Behold, Starlight. The fruits of your labor.

sig-4720016.large.jpg

I feel like Starlight is missing a "breakdown" moment where she finally bursts in tears to be truly reborn. She's still trapped in her past and she herself is her own warden. Starlight bursting in tears would mean she's finally letting go all of those emotions she's kept locked within herself - her self-loathing, her shame, her sadness. That picture has much more emotional impact because of how she's accepting her mistakes instead of running and hiding away from them. I wish I could brohoof it more than once :(

Wait I can! Brohoof /)

The only way this situation could be worse was if one of the villains rubbed it in her face, or compared her to themselves. Sombra enslaved the Crystal Ponies, and Starlight, essentially, enslaved the ponies in her village. The difference, of course, is that Sombra didn't bother to force the Crystal Ponies to wear fake smiles. Imagine how Starlight would feel about being compared to Sombra.

A villain rubbing it in her face... Did you happen to have a certain recurring antagonist who've just sworn vengeance against Starlight in mind? B)

It's actually a possible plot I have in mind for her revenge. Trying to break Starlight's spirit, rubbing it in her face. Both by impersonating and when she's herself. And then the Mane 6 would try and reach out to her, struggle to defeat and Starlight will pitch in after being convinced she can know right from wrong. Maybe Starlight would've even been refusing to use her magic for anything because of her broken spirit, and it'd be the Mane 6 convincing her she can use it for the greater good (go go element of honesty, you tell her!). That'd be beautiful and a good way to end her redemption arc - if not considered over already. :blush:

@Sparklefan1234

"This sea is unequal. I shall split it in two!"

And thus a legend was born. Just needs ponies fleeing from oppression to complete the picture. :toldya:

Sounds kind of like Legend of Everfree.

Starlight participating in Ogres & Oubliettes!! :sunbutt:

What class would she be you think? I guess not wizard, she'd try something else but what?

I can see Starlight playing as a ranger, if not a sorcerer.

A ranger, as in shooting arrows with a bow, communing with nature and stuff? I'd have seen Fluttershy for that role. For Starlight, I was thinking rogue (because of her resourefulness) or paladin (because of how zealous she used to be). :wacko:

But since it's about changing from habits... FIGHTER!! GO GET 'EM!! :=:

Well I was thinking more just the archery, not so much the nature part. I can definelty see Fluttershy do that. But yeah, I can definitely also see her as a rogue.
