Double Espresso used to be a unicorn, with gray eyes, and her hair was in a ponytail, not the choppy style she has now  (As seen in my CURRENT avatar, which I am too lazy to change )

My OC also used to be a Unicorn. And he had a more mare type face without the eyelashes. I think I still have some pictures of him from back then.

Then next was a pegasus.

 

And then he got the more stallion like muzzle.

My ponysona used to be a batpony, before I decided that a unicorn was a better fit for my personality. I also changed her fur colour from white to purple and gave her white socks and a different cutie mark.

Back in the day I believe Pathfinder started off as a pegasus. That changed though when I started thinking up an occupation for him, and magic was kinda required for the precision needed for map making & all.

First, I had different OCs, never deciding which to settle on until I made Timey Marey, but it still was not settled until I made Pierce Goldeneye. After then, I could not change my OCs. So, well, I'll talk only about Timey Marey:

 

First, she was originally going to have Carrot Top's manestyle when I first made her until I couldn't find that mane in the GZ Pony Creator, it was actually there, but at least I did not settle on that manestyle. She back then also had a different cutie mark, an orange bolt of lightning, and hence, Timey Marey was called "Ignition" back then.

Well, originally, he was a panda-ish color scheme, and also a wolf. Black tummy and eyes, white back.

 

Then he was a red/white wold with white eyes, and a hood, plus socks and a claw.

 

Then he was a blue/green wolf with, basically, the same stuff.

 

Then he was the same scheme as before, but a platypus.

 

And then I found FiM, and he evolved again, into this guy, who adored Rarity at the time (but he knows better now!);

 

And today, he is the Loyal Knight and Worshipper of the One True Princess, Her Royal Majesty, Princess Derpy Hooves;

my third was cyan, brown eyes, he had both eyes, white mane and tail, and he was an old stallion

 

my fourth design was light blue, dark blue eyes, missing the left eye, white mane and tail...

 

and my final design is light blue, light blue eyes, missing the left eye white mane and tail...

Tricky question. For my pony OC, Teto Kasane, I decided I would change it up. So I made a parasprite version, and kept ParaTeto ever since.

My OC Sun Flower used to have a different mane style. Also her maneband was white and her tail was a little different. I forgot her eyelashes in my first drawing of her.

You know how Henry Houdini hated fake psychic mediums so passionately because he used to be one himself?

 

Welllllll in a similar way, I really hate snowflakes (that is a character created with a compulsion to be more special than anypony else [coming from the phrase that no 2 snowflakes are the same]; it doesn't mean I hate your OC if your OC has any form of the word "snowflake" in it.... unless of course it suffers from snowflake syndrome ) and Mary Sues because my first OC was the very textbook definition of both.

 

I mean, he had ALL the bells and whistles of snowflake syndrome Mary-sues. Grey coat, over-the-top mane color, "hey, everypony look at me and how special I am" backstory that included encounters with the mane 6, and the most emo name you can imagine ("Tenebris"? Really? What the heck was I thinking?), making up my own cannon for some things, playing the role of the anti-hero... it was bad....

 

Needless to say, that abomination has been more or less scrapped XD I'm too dang ashamed to even put a picture of him up here.

 

That said, however, I'm completely re-imagining everything about him and adding him as a character to a MLP D&D campaign that I'm making, but he is in no way going to represent my ponysona, his backstory is being re-written (incredibly loosely based on his previous backstory, only one or two things remained the same), mane color/style less exotic, he'll be given an actual personality, the point of action no longer centers around him, but instead it centers around the Player Characters in the campaign (like any good D&D campaign should be), getting rid of any connection he previously had with the mane 6, pretty much re-building him from the ground up to be a decent character; but oh my gosh, I couldn't tell you the number of times I cringed reading over his backstory looking for anything I could salvage! At this point he's pretty much not even the same character anymore... and that's a good thing!

 

In other words, don't feel bad if you've ever had a Mary Sue-type character because holy hell was mine bad!

