it took him five minutes or a month to do so, the present should have altered for you at the instant he disappeared, because EVERYTHING HE DID HAS ALREADY HAPPENED. I'm not expecting complicated scientific explanations for fictitious temporal techniques, but honestly, how did no one bring this up when writing the script?! There was no reason for the characters in the future to be hanging around defending their little room for an indeterminate period of time while Wolverine was in the past. He succeeded, (after a fashion), and they all should have faded out of existence (their timeline being unwritten) as soon as he left their sight.

The Last Airbender. It was a terrible film all around and it was a shit on the chest of Avatar.

Shhhhhh... We all know it was heartbreakingly sucky :(

Whenever anyone asks me, I just say: There was no movie. :okiedokielokie:

Nothing about that movie is truly grounded in the original game. Also, cloud was never actually a whiny jerk. I feel this movie alone is what caused people to look at him like that.

It just marred people's overall view of the original game.

EDIT: And was Cloud just too cool to wear a symmetrical jacket?

Actually, it's not the movie either. It was Dissidia Final Fantasy. His artwork was depicting that 'whiny jerk' thing. But, even with that, I think Cloud is freaking badass.

Everyone be like Avatar and shit, but me. The worst is (drumroll) the one and only: Percy Jackson Movie(s)!

Well, this is due to the fact that I read all the series, Heck I just bought the Last book of the Heroes of Olympus Series. I found this to be humiliaing, since there's a lot of part cut out and characters not showing. I didn't bother watching the second movie (The Sea of Monster), since I predicted that it would be dissapointing.

A really bad movie? Hmm... I recommend "Srpski Film" ("A Serbian Film"). First time for 9 years I puked during seance.

This movie is about porno star, who receive a new job proposition... You have here: Pedophilia, necrophilia, snuff, zoophilia, rape, incest... First time i saw something with so many sexual deviations.

I hope I won't watch anything like this in future...