Funnily enough, a few days ago I redrew my OC, Sweet Style, and tweaked her design slightly in the process. The changes aren't extremely obvious, but most significantly I made her 'default' mane style the one that was originally her alternate mane style, because the original was a bit too Applejack-y for my liking. (it would have been okay if not for her freckles and yellow hair!) I decided to keep the pink bow, but moved it to a different position. The smaller changes are a bit harder to pick up on, but if you can tell, I gave her mane more volume, removed some lines in her tail (because it was originally a bit too complicated) and changed the colour of the camera flash in her cutie mark. (because the original colour wasn't featured anywhere else on the design and looked strange)

 

The new design is on the left! See if you can tell the difference.

Well he changed, but only in his backstory, because when he was younger he was a white pegasus with no devil's horn and no broken horn, he was also a blank flank, then he was in Equestrian Hell which change his apparence leaving red marks on his body and changing his fur colour from white to black.

My OC had a different name. I can't remember what it was. His eyes also used to be a lighter blue. And his mane was a little different than it is now. He was a pegasus before I changed him to an earth pony.

Pixie Doodle used to be a unicorn with a long mane. Now she's a Pegasus with a pixie cut, which was a recent change this week. xD
I prefer Pegasi, because I love the idea of being able to fly and be free..
Unicorns are cool and all but I sure don't feel very regal. x3

I've got at least...5 or 6 versions of Kaymen...first, he was a knock off sonic character, until I turned him into a rooster. Then...I made a human version of him, not much different from the mobian version. Then there were the off-shoot mobians, the rouge, a version I was gonna use for D&D but never got around to it, then the assassin, as in assassins creed, he was more humble and moral then the other two. Then I finally made him a pony, the pony of shadows...or, I like to call him that, an orphan Pegasus, cast away from the rest of Equestria, and befriending bats...and maybe a few more might come out of this

Times went through many different designs before he got to where he is now... I may still have some of then!

 

I only have one from the Christmas Video, but this was him before he got glasses, shorter hair, a chipped tooth, and before I drew him myself.

Well, yes. I don't think I've ever changed species for an OC, though.

 

My Ponysona, Mint Drop, originally had short, messy hair, and a bright blue coat, feathers the same color.

 

Then, I lengthened her mane.

After a while, I realized that the bright cyan was harsh on the eyes, and there were too many ponysonas with the exact same colors, I switched that color to a more pastel, sky blue. I also darkened her mane color, gave her mane two golden streaks, and gave her white hooves and feathers. I also made her mane and tail a lot longer.

 

After some time, I lightened the color of her coat slightly, took away the whiteness on her hooves and the gold streaks in her hair, lightened her hair color in general, and tweaked her eye colors, to get what she looks like now. (Look on my deviantart and search "Mint" to see.)

Oh, and remade her mane and tail style.

Once I had the basic concept for Red Cedar as an OC, he didn't change much. I thought him over a lot, and toyed with colour schemes in the ever-popular pony creator, before finalizing him and introducing him to the world. He's stayed the same since.

Actually, Emerald Star started out as a human character from another story. She still is, but my OC as she is now is heavily inspired by her.

 

 

The first pony version of her had a lighter coat, brighter mane colours and a longer mane. Her cutie mark was also different and at this point she just had a human name.

 

A while later I changed her design, gave her a name, resulting in Emerald as she is now:

 

I also have another OC who originated as a wolf character I created years ago. He's going to be prevalent in a fanfic I'm planning.

My first ponysona was an orange and blonde GeneralZoi pegasus named Freebird that was pretty bland. Then she got a mane change (short brown with red highlights since I dyed it.) Now my ponysona is an eohippus named Duster Dawnhorse.

I was going to originally have a male OC named Valor Dragonheart. He was going to be a knight earth pony, red, with a sword and shield cutie mark. Later I changed my mind and wanted a female pegasus and chose yellow as her color due to it being the opposite color of purple on the color wheel. I wanted her to compliment Twilight for my own headcannon. It still feels strange to me to use yellow when I had wanted so badly to use my favorite color blue but in the end I like how my OC worked out and I can't imagine her any other way now.

 

I could still use Valor someday for something.
